Lightme: Justwise, Lexus, ibiza and all other gurus, I came across these cases Bk Turkey 2005 and Elham Goudey 2012, can someone pls read and advice if its anyway relevant to my case, which route should I go, is it to quote those case laws and say ECO was wrong or to just say here are my additional evidence in the appeal. We want to do this on our own, we realised from experience that solicitors are waste of time and money. You don't need to do any of that, add the new materials you have now and send in your appeal. |

nairacountry: The statement that biz money is not for "vacation" & can only be used Wen MD is going on "biz related journey" MAY not be correct after all. I used my corporate account for my family (of four) visa n we were all granted 6months multiple entry. Furthermore, I ignorantly didn't include my personal account nor my wife's, no Tax clearance whatsoever, included No intinery. Infact The VO had to call to inquire about our intinery and few things. We submitted and did data capture on a Friday, got a call next Monday, picked passport with visa (Stamped dated Monday) on Wednesday. Summarily, sincerity of purpose is all you need as an applicant. I really don't know what you meant by that. Business money is for the running of the business and not for leisure trip. |

NJN: My friend does business.
Meanwhile.. I intend to use my account as evidence of fund and all that. Is that ok? If yes.. is it ok to use my UK account or Naija account?
And lastly, how much is ok to be shown, does the money have to be in the account for a while (like the tier4 visa thingy) and how long must the account statement be?
Sorry about the plenty questions. Alternatively, if I could get referred to a site that has ll these answers..I'll be glad.
Thanks.

ajiedeko: Hello all, Pls I'm new to this platform. I intend giving birth in the US and already bought tickets for myself and hubby for 2 weeks in June with the intention that we will state we are in the US for vacation and eventually change my return date to a later date. Going through the posts in this platform, I realised I was supposed to submit a change of intent letter to the consular cos we got the visa for the whole family last year for vacation but didn't eventually travel. I wasn't pregnant then though.. kindly advise on what to do and if it is still necessary to get the change of intent done. If yes, will I need to change the return date? As it won't tally if I declare that I am pregnant and will be staying for almost 3 months. Also, what are the implications if I decide to go with my initial plan of just stating that my purpose is for vacation and shopping? Apologies for the long post. ..again if you have money to give birth in US there is no need scoring an own goal. You will find it difficult to get your visa renewed the moment you start fiddling with your plan. I'm coming to give birth in US and i have this amount of money to pay all my bills and this is my Dr's corespondent..is that simple. |

mrsbw: Hello all...please I got an infant ticket for my baby on Delta. The ticket is one-way. I intend getting a naija visa on her passport. However, noticed on the first page that justwise posted that if the travel doc is an intl passport, it should be a return ticket. Is this correct? You are referring to your unborn baby here right? |

Lightme: Thanks for your reply, I have other things that were not submitted, we been married for 6 years now, I have emails from 2009, videos call from 2013 which we didn't submit initially, I never thought they will say it's not a genuine with 2 children, I was more focused on the income and other areas which I'm glad we met, what is our chances of winning this appeal? Then reapply rather appealing because you have more documents now to counter the refusal points. You don't really blame the ECO because you submitted very little documents to support 6 years marriage |

Luggi007: Hello Justwise and the rest of the house.
After the IELTS exam i did in PH center, my school is just notifying me that it is not UKVI approved and that they require UKVI approved IELTS taken in any UKVI IELTS centers. A link sent to me confirmed Lagos and Abuja as the UKVI IELTS centers.
Ps, i want to know the difference btw the exams (UKVI approved IELTS centers and others), and if the UKVI approved IELTS exam is difficult than the other one. And any other info you got about the UKVI approved IELTS exam that can be helpful.
I reside in PH.
Many thanks. The difference does not matter, you still have to take the exam in an approved centre. If I were you I will be looking for material to read for the exam and not worrying about the difference |

