Pointless, that can only delay his punishment, he can only run but can’t hide. His victims will still go after him. If gets a job his employer will get to know about his glorious past. |

dubaiprince: Thanks for this. Having the renewed passport before travelling to Naija would be the perfect situation and I am hopeful I to get it. I will ask during the biometrics. If not possible, I will call the airline to change the ticket date a couple of days before my intended flight. You will as i understand that the process is pretty fast now. I thought you can do this from home now with andriod phone? |

dubaiprince: Thanks Justwise. I already have a biometrics for renewal booked in London for April 26. The current passport expires in June and my intended travel date to Naija and back is 9 - 26 May. I fear the current passport will be invalidated after my renewal biometrics. yes that will be the case |

dubaiprince: Hello everyone, please at what point is an about to expire Nigerian passport invalidated?
My current passport expire in June and I have an appointment booked already for a renewal on April 26. I plan to travel on the 9th of May to be back in the UK towards the end of May.
Going by the recent updates that people get their renewed passport in just a few days after biometrics, I am hopeful of getting it before I travel but thought to check if I am still able to use my current passport in case I don't receive it on time. You can also travel with expired passport and renew it in Nigeria |

Dadzynomolara: People should do their thorough research sir reasons is that some have fix ideal in their minds about certain countries been 'better' than others forgetting that there are no perfect societies. Reasons I will not name any country in particular, if someone can get information that #36M is OK to school in the UK then I believed the person can do research in other countries to find out schools that will be more cheaper. It is a mindset. Thank you, I come in peace. Shalom This is another way of saying..i don't know what i'm talking about. |

Kongaone: Hello travelanders.
A friend met me for advise so I decided to bring his story here for a more broader thoughts from especially the experienced amongst us.
He works in Nigeria with a salary of about 600k monthly, he was able to raise 50m for japa which will cost him and his family about 36m to UK on study route.
Due to the current inflation, his office did a 100% salary increment making him to earn 1.2m monthly net.
His confusion now is, should he still japa or remain in Nigeria now his salary has improved?
@Justwise @nlfpadmin, pls help for a broader view. 1. Stay in Nigeria because you don't have the money, it will cost far more than 36M to study in the UK with your family. 2. Don't send your wife alone or with kids while you stay in Nigeria, you can not afford it based on your current salary and your marriage will be gone in no time 3. If you can afford it with relying on part time work to survive then go for it, it does worth the investment. |

Why did you not ask your friend that sent you that message these questions? |

HEAVEN4444: Straight to the point 1- UK homes are not meant for married couples. Unless you are a millionaire and can afford big house. Most naija couples are in tiny UK flats. Claustrophobia and they get tired of seeing each other. You better love spending time with each other cuz in winter when you can't go out it's just you and him in the tiny flat. It can be torture. Eventually someone gets tired of seeing the other and explodes in rage
2- many naija men are not used to reversing roles. They now have to change diaper and wash dishes and walk children to school and sweep the floor and wash clothes. Many men fight constantly because of this.
3- very hard for a woman to respect a powerless man who is behind enemy lines. Everytime you watch TV there is no one who looks like you. Makes you feel powerless. Like you are an unwanted alien intruding in another civilization. Your woman can never respect you under these circumstances
4-finsncial issues. Bills bills and taxation. Leads to lots of fight at home. Is either that you have never lived in the UK or you know little or nothing about the UK. |

Trendytessy: Pls I need advise on steps to take. When I moved to the Uk, I couldn’t find a house. There was a guy who said he had an air bnb to let for a short while and I paid him for the flat for the week I was meant to stay. Unable to find an house for my family, we spoke with him to let us stay pending we get suitable accommodation. He said he will speak to the landlord and get back to us. He did speak to the “landlord” and we started paying monthly for the room. It was a 2bed flat and we stayed in a room, another couple stayed in the other. We were all paying monthly. For proof of address, he said the landlord agreed to put my name on the electric bill as it’s prepaid but the landlord pays the council tax and water bill. Now I left the room since September 2023, I got home now and I saw a final notice letter for unpaid council tax from May 2023-September 2024.
How do I rectify this? I’m thinking of calling the council to let them know I didn’t register for council tax and it was done fraudulently cos I remember this guy did ask for my term letter but when I asked what for he didn’t say the reason. I’m suspecting he registered my details but didn’t put my phone number or email so I wouldn’t know. I’ve received no notifications of any sort. This letter came to my new address in England and this whole situation happened in Swansea. You need to do that fast, i think you should visit the council and explain this to them and get the record off your profile |

Santa2:
Its incredible how Tesla can go from one of the best companies to invest in to the state it is now in just a few weeks. Elon's actions and timing is very bad because even in his own words before his recent alignment, he was already facing fierce competition from the Chinese EV car makers (BYD, Li autos, Zeekr, Changan etc) that he dismissed a few years before. Have you seen the state of the EVs from China, they are extremely innovative, with loaded features for half the cost of EVs from the west. China's gone from a copy cat manufacturing state 20 years ago to making and leading innovative strides in AI, robotics and EV. Its amazing how D Trump is just making the case for China's rise, alienating America's goodwill with its allies (Canada, EU) and pushing them East. The next four years are going to be very interesting. Can you point out any brand or individual that remains valuable after getting entangled with Trump? Look at Rudy Giuliani and many others that went along with Trump nonsense the last time he was in power, Fox News paid heavily for lying for Trump. Many individuals who associated with that buffoon have suffered massively. Elon's will not be any difference, he will still get his govt contracts and recover his money but his image and brand may not recover from this. A lot of lawsuits are loading for him when Trump leaves office. |

Cyberknight: Well said. I think US tariffs are coming for Chinese EVs too - they are heavily subsidised by the Chinese government, which is why they are able to incorporate so many features at an affordable price. ..and guest what? The Chinese govt will hit back and Tesla factor in China will get it.. |

How much lower are you waiting for it to drop? Granted America is overpriced but its more than halved in price ...maybe half of the current value, anything Elon or Trump touches now dies. Tesla as a brand is dented at the moment. As long as he keeps hanging around with Trump he will keep going down in value. |
