Being successful is not a function of location, truth is we need not stress ourselves to leave naija, some pple are world millionaires in Burkinafaso (one time the 4th poorest country). It is easier to be successful in your home country than a foreign land like SA.

3 years is the max I can leave, I have a job here I can't just leave, my wife has a career here so when u are a family man u don't just take decisions on your own. I am still pursuing my doctorate degree, it must be completed, but have started a process in Nigeria that will take me back and forth at interval till I go back and settle finally
That first line defeated the rest of your comments.

You used your situation and that of your friends as an example but we have at least 150m people in Nigeria and majority are not privileged as you are.

There are Nigerians doing very well all over the world who couldn't do the same while in Nigeria.

Doing well is a relative term because for some people they just want to have some basic things in life...electricity, water, good road, basic education and security, this is what Nigeria can not offer to many of her citizens now.

SA gave you the opportunity to gain your education on that high level probably on scholarship? And you are able to set time target to achieve that, can you set the same target in Nigeria and achieve it without political issues and lecturer's strike interfering?

Hello forum, I just got back from Lagos, I have not been in lagos for 2 years. So I visited for 2 weeks. All I could see are opportunities. Really I don't see why people stress themselves to come to SA, as a matter of fact I am winding up my activities in SA and coming to come back to Lagos, I have given myself 3 years to do this. None of my friends that I left in lagos is on the same levelthey are all doing better. Apart from kia and hyudia there is no brand new car less than 5 million, yet people buy brand new cars daily and u can't see a 2015 model of car still on display as brand new, most 2015 cars are sold. Its only in Nigeria a house can be 250 million and u see pple paying cash upfront.
I think Nigeria has all the potentials, staying in another man's land isn't it at all. Mind you, by the grace of God I can never apply for any kind of visa in SA again as I am a permanent resident permit holder so I am not saying all these because I am frustrated.
1. Do you think there are Nigerians living in SA that are doing better than their friends in Nigeria?

2. Why do you want to wait for 3yrs and not now?

Your wife needs to move to the UK first, get a job, a house and work for at least 6months ( i think) before filling for you.

Do refusals get processed faster than approvals or vice versa?
I don't think so, at the stage they refused you is the same stage you get approved.

Hello @justwise and everyone,

On the TLS website under Priority Visa Processing (https://uk.tlscontact.com/ng/lgv/page.php?pid=added_value_services), it says:

Customers who fall into the following categories are advised not use the Priority Visa Service:

If you have been refused leave to enter the UK, and/or;
If you have been refused leave to remain in the UK by the Home Office
etc
etc

Even though it's an advise, it doesn't say it must not be used.

Has anyone been refused leave to enter the uk/remain in the uk and still went ahead with Priority service? Did ECO say otherwise and what was the outcome?

Many thanks in advance
Not sure about that but why would you want to waste money paying for something that is likely to be ignored?

Good afternoon house,Please I need to know if the priority service can be payed for in CASH before doing my biometric ,because my wife is submitting the online application over there in the UK and it seems it not available online for her over there in the UK .so I want to know how the priority service is done in Nigeria .is the payment for the priority payed for online or CASH.Thank you
Apparently you can do that at visa center during application submission, so i guess its cash payment.

No interpreter. She tells them what she wants and they calculate the products and prices together. It's her money they want, not the English. But she's very good at Calculations.
That is my question..tells them how? With hand demonstration or her native language? Somebody who speaks or understand English language might have helped her through the process starting from visa processing down to hotel booking, dealing with immigration and traveling within to country she visited.

Do they speak English in those different countries?.
Many countries even in Europe don't speak English..

For a business woman, all she needs to understand is numbers and have business acumen. Business is a universal language. We have several Chinese business men in Nigeria, yet we don't speak Chinese and they don't speak English and they are successful.
Chinese may not speak English language but they work and employ people who do. You can not transact a successful business when you can not understand each other let alone traveling outside Nigeria and dealing with immigration.

yes i was visibly heavy but i think the guy didn't bother. he only asked me what i was here for and i said 'Visiting family", he asked me how long i was going to be here for "two weeks." (cos my return date was in two weeks= long story) and also how many luggages i had "two". i didn't have any trouble at the POE.
listen people be very careful with your answers. don't state your true intentions unless they specifically ask you. and yes i know a lot of people are going to counter what i'm saying e.g hotstepper but I've been travelling in and out of Nigeria since i was a baby and immigration rules are getting stricter. deal with them as you would deal with our Nigerian immigration officers; Reply. With. Wisdom.
good luck to all the mamas in the house.
hermosa:
@hotstepper I'm not lucky, I'm BLESSED and yes i completely agree, he was nice.
USE WISDOM people. i'm telling you from experience.
and the wisdom is coming from God since you don't know. i've told you. be careful how you answer these people and answer with wisdom i can't stress that enough. if you like declare your intentions, then let me know how that turns out.... no really, i'd love to know how that turns out.
No its not WISDOM and its not coming from God. Your true intention was to give birth in Canada and you lied about it, so keep God out of this and face the fact that you lied and got away with it.

Thieves, scammers and fraudsters lie without been caught but that doesn't mean that God protected them.

So, I added the doucments you told me to add and she submitted her application on Friday and I got a call from HO yesterday. I was asked about 15 questions.

Who's applying for the Visa?
Whats her full name?
How old is she?
Whats her relationship to me?
Whats her occupation?
Who's paying for her travel and feeding her?
Will she be staying with me?
How much am i giving her for the cost of the trip?
Who filled the form for her?
What do i do?
Where do i work?
Whats my full post code?
Have i invited anyone over in the last 2 years?
Who else have i Invited?
Will she be travelling alone?

Please Just out of curiosity, Why all that questions and if i answered correctly ... will she be issued the visa?

All you have to do is to answer all that questions correctly and honestly, why they asked those questions is immaterial because it will not change anything but answers to those questions will make or break the outcome of her visa application.