In addition, I heard VAC Victoria Island is faster and has no fee unlike Ikeja VAC.. Is this true? No but you can still run it like normal account without going beyond the amount required for visa application |

lashani01: good evening all,
I have been reading this forum and plucked the courage to finally join today i am really worried here is my story in a nutshell would anybody be able to help me..i have been married to my spouse since october 2015, we have been together since December 2013. i am British of nigerian heritage and earn in excess of £18600 approx £32 000.i live on my own in a one bedroom house, the landlord has given permission for my husband to live with me in my home. I have a 7 year old daughter who lives with my mother. i am quite worried as my husband applied to visit my family and i in august 2014 on a visit visa but was rejected and told that the visa was denied due to deception as it is alleged that false documents were used in the visit visa application and he has been banned for 10 years. This was really upsetting but i have been going to visit him in Nigeria at least twice a year, we communicate everyday via whatsapp, skype, facetime and even calling each other. my question is we are in the process of applying for a spousal visa what are our chances??
any help or advice would be greatly appreciated have spoken to some people and they have said i should not waste my time as a ban is a ban and other people have said that this visa supercedes such bans ..i really don't want to put so much money in this process as it is quite expensive to not have a positive outcome..as i am sure we meet all the requirements for this visa but my worry is the ban.
thanks waiting favourably for a response or advice or pointing me in the right direction. God bless you Yes spouse visa does overrides such ban but that is on paper practically it could take ages as they will frustrating him before he gets it. Apply and be honest and apologies for that offense but it could go either way then tribunal |

Batba1: Justwise and all...please advise...
we use FaceTime for voice n video calls so we can't extract log for the entire duration...
as per iMessage and whatsapp chat logs...do you think one conversation per week is sufficient enough? That's the only log we have and its way more than 3,000 pdf pages long for three years.
1 day per week chat = A little over 300 pages Raw chat log for 3 years = more than 3000 pages
What do you think? If that is all then submit it because there is nothing else you can do. You can make screenshot of the FaceTime call log capturing the entries |

N101 : I've never seen the reality of "jazz" (an insult to the word) on the ground, just heard story story. And the people who were claiming "jazz", when you looked closer they were part of the problem. If you believe so much in it, trust me it will get you at every turn. Best advice I've ever heard? Go to Nigeria with a plan, and rely as little as possible on other people. Survey the ground to see how your plan can be implemented and be aware of the obstacles - there wil be many and they will try you. As others have said, be wary as a lot of people will be hostile towards you, both family and "friends". Even with all of the cr*p that happens, there are some good people with good hearts out there.Don't mind them. When things goes wrong people start looking for who to blame rather looking for realistic solution. |

I have also asked my boss to confirm again in writing that I am off sick and receiving SSP and that my job is guaranteed when I come back from sick leave. I have also asked the doctor to confirm my condition again in writing but honestly very confused as I had already submitted all of these when we made the application. thanks Ok..add them again as soon as they confirm that in writing. |

Please I will like you to help me with this. I a making the appeal tomorrow and wanted to know if I should only resend the documents I initially sent when I made my application or I do need to add new evidence. like I said I a off sick and submitted the last six payslips prior to me going off sick as stated in paragraph (6) of the financial requirement.
I did not send any payslips showing statutory sick pay, because that section did not require me to send any. I was refused just because the ECO did not take that paragraph into consideration and as such said they checked with HMRC and they were informed that the amount I was paid which was during the period I was off sick did not correspond to my salary as claimed and so they were not convinced that I work for the company I said I worked for. HMRC also confirmed to the ECO that I had worked and paid the hours on the payslip I submitted but the ECO still went ahead to reject our application saying they were not convinced I worked for my company.
please do I need to send the SSP payslips or just need to resend the six payslips before I went off sick as required. do I need to provide new supporting evidence till date or I just need to resend all the evidence I provided when we submitted the application . its confusing and do I need to send photos again. we met every other requirement except this silly reason that we were rejected for. the ECO completely ignored that I was off sick and did not take Paragraph (6) into consideration.
Again how much was I suppose to pay for Health Surcharge as we paid £600 and I have Indefinite Leave. Thanks and waiting for your reply This is an opportunity for you to send as many documents as possible both the ones you sent before and new ones. Especially any document that you did not include in your initial application will really help your appeal. So send any new document you have now + those you sent during your application |
