chingyjant: Nice answer or should i say reply you are giving to the OP.But point of correction the USC child can only file for the immediate relative(Parent) when he or she is 21 years old anything short of that no way.I believe this lady wants to go put to bed again in the US that is why are despiration keep on rising. You adviced her are to go to Europe instead not all like the Europe thing.America seem to alot of people as the koko.I know how i got my Visa and thereafter stayed back to get my Resident Permit. Its not easy bro.Presently am an expert on Immigration law and i bet you this woman or OP should just stick to her lies and leave herself at the mercy of the consular because she has already lied under oath which is call Perjury. Are going there to tell the truth will not make a difference but i will advice her to do what her mind tell her either spill the bean or remain resolute.I will also like to advice her though late when her visa was still valid she could have tried Canada then while in Canada crossed through the Land border to enter the US thats if she wanted to come and deliver and thereafter leave again back to Canada through the land boarder or best deliver in Canada because i dont see the difference. As far she gat American Visa even expired one Canada will surely give her just that she has to package her document properly and must have enough money in her statement of account. There is no need killing yourself over American visa when you can use it as a security to get a Canada visa thats if you wanna go deliver anyway
Do you know that she went, told the truth, and got her visa?

mypearl: pls i need the advice of the house. in 2009 while planning for my wedding i applied for a UK visa with the intention of going to shop for the wedding but was denied. Reason was I had too much money that was not part of my salary. I asked my husband to use the acct then for his business so large sums was moving in and out of it thinking it will improve my chances. the denial letter stated i had too much money which was not accounted for in my application. though there was the option of appeal i didnt border.
Now my husband and i with our 7mnth old baby wants to travel for summer. in order to avoid errors we decided to use an agent.I wanted to change my passport data to bear my husband's name but the agent adviced against it.
but my concern now is that do i stand a chance with my old passprt? the agent is charging us about N350k.Is that not too high? his reason is that he is charging that much cos i have been denied before.
we have the neccessary funds for this trip. i work and my husband works and does business on the side. our joint sal is above 500k
Do i need to change my passport or i shld use the current one as advised by d agent.
is the agent chg not too expensive? is my refusal to appeal going to affect my chances?

Justwise and others pls advice
you should have asked these questions before going to the agent, since he has been paid to do the job there is no point advicing you

lafflaff123: @OP just curious. Why the desperation to go the US?you have been denied twice and i am a 100% certain you will be denied again.

Are there no other countries you can go to?something tells me you are pregnant again and want to still pull a fast one on them, unfortunately they are not stupid.

For you to have gone for an interview and gotten a visa without a noticeable bump in your stomach, must mean you had gone to the interview at the early stage, and to have stayed in the US to give birth must mean that you overstayed the 6 months usually approved for tourist visa holders.

The law your broke is not just given birth there but also going againt your visa rules by overstaying.

You can write a letter to Obama and you will still not get it, so my advice for you since you like the US very much is to wait until your child is 18 to 21 years old and working in the US to then file an immigrant visa for you,but until then try some other countries like (DUGBE)sorry,i mean UK.

Reminds me of a Senator in Nigeria representing Bauchi North in 2009 who had a visa to the US to come for Obama's swearing in,but came two weeks after he was sworn in.

He was deported back to Nigeria.

Once the US have you in their BLACK BOOK begin try DUGBE instead of wasting your time and money.
lafflaff123: And again JUSTWISE stick your mouth into things you know about instead of giving people false hope, instead of telling them the truth.

Concentrate on Cyprus,Malta and those stupid countries you are an expect in as it is not necessary you comment on everything you see on the TRAVEL page.

And for the OP i ask again, and i am sure the Consular Officer will ask you the same thing and that is WHAT EXACTLY DID YOU LEAVE BEHIND IN THE US THAT YOU SO DESPERATELY WANT TO GO BACK FOR?common sense will tell the consular officer that a lady who has ran afoul of the US VISA laws and has applied 3 Times within a short span of time ,can only mean something is not right.

