westindiandoc: I am still trying to find something. Looking through my emails and old documents.
Modified: After typing the earlier statement, I got an inspiration to check my other email. Evidences have been found. Now I can use it. BUT I worry that I would come across as being dishonest in the first place?? Don't u guys think so? Does the ECO forgive It's 50/50 and depend on how you present yourself case. It's depends on a lot of stuff...e.g when you applied for the visa were you working? How long did you state in application that you will spending in the Uk and how much were you budget? Do you have anybody in the uk and did you mention that in your application? |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(mod): 8:33am On Feb 05, 2016 |
Rihannaola: Spending 5 months in the UK is still within the visa's frame of use, as you're allowed up to 6 months on each visit on a non-settlement visa. If you stayed longer so you could write an exam, the visa also covers short-term study up to 1 month duration. I think the question would then be; did you have to go on a study longer than that, or you only went in for the exam (and how long did the exams take). These will help you define clearly the necessity of presenting it to them, and to what extent it suffices. That is not entirely true, given 6 months visa does not mean that you can stay 6 months in the UK without getting in trouble. |

She said it is so that they can verify if the two of them correspond. Please, is this true? Can we submit only his own? Because I have changed my phone a number of times since we met so I only have chats from early last year whereas we started chatting in 2012. He has all the chats on his phone. Can we use only his own printed chat records to apply? Submit both, his chat from 2012 and yours from early last year. Use the blank space to explain it just as you did here |

barbie05: REFUSAL ON TIER 4 STUDENT VISA hello @ just wise, I am new here and have read your comments and advise, you are doing a good work. I have a case at hand. I just recently applied for a post graduate course in one of the universities in the UK. I applied to several schools, one of the schools asked if I have been refused a visa before and if yes I should send the refusal notice. yes, I had been refused before but did not have my refusal note so I wrote a letter of consent to them advising the embassy to state reason of refusal. now this is where the shock began, I got a mail from the school saying I had a 10year ban for deception and non genuine documents. I was sad, angry and just confused. I really want to further my studies. this must be the hand of the agent I used as at that year. I also ddnt notice the refusal as I was more particular about a visa, when there was no visa I just ddnt bother reading why (very irresponsible of me).fast forward, I involved an immigration officer who wrote to the embassy on compassionate ground and they replied saying that the decision made as at then is correct and in accordance with the immigration rules however if I wish to have fresh documents considered I may make a fresh application, I am welcome to make a fresh application any time at our visa application centers and I should attempt to address the concerns outlined in the refusal notice. Gosh I was so happy and went ahead with my admission, got a good school paid my fees in full, had enough money for maintenance and was so happy to apply(another mistake I made, I ddnt address the issue I only stated that the ECO was not statisfied with my documents, as I thought they will have the response on their system. I waited the normal 15 days got a mail that decision has been made and was too happy to go get my visa (note I had booked my flight but of course I had not paid, I was just waiting for the visa) and there it was gbagaun, no visa. I scored the 40points but was still refused based on the decision on the ban. Now am more sad, so so sad and confused. I was given an administrative review and that's what just am doing. Now this are my questions; how long does an administrative review take? what are the chances it can be overturned? are there cases like this and what do you advise. its open to the house, honest answers plss It takes about 26 working days or less to get a decision. Your chances are very slim, you failed to state that you were banned previously even after using a lawyer to plead for it, its hard to believe that you forgot about it or the reason for the refusal. |

westindiandoc: Justwise, the reason I stayed in the UK for 5months was to write an American board exam not available in Nigeria. Unfortunately I don't have a copy of my scheduling permit as proof. What should I do? Should I go ahead and state this seemingly unconvincing reason in my new application? No evidence at all that you took the exam during that period? |

westindiandoc: Hello everyone, I am applying for a business visitor visa soon to enable me take d PLAB 2 examination for doctors. As a student in a foreign country, I had gotten multiple 2 year UK visas that allowed me visit the UK during my holidays. I didn't consider the technicalities of getting a UK VISA to be such a big deal until 2014. When I applied for a UK visa in Nigeria as a worker. I must admit I made so many mistakes...From money lodgement, to not providing a salary account statement and also spending 5months in the UK during my last visit. OF COURSE I WAS REJECTED.
Now I am pursuing a career defining opportunity in the UK and I would like to ask a few questions... 1. Should I defend/explain why I stayed in the UK for 5months and also the money lodgement in my new application or totally ignore it and treat dis application as an independent entity?
2. I have been rejected visit visas to the Usa and Canada, should I include their rejection paper/letter as part of the documents? 3. I work in a private hospital, and my boss doesn't pay my salary till d middle of the next month and not on any specific day. Should I explain that 'irregularity' to the ECO? 4. I received some cash payments for a LEGAL business deal totalling 600k about 4months ago which I paid into my salary account. Should I explain this to the ECO considering I have no documents to back my explanation. ****my closing balance excluding that 600k is still around 2.2m more than enough for my 8 day trip.
GOD BLESS U AS U HELP ME 1. Yes. 2. No. 3. Yes. 4 Yes. |

