salsera: I'm still confused how you got a new e-passport done in Lagos when your former e-passport had a different date of birth.
What you decide to do is upto you. They only need your current passport anyways. However the form will have a section where you are to put any previous passport numbers. That surprises me as well. |

Luggi007: To justwise and the team here;
I was given a conditional offer in a school in UK which requires IELTS. But unfortunately i did not meet up with the IELTS cut off, but the school is ready to offer me a 10 weeks english pre-sessional course to cover up for around 1k pound.
I want to know if i should go ahead with the pre-sessional course or to go and sit for another IELTS exam.
Personally, im thinking of going for the pre-sessional course because it will shortened my stay in Nigeria.
What do you think? Is that school a private college? |

Bbken: @Blaz, Justwise and Lex thank you so much for your comments and advice, I really do appreciate. Hubby's account is OK because he used it in May last year to get his settlement which was granted same day. We will gather every other documents that have been mentioned and proceed from there.
Hubby thinks we should appeal while we prepare for another application because right now he is doing his masters which has a huge effect on his finances.
Thank you for all your time. Oh well..all the best. |

Do you know how much each court appearance cost ?? Do you know how much is wasted just to deport one person ?? Presidents don't say shiit or have any right to tell a state what to do. +how much balance wld be enuff to have in my statement of account, will 600k be okay, as i'm goin for a wedding of 3dys and will be spendin 100dols per nite in a specified hotel by the couple..
+secondly is Letter of invitation by the groom(my cousin) necessary since he aiidy gave me the original wedding IV
+i dnt wanna book/pay for an hotel b4 my visa is granted, hope this wnt raise a red flag..
Thanks in adv
Cc: seyewest vozkini ladyguinivere justwise This is not about your bank statement, bank balance or IV, the decision on whether to issue you a visa or not will come from interview questions and your answer to those questions. If they need any document you will be asked to bring it later. Yes there is no need booking for hotel accommodation until the visa is issued to you, |

Cmeo: I still trying to understand why some people despise Arikair. I have flew arikair more than five time and the mess up I experienced that was their fault was an hour delay in Lagos but the pilot still made it and we arrived just 15mins later than the expected time and the second delay was when a very old mama went unconscious as we were about to depart for Lagos and she was evacuated. This caused delay but I cannot attribute this to arik fault.
I have flew some other airlines but my preference for arik is intact and I don't see it changed as long as their service is not worse than this occasional mess which most time is not entirely their fault.
Buy Naija; grow Naija; fly arik
NB: I don't work with arik nor have a family that work there. I don't buy that, that is blind patriotism. |

Bbken: Hi justwise, Lex and everyone,
I got the refusal letter today and the Visa was refused for 3 reasons.
1)communication (that we provided only one year communication evidence whereas we have known for more than 5years, that apart from my wedding pictures they are not clear when those other pictures I sent were taken. That hubby has didn't give reason why he has not visited Nigeria after the wedding in January lol( hubby just got settled this 2015, he was facing he own settlement which he got with out stress).
2) no letter from land and
3)account (hubby is self employed).
I sent pictures we took at the UK but I didn't send my flight ticket but my passport page has the stamp of the entry date and the day I left,
We only forwarded our chat from January to December 2015, we have emails we have been sending since 2009 but did not include them.
I don't understand the account part but I know that hubby made more £18,600
Now hubby want to appeal and contest the decision while we plan to reapply,
My question now is can one make an appeal and still reapply at some point or do you have to wait until appeal is over before you reapply if you are not successful.
I want to be able to make the best decision as to which option to take either to reapply or appeal.
Can we send other documents like email, flight ticket, letter from land Lord and others during appeal.
All documents were returned completely.
Please I await your response. Thank you I think appealing will be time and money wasting because your application was not well thought out. You did not submit enough material to support your relationship/marriage. 1.You need to submit dated pictures and not edited ones as many as you can, not just current ones. 2. Submit emails, chats, text, call logs from as far back as 2009. 3. If your hubby is self employed then he needs to do his tax assessment and get tac certificate to attach to your next application. |

lantrenzo: @JustWise : Many thanks.
Yes, for instance a training and testing program starts on April 19 and ends on 21st of the same month. While another is scheduled on May 22 and ends on 24. Do we have to show evidence for flight and hotel for the two at the same time? We just would like to know if there is a way to reflect that on the this application we are about to submit.
Thanks for your patience. God bless you! You can state that using the additional information section in the form but you still have to come back to Nigeria after April training then return again for May. |

The challenge here really is : How do we reflect in our applications that the training schedules are spaced out? That's one in April, May and October. They are taking place at different months. How do we go about booking for hotels and reflect the same in the application? Thanks Something doesn't add up here, you are going for a training that starts in April and finish when? Finished in April and another one starts in May then October? Or the same training starts in April till October with break in between? |

nineteenth: Hello everyone,
I need your candid opinion on a burning issue which has been troubling me for some time now. I am really ashamed and remorseful of my actions, it was just the situation I found myself. I was once a footballer and once had an opportunity to travel to Europe for my footballing career but this did not work out as planned. I got a passport for this purpose where I did not use my real age, as advised by my coach and agent. I later dropped football and went back to school. Now I am done with my first degree and I intend going abroad for my masters degree. The old passport with my false age expired and I proceeded to the NIS office where I met an Immigration officer who assisted me and got me another passport after I did the Biometrics. I actually paid him 100k for this. I really don't know if it was renewal or re-issue he did but this new passport has my real age and name which tally with my academic documents. The new passport has the old and new passport numbers written on it its data page. Now my question is, with the old number available on the passport, will the embassy verify and compare the information on the new and old passports?
Thanks for your useful contributions. Was the renewer done in Lagos or Abuja? |

lantrenzo: @justwise @OGreene and Great People here!
I need your best insights. OK, here we go!
I work with an NGO and we are series of trainings lined up for the year all in London.
One of the trainings will come up April, another in May and last one sometimes October.
Some of the attendees had travelled to the UK before. For others, it will be their first training in the UK.
Please how do we go about this? In terms of applications, flights and hotels booking?
Thanking you in anticipation of your helpful insights!
Cheers. lantrenzo: Dear Justwise, thanks for responding to this. The NGO is a local one but has membership status with few international NGOs. I will be looking forward to your helpful note here. Thanks Bro. If some of the attendees have traveled to the UK before for the training then all the info you need will come from your HR depart or those who have gone before, they should be able to tell you about documents your NGO gave them and documents from the training provider from the UK |

Please, for someone who wants to invite another to the UK ( a friend). Just 2 weeks visit. The person in the UK is a student and wants to invite his friend over for a 2-week stay. , what's the best way to go about it? what kinda visa is best suitable. Also, what are the requirements?
I've done some internet search but none seems to cater for this particular scenario, from the results I've gotten thus far.
Thank you. Do you work or own a business in Nigeria? |

wale006: Hello All,
Thank you all for the good work.
I am applying for a business visit visa to write a professional exam. However, the exam body which is based in the US but with an exam center in London does not provide letter of invitation.
What is your advise? I earn above 1,000 pounds monthly and already incurred most of my travelling cost (Hotel and Flight) when exchange rate was better, which means my only cost of this travel is living expenses.
Account balance is just above 1 million.
Your advise please??.
Thanks. We have answered this question many times here please read few pages for answers. Or ask specific question. |

No. £36,000 was the amount earned via salaried employment in last 12 months, other than the last six weeks whilst not working there. It I had worked the last six weeks that amount would have been £40,000. Ok if she is legally working here then both incomes can be combined |