If its for vacation, there are other places to go on vacations.

If its for a family visit, your family can visit you and if its for business you can go to other places or countries for business so why the United States?

Do i wish you luck after playing a fast one on the US Embassy?NO.

And that is for every fast one played on the US Embassy which later turns up discovered always end up BLOCKING the ways for other FEMALES who are not pregnant and genuinely want to come and visit the US and not give birth.

Very soon the US will introduce a law insisting people take pregnancy test from a designated hospital a week before their interview because of people like you.

@Justwise i doubt if you have seen the inside of a US Consulate in your life let alone ever been in the US as you will not be giving your crappy advice when it comes to the matters of the United States.

Make i find my IJEBU GARRI and GROUNDNUT soak this afternoon JOOR.
Sometimes it pays to shut up a bit.

mamathrice: Well - am back from the interview and I did what I said I would do. I told the truth, held nothing back. I was told that my lies caused my previous refusals and I had broken the first rule of the system by lying.

I was given the visa. I left the embassy in tears. Even though I was given, it is still a very painful experience, especially as it was something that I could have avoided with a little honesty.

Let this be a lesson to anyone who ever finds herself in my shoes. Tell the truth and keep your dignity. It might not alwaysget you what you want but you will be able to hold your head high in the end.
Can i just say a massive congratulation!!! i'm so happy for you!

letsgohome: Thanks Justwise,

Okay. Remember i said my salary was paid into my friend's account, up until december, and i've got all my payslips to prove that. I also spoke to my bank in the UK, and they are going to send me my bank statement, from August. That means i can now use my UK bank statement and my Nigerian bank statement.
What's the implication involved in using my US bank statement? Can you please suggest what i can do to get this application right?
Thanks
Use your UK or Nigeria account if you have enough money for the trip on them, avoid late payment into any of those accounts. You have 'contaminated' your US account by making late payment into it and printing the bank statement the same day.

lafflaff123: @Justwise of course my post is full of assumptions and yours as the EXPERT/CONSULAR OFFICER/IMMIGRATION LAWYER/KNOW ALL/EVERYBODY ELSE IS WRONG EXCEPT ME/SABI SABI/SUPER MOD is always right.

Stick to things in Europe you know about.

The United States will not tell you that you have been banned for violating any of their regulations as they are not answerable to anybody as compared to their European counter parts, but will continue to string you along by collecting your visa application fee because thats more money into their coffers.

The OP should stop wasting her time pursuing the United States and try somewhere else.

The United States is very strict against HEALTH TOURIST and that was what she was even if she paid the hospital bills.

Ever heard the word lying under OATH?the consular officer specifically ASKED her if she was PREGNANT and she LIED?it does not matter her excuse of not knowing if she wants to have the baby or not but the point is she LIED.

Pregnant women go for Visa interviews and tell the consular officers they are pregnant and still get their visa's and in her own case she played the typical NIGERIAN I AM SMARTER than everybody.

@Justwise ever gone for a US interview in your life?do you think the consular will have the time to be listening to her pleas of what happened with her not planning on having the baby in the US?her case would have been decided before she walks through the DOOR, but they have to follow the formality of conducting the interview after all she paid the visa fee for interview.

Let her go to T.B Joshua to get annointing oil,she will still be denied.

@OP try Europe. Its easier to go their and their record keeping is very poor plus if you have a baby there and have hospital payments receipt they allow you in again. But for the United States?you can continue seeing it on CNN or Cable until your child turns 18 and files for immigrant visa for you.

Again another baseless assumptions, you really like hearing your own voice. I have gone for US visa interview before and i don't need your lecture about how US visa rule works.