oganlalasokun: Please I have this to clarify I have been formerly married but divorced since last year but I have a child wit my ex wife I have got my US visit visa since 2015 January and only visited the US just once where I spent just 7 days. Recently I hearld that my ex-wife travelled to the US with my daughter who is just 5 years old, both of them went on a visiting visas which I am aware they got around last year September, I got mine in January. Now, I plan visiting the US for vacation next week, and plans to spend just 3 weeks with my friend Now, can I be asked questions about my ex-wife's who is currently in the US ? Reason I'm asking is that we r divorced and I don't even know her whereabout now, all I know is that she's still in the US since December when she went. I only follow her on the Facebook. 1) Can I be questioned about her, even though we r divorced 2) I don't have any evidence of us being divorced, must I get to the POE with evidence of the divorced ? Thank you house abujaniv: Hello oganlalasokun,
Yeah you absolutely can be questioned about her. The truth is that your direct family member's actions can affect your visa applications and ability to travel. If your family goes to the US and violates our visa policies, it is more likely you will do the same.

On the dependant option too which one should I mark as I intend travelin alone. You need to read each question headline and answer accordingly. They were asking about your wife's passport number then your father and mother details and dependants |

Portsmouth86: Ok so hubby has got a decision made email today for his spouse visa
Im not sure if this makes any difference but on Facebook one person asked me..." Did you get a VAF reference in the email subject line" intrigued i checked and indeed yes I do have a reference number starting VAF123456 (6 numbers but not these) and the guy said, this number was the same on his visa when he got the passport and said he has asked those with a refusal and the decision made email did not contain a VAF reference in the email subject line.
I thought that maybe it was just the application ref but this starts with GWF which is also in the message of the email
Can anyone check their emails, this could give us an indication before we receive the passports back thank you That is not always the case, that number is your unique application Ref number whether given or denied the corespondent will contain that number. That has been argued here before and it turns out to be false. I have seen many refusal letter with that number and have also seen successful ones containing that Ref number |

My turn was paid into my account (450,000) seven months ago and it state thrift& ajo from my association by the depositor....and Definetly it will make my account balance look 9times my disposal income
I have a healthy account of 150k income every month.
My question is how do I fill this in my application section of INCOME & EXPEDITURE.(do you have savings e.g from stock and shares)
Is it other source friend & family or savings and investment . Technically no, your income is your salary in this case and that is what will be considered. |

This thread is becoming overwhelming!
I believe it's mainly because candidates for both study and employment visas are lumped together on the same thread.
How about having separate threads like that of Canada i.e. "Travelling to Canada" as distinct from "Skilled Worker/Express Entry"?
It would really help to locate information more readily. The current structure can sometimes be confusing. You can start one if you have knowledge in that area. |

Ildi: This is making me extremely nervous and we haven't even started. Yes I am aware of all the reasons and some false declaration. When you say address all those reason in the application form do you mean enter the correct informations this time. Or wrote a cover letter to address each of those issues on this past application. I am so worried because some info on the spouse application won't match up the ones on the previous applications. This is cos I am making sure there is no wrong info or declaration this time. I really don't know what impact this will hv on the application.
I also want to try the priority, not sure if that's even possible. Any, you either address those issues on the application form or use separate paper to do that. It's important that information they have already about your husband and yourself match, you don't have to panic, what has happened in the past has happened this is the opportunity to start putting record straight. |

What the dude posted from A to zett is negativity. How will that encourage anyone who's out there dreaming quietly? That there's a high chance of regretting? How are people now doing it? How did he do his own? Well I believe only a dummy would let a random post by some dude online daint their aspirations. Keep dreaming bloods, keep working hard, give your very best and always be smart about it all. Trust me you won't have regrets. Das ist alles. You are reacting this way because you read his post with closed mind, you don't want to read anything other than fairy tale story about life in Germany. This is very common reaction in any thread in this section, many hopefuls will see it as negative and start posting like you are doing now but the moment they got their visas and left you hardly see them here again posting because reality had set-in and struggle is real. Good luck bruv and all the best with your preparation you will learn from the experience. |

Rubbers: We've all seen such posts on USA, UK, Canadian thread and the rest. He should have nailed the coffin by telling us how he madly regrets ever going to Germany. Who doesn't know over-expectation is bad? When you zoom off without plans or preparations and expect to make a million euros without hardwork , that's what's bad and thats when one would be disappointed. I doubt any smart person thinks that way. Or are you advising ode's? They barely exist on this thread. So everyone in Germany works from 4am to 2am, suffer in school, gets molested by ice block, saves only 50euro per month and ends up frustrated? I didn't know all that. People still come and drop long posts about how horrible life is in the states and blabla and people are still there making it smartly. You even get money to pay bills, come for Naija see if bill even dey for boys to pay (Shey you go get crib before you pay rent? ; D ). Abeg for those discouraged una fit bone winter application cos most schools I dey apply to dey only admit like 20 people so I need enough space plus less stress during visa, e no go bad if embassy start to give 5 appointment dates ask us to choose any three we like ; D @Schwartz Hit that KK and be yourself bro. I know that many of you will get the wrong end of his post, he was not discouraging anybody but rather telling people to manage their expectation and prepare before leaving Nigeria. Don't expect everybody to come here to tell you what they are going through because people like you will call them enemy of progress and accused them of discouraging you from achieving dream of studying abroad. Its very easy to dream big influenced by unrealistic expectation while still in Nigeria but when you get out you stopped picking calls from home. |
