You need to support her as much as you can because it’s not easy for her now with no job and no income probably. I know that the distance thing is killing but you will make it even worse by putting pressure on her.

This CoronaVirus is not only taking lives, it’s testing marriages and breaking some

Hello house trust u guys are keeping safe? Please I need y advice I am confused. I and my wife remarried this year in Nigeria, she left to UK and promised applying for me when she gets bk, just for her to call me and said that the hospital she works is not allowing agency, that government said that agency is cheating on govt and not paying their taxes. So I asked her what she wants to do, she said she wants to start full permanent job by March and I have to wait for six-months for her to fill my papers. I said ok. Just for me to ask her yesterday, she told me that she is not working, staying at home bc of the covid. I was confused. She said some of her colleagues are affected with the virus, so I don't know if she is scared to go to work or because of her sugar problem. I am confused. How can she bring me to UK if she is not working. Kindly advise me. Thank you.
Bro are you living in an alternative universe? Give her time to start fulltime work when this pandemic is over

Like!!

Me I’m so tired of all the BCs my mum has been sending me: “stand naked in the middle of the road and you won’t catch it”, “lick the tails of an antelope, and you won’t catch”, “drink spring water from Judah, and you will be cured..”

I don tire. If I post my DM, you’ll pity me. I’m tired of having to explain to people that there’s no cure or treatment. And that they don’t need to go to the hospital (because that’s what’s putting undue pressure on doctors/nurses).

The misinformation is terrible!

Please I need clarification, so if I'm lucky to get a tier 2 sponsorship after my masters and I was able to complete the 5 years requirement of getting indefinite leave to remain, UK government can still deny me? Or there is something I'm not getting very well?pls people that have gotten to that level should please come to our aid so that we will not have unrealistic expectations.
If you kept your immigration profile clean getting ILR after 5yrs and citizenship a year after is less stressful than applying for visiting visa.

there is absolutely nothing to get disappointed about, are you not learning from the disagreements? some days must be like this........this will make people to be sure of what they want to post before they do....... or simply attribute what they wrote as their personal opinion......

There is nothing like disappointment here!!!! just air your own part of the argument like they did.
Please can you just stop this? You have no idea what went on and the sort of insults exchanged.

I'm a bit surprised and baffled that even with the 2 years post study policy some people are still painting a very nasty picture of life in UK. I want to state it clearly to those who are easily swayed or discouraged that you're 100 times better off in the UK than Nigeria and 10 times better off than other countries and i kid you not. The two year post study will help you secure a more reliable job because most firms are looking for stable employees. Life in UK is not the same as it were a couple of months ago, in fact you'll easily make back millions you spend on your tuition and much more doing casual jobs and if you're lucky enough to secure a white collar job your company may file for permanent resident status on your behalf which will enhance your chances of getting a better position and even citizenship. I'm not saying it's gonna be easy but it's worth any of your penny and trust me there's no better place in the world at the moment you'd rather study at. Just go with a plan and stay focused. Thank me now #winks
There is no evidence that PSW will help people secure reliable permanent job, very few will but many will not.

How is that possible? Let's not give people false hope as companies don't get involved in your residence permit application, that is what you do yourself if you have a permanent position.

Any post encouraging people to withdraw money after submitting visa application or saying that bank don’t verify bank statement will be removed because such information is not useful here.

People who ask such question have fraudulent intent.

sweetmelanin:
I've seen a couple threads now asking Nigerians abroad how they are "coping" with the unprecedented spread of this viral infectious thing called Coronavirus.. and on reading most of the posts, I've observed the sarcasm and subtle gloating of Nigerians back home as they delight in the potential downfall of Western countries while subtly mocking Nigerians abroad for moving overseas for a better life now there's an outbreak.

Nigerians abroad, please know that even your so called friends and family back home who call/text you to ask 'how far' are not doing so out of genuine care.. they want to hear bad news, they want to hear how devastating things are or that you've potentially caught the virus, so they can feel better about their pathetic situation back home while comforting themselves that they 'escaped' a bad situation by never getting the opportunity to move abroad. They just want to be assured that their own situation is better than yours!

There will always be a few exceptions to the rule as some people do genuinely care for their relatives abroad, but what I've stated is the absolute truth for the vast majority.
Yes i have read some of those comments from some cowards, the virus is also in Nigeria so what is the point?

NOTHING IS PERMANENT AND THINGS COULD CHANGE FOR THE BETTER IN AFRICA SUPERNATURALLY.

Bro, sorry I don't expect that from you.
We should rather emuliate your personality even though we are responsible to our respective school of thought but, you've gone too experienced for this. Still, I can contest what you believe!
Whites and Blacks are same. Whatever happens within the whites also happens within the black race.
We all have our individual experience(s) and can only make personal reflections based on that.
Lets remove this trait of inferiority or superiority attached to color thingy.

Simply, there are lot of whites who also oppresses the blacks and care less about humanity while there are also lot of blacks who helps and queue in the supporting system in their little ways so what the color thing about?

HUMANS ARE HUMANS!!!
The only thing missing in all you said here is TRUTH. If blacks care at all about each other then Nigeria will be heaven on earth.

Please don't get me going on this issue.

Have a good day

BLACK MAN MAKES MONEY TO INTIMIDATE HIS FELLOW BLACK MEN AND HUMANITY. GO FIGURE

Let me juggle your memory a bit before you drag me into your ”world“. The post is about a guy who came into Nigeria 2weeks ago before countries began imposing travel restrictions, and his friend is here to make some findings for him. You could have kept quiet if you had no valuable information to give him. But instead you went ahead to blame the guy as if his trip to Nigeria was after the travel restrictions. Next time if you don’t have any valuable thing to say, just keep quiet. You don’t have to always comment. And btw, people are still traveling (US citizens or not). Unfortunately, his trip was classified as ”non-essential”, which I expect that you will know is a subjective terminology. You cannot blame him for trying to make the trip. Secondly, schools in the US are not on total shutdown as you are once again confidently declaring. They only moved classes, exams, etc. online. Lecturers and administrative staff are still going to work in the less affected cities. In some places, hostels are still opened to students. Lastly, I am sure if I look into your other apocalyptic claims, I might possibly find that they are another fiction of some self-acclaimed intelligent guy’s mind.
If you are fortunate to be in my world you will be a lot smarter, nobody with a single brain cell travels outside Nigeria this time around. Around the world people are told to stay home, the situation in US is getting far worse than other countries but still you are here chatting dust. If people listen to instruction and stop unnecessary traveling the spread of this virus will be contained a lot quicker

Since you know better than everyone why was he not allowed to travel? Anybody who is foolish enough to head to airport at this time deserves to be beaten up and detained.

Common sense is really an expensive commodity

Where did you hear that it’s only US citizens that are allowed into US?
Schools are closing down, visa cancelled, airport deserted, airlines laying off workers but still some smart Nigerians like yourself think that its ok to travel? What else do you need to hear before it gets into your head?

Hi Nairalanders,

A close contact of mine was today denied travel from Nigeria to USA at Nigeria Airport, [b]stating at this time they only allow Citizens and Green Cards holders. As they deem the rest nonessential travel.

He's an F1 visa holder and only came back to Nigeria 2wks ago (Spring break) for some family emergency.

Has anyone been able to fly back to the US this past week or last week?

What has been your experience flying from Nigeria to USA this week? All information are needed please.

Thanks,