The op accepted her mistake, she zeroed down her mind to whatever the result maybe, why are you busy ranting about what she already knew? Read her post again and give yourself a break.

letsgohome: Hi Justwise, I have another questions. Thanks for previous responses. Like i already stated, i applied as a general visitor. I left the UK last year, after my masters. I'll be visiting a friend, this easter, for two weeks. The bank statement i have for the US is barely a month old. I still have an active UK account, but don't have a 6-month statement (this for this past month), and to be frank with you, it's the person that invited me that transferred additional money to my account, and i printed my statement on the same day. The reason being that while i was working in the UK, my salary was paid directly into her account (A letter authorizing that was sent to my employer) and i requested for money as the need arose. I have my payslips from July to Dec 2012, showing how much i was paid.
I also have my Nigerian account statement which shows transactions in and out, for 6months, up until jan 1, 2013, but with a meager closing balance.
What hurdles do you think i might face, in terms of evidence of funds?

thanks
Those are red flags there. Two things that will probably go against you are: You don't have a strong tie to US and you are not financially capable for the trip.

Your bank statement gave away everything.

mamathrice: I never overstayed or broke any rules during my trip. I travelled to the US twice, first for a short visit and secondly to have my baby - I stayed for 3 months, half the duration of my i94.

Thank you, vivichocs. I don't really think the truth will help me in this case but I've come to the bitter realisation that deceit only reaps sorrow and loss.
Whatever the outcome will be is not the end of the world, the mistake is made already there is not point dragging it. Go for your interview and explain things as clearer as you can.

All the very best.

Crosser005: Hi Justwise,

I hope you can help me here. I am applying for a settlement visa. My sponsor is self-employed, and she does her own taxes. We sent in our application including tax returns, but we just received an email from the ECO requesting us to submit "the latest unaudited accounts and an accounts certificate of confirmation, from an accountant who is a member of a UK Recognized Supervisory Body". Does this mean she will have to have her taxes done by a professional accountant in order for it to be approved? Any recommendations or advice on how to do this quickly?

Thank you in advance!
The highlighted part is exactly what you need to do. Get an accountant who is a member of a UK Recognized Supervisory Body to do it.
You are too daft and I will break it down for you.

A crime is a crime. I believe you'll say the say when the gun is pointed at your head. If the politicians have been paraded by EFCC we wouldn't have YYB spread throughout the country. The agency is putting the cart before the horse. You talked about Ibori. What could have made Ibori get to a prominent office? Are you a learner? Was it by merit? Mr man, I don't want to start preaching. Apprehending YYB doesn't make sense as of the situation on board. Yahoo will eradicate itself once the agency starts locking up the right people.

One prayer I have for you is that some of the YYB that are back into robbery will touch your relative(s) so that you can wish they were doing yahoo. Talk is cheap because you are in abroad and you don't know what we, ordinary citizens face by robbers.
How old is this muppet? Who told you that if EFCC starts parading thieving politicians that 419nering will stop? Are you this clueless? Yahoo yahoo boys are not activist, they are not doing what they are doing in protest, these are bunch of criminals, some politicians have been paraded before, jailed, did that reduced the activities of yahoo yahoo boys?

You should be the last plonker to pray for me, don't bother but if you must pray make sure you are asking God for forgiveness because your life and that of your relatives are not immured from armed robber's bullets.

All you have been displaying here is your slavery mentality, and your daftness has eaten deep into your skull that you have problem with comprehending. The difference between you and GEJ is that you are in UK and GEJ is in Nigeria. You are like a president over your families that are in Nigeria. Intelligence is miles far from you and vigourisity is your enemy for life. Read my post again or get help from your child.

For example:

Mr thief has taken all sort of drugs and he's no longer on his senses.

Mr thief busted into mr justwise's house.

Mr thief shot mr justwise as robbery is in progress due to the drugs he has taken.

Mr justwise's enemy passes out.

My point is this ( i guess you need to be remembered since you are too s7upid to get it) Crime is crime, people should not be giving excuses why certain people should not be paraded or locked up.

Whether the armed robber is on drug or cheap grass its pointless, he deserved to be locked up/killed. Don't blame the drug he took, he is responsible for his actions period!
