sshola: Oga Justwise, while I understand that your comment is aimed at maintaining the traffic on this forum, I also need to kindly inform you that the selfless help from people like texRem, Lagosismyhome, walspring etc have gone a long way to earn myriads of people the help they needed when they were most despondent. This guy (texrem) answers questions here and we all benefit from him, but for interviews, it's a different story o cos it's a voice thing and it's one on one. Transcripts can be typed, but not interviews. You can't type response pace, neither can you type composure, you can't even type confidence and so on. You might need to change a particular response of an interviewee several times, how do you type this without clogging the thread? And there is yet to be a feature here that accommodates voice note. Please cut him some slack, at least forever. Thanks Its not any different, like i said before success stories here started way before the mock interview, you don't provide a solution for a non-existing problem |

gtjonah: Good day everyone.. Please I need some answers to this. Am not sure, but from all the messages I have gone through, I guess ATAS application is free, right? Also, if am applying for ViSA, and I have a sponsor letter that covers all my expenses, will I still need to pay or show proof of cash before I can obtain a visa? Thanks in anticipation for your answers.. Only the letter of sponsorship is what you need to present. I don't know if ATAS is free or not |

mimilyrics: Hi Justwise,
My school just replied my mail. They said that it was an error on their part. The company meets the Tier 4 sponsorship rules. I just completed my pre-CAS.
Thanks so much for your prompt responses. That is good news then, do they backdate your CAS or they gave you a current date? |

adewotired: Well, if Nairaland can create calling features, mock interviews(which require oral interaction) would be possible on here.
What is the use of private messages if they are not meant to be used? I know, nairalander hasn't tried enough, they also need to also pay your school fees and get you a job after graduation |

Mitchely: Sure, the team has been winning, but with still some delay cases. Any idea that can increase the winning rate should be welcomed if it does not go against the rules of the forum. What is your main concern? Its an anti traffic and a selfish idea which benefits very few people. If the idea is shared in public here many will benefit. |

gaviria: Coaching someone would not work well if it has to be done on the website. So many people with different issues, imagine posting answers to all the possible questions, and having people edit it and post it here after correction. It won't work well. Some people need personal coaching, and I believe if pms aren't permitted and supported by the platform, the opportunity to do that won't be provided. It works as many have gotten visas here before mock interview thing and open university which is a long distance learning system also works as many degree holders today went through that route. So your assertion is not correct. |

Mitchely: The same way a football team gets on the field and practices strategies and tactics to improve possibility of success. They could have just sat down to discuss such strategies. In my opinion, nothing beats a preparation for any test that creates a similar scenario to the actual test This football team has been winning because they discus their strategies openly and allow team mates to contribute, so there is no need for a new coach to start coaching individual players one-on-one in private |

Mitchely: I beg to defer Sir, a mock interview gives an opportunity of a real time practice of your prepared responses. Texrem does not charge for this, and encourages both successful and delayed applicants to share their experiences and transcripts on this forum. I am positive his interest is not to lure people away from the forum, as may be your fear, but to see more people succeed (more then the previous successes you referred to). What exactly does that mean? |

LagosismyHome: Hunmmn so many people have gained tremendously by the precious time taken by texrem and others to coach for interview.... not everyone wants to share their personal stuff here but are more open to discuss generic non personal questions
Why would u want to discourage this that has helped others.... There have been many success visa interview stories here before this strange idea of private mock interview thing started, so you can not attribute recent success to mock interview. This thread is 8yrs old with huge success stories and this mock interview thing started just last year or so. 1.What it is about visa interview that can only be discussed in private and not here? 2. What is that tremendous thing that can only be gained in private interview that is not possible here? Can you name any? This thread is the fastest growing thread in this section and that is because people make their contributions here and not in private. |

mimilyrics: Thanks @justwise. While I await the company's response, I'm also checking up the status of other scholarships/funding i applied for. When they say 'home government', is it inclusive of government parastals, Federal, state and local governments? I'm asking because what qualifies might be different from what they want. That way I can eliminate the unacceptable funding sources from the pool. Well established federal or state government scholarship program will qualify but local government will not be on that list. |

Question1: Good evening...
@Justwise, worry and et al, please I have a question concerning the Maintenance Fund. my mom recently divorced my dad in Nigeria and remarried in the UK but she now bears her father's name not her new husband's name.
The issue now is she wants me to use her UK Bank account for the 28 days maintenance bearing in mind that we don't bear same surname as she bears her father's name on her bank Account.
Please should I go ahead to keep the money in her account and use her as my sponsor because its almost impossible for her to wire the money into my account in Nigeria due to the charges.
please help me throw more light Can your mum transfer that money into your account? Sorry for late reply |

mimilyrics: Hi Justwise/Everyone. I sent the letter from my sponsor to my school and I was told that they can't assign me a CAS number because my sponsor is a business and can't sponsor me as per the T4 rules. My sponsor is a duly registered company in/and operates on 2 continents and 2 countries or more. Their contacts are even on the letter.
I've already replied my school with highlighted screenshots of the T4 guidance that deals with this (as my sponsor qualifies based on the T4 guide) and google search results of the company.
Has anyone been in this kind of situation before? How was it resolved? What else can I do? I need all the info/help I can get right now.
Thank you. Is the company registered in stock market/have shareholders? |

BadmanGozie: In my opinion, you've just sounded like your judgement is beclouded by sentiment. It means he actually did nothing wrong, you just decided not to lift his ban to prove your point to the detriment of other members he could have helped since his ban.
I don't know about other threads in this section but if you'd be sincere to yourself, this thread would be useless without the likes of Justi, Natty, Nonny, Leosir, Samhay and a few other persons.
If he were here, there's a 99% chance that he could've helped bigteddy and jofo
Meanwhile, its been more than 24hrs. #FreeNattybanta Sincerely this thread will not be useless without him and i'm being sincere with myself |

uptown17: house please help with my questions
my mum wants to apply for UK visa. she has a registered business (1994) but she doesnt maintain an account in the business name nor was she filing tax returns. In the past 1 year she does little/no trading in the business name. we intend travelling together, i have a running visa from years baq. her husband is late
1. do i claim she is into her business and submit her personal bank stmt with no tax returns OR 2. do i just say she is retired and be her sponsor? if so. should i include her bank stmt alongside mine still or mine alone will suffice? 3. for proof of ties, will her landed documents suffice?
Thank you 1. Submit your mother's situation as truthful as you can and avoid making false claim that you can't support. 3. Yes you can include landed property. Who is sponsoring the trip? |

drgodson: Good evening @justwise. pls, i'm currently not employed. Just rounded up my housemanship last month. Could this affect my application or should I still maintain that am employed? Mind you in the last application I didn't submit any evidence with rgds to my employment and the ECO didn't mention it as one of the reasons for refusal. Your employment status does not really matter as EEA applicant because you are not the sponsor. |

Beautyaddy: You are 100% correct. The U.S. embassy really needs to do this. It is obviously getting out of control.
Sometimes I tend to question Abujaniv and LagosNIV if indeed they're real U.S. visa officers as they claim. They can't be reading this thread and not be of great concern to make drastic changes with their so called visiting visas which has now shown that at least from this thread the main purpose of getting it is just to give birth in the US and not for visiting purpose. They are as real as it gets and have been as direct as they can on this issue. |
