helsinkiman: Ecowas parliamentarians have approached the EU to agree to a visa free regime between Ecowas and the EU. This means that west africans wont require visa to travel to the EU. Whats your opinion on this. For me its a welcome development if agreed upon.

jidebobo: Thanks so much for the link. But I still want more light to the query, because I applied as student with all necessary document from my guidance such C of O, Bank stat,& co. I wanted to know if I still need my personal bank statement as student to submit to embassy, because I don't have any.
You are mixing things up here, from your refusal letter you posted here many times, you did not apply for student visa, that statement is for visiting visa refusal.

This is student visa guidance https://www.nairaland.com/826936/uk-student-visa-tier-4
Thank you so much. I restrained my self from replying/posting until I saw your post. Reading through the post makes me ashamed and sadly, know that we are on a very looooooonnnng thing in Nigeria. See them defending criminals, forgetting its the same people that will become PDP, ACN, CPC politicians tomorrow. Still, these same folks are demanding for justice for theiving politicians.

THEIVING POLITICIANS are Yahoo boys in high political places! If they were caught in their "small beginnings" like these crooks, we would not be here crying.

And shame on those who say they are trying to survive! No! They are trying to create/live the same FALSE LIVES like the theives called politicians today!
I feel the same, the same people here crying their eyes out because a group of criminals were arrested are the same Nigerians who will be trouping in to churches on Sunday praying for God's intervention for Nigeria but when they saw some arrested criminals they started attacking the Govt.

Do you still wonder why we Nigerians pray and fast so much with little result? Yes God knows our hearts even before we go on our knees, he knows the 2faced hypocrites who pretend to be praying but at the same time supporting criminals.

Jokers!!!

Don't mind them, they can cry their eyes out.

Reading some of the posts here is like listening to jailed criminals and their loved ones after court case.

Shameless people, so because they are not politicians they should be let out? Crime is crime! I don't care whether EFCC starts at the top or bottom arresting them, just arrest them, lock them up for a long time.

All i care is: Are they actually yahoo yahoo boys or mistaken identity? If they are then please EFCC lock them up!.

If some of you here are bitter about the latest development then go hang yourself and stop moaning about your thieving friends and relatives that are paraded in public.

I read from some 'mumus' here saying....is it better for them to carry gun..bla bla bla, yes let them carry gun, just one day their lifeless bodies will be displayed for public view.

Ibori started just like those bunch of alleged yahoo yahoos, he started shoplifting in London, credit card scam before moving back to Nigeria to become even bigger thieve.

dexla: After all the rants on here, the only question I got is......how does Osaze's decision affect ur income? U know we Nigerians are blawdy hypocrites, looking for opportunities to castigate others forgetting he's 1 of us. Imagine if Osaze was an American playing 4 a Nigerian club, U really think any wrong/right decision he makes will b wrong to them.
You are not making any sense. Who cares if he is a Nigerian or not? Have you not seen players from other countries been castigated here?

thegoodjoehunt:

I don't get your point. Are you saying Balotelli is a better player than Osaze? Or are you saying that the press is not making a bg deal out of nothing?

Please O Ye who knows it all about football, can you make your point clear?
Please don't blame the press here, they are doing their job, when Peter was racially abused by Russian club fans it was the same press that made 'a big deal' out of it, they supported him. Now he is making a plonker of himself its only fair that press report it.
you a very stupid for calling him a slowpoke. go get a life. hopeless bulldog.
You and Odemwinige are disgrace to human beings, both of you need brain transplant because the one you have now is useless.

His fate is in West Brom's hand now, they either fine him more wages, benched or sack him.

No matter how good you are as a footballer character matters a lot, Mario Balotelli was let go about city because of character issues.

Man U let a lot of good players leave when they started acting like prats. I hope WBA make him look like a proper fool he is.

letsgohome: Yeah, i understand. it's difficult to find an airline that will make a reservation, without taking a payment. I finally found an agency in the UK. they've sent me a reservation. I'm going for my appointment, next week. Thanks for your help!
You do not need to buy a flight ticket, you buy that after your visa is out.

gregoma: I have a question for justwise, i have been traveling to the uk since 2004 while i was in uni visiting during my holidays. I last travelled in 2006 and my visa expired in 2007. I always leave with my uncle whenever i visit since he usually sends invitation for me to obtain my visa. Prior to my coming back to naija in 2007 i had a fight with him and he threatened to contact the BHC neva to allow me into the UK. How far he went with the threat i dont knw but since we have not been communicating since. Now i want to visit in the summer of this year as a tourist booking hotel accommodation which will not attract invitation from anybody. My question is on the visa application form there is a question requesting the details of any relatives in the Uk. If i give accurate infor dat my uncle can spoil my chances of visiting and also if i have been visiting on my uncles request wont it raise suspicion i decided to lodge in a hotel or source other accommodation option?

You will be refused if you lie about not having anybody in the UK because its on their record that you do.

There is nothing wrong with booking a hotel, you don't have to stay with relatives every time and not a requirement that one must have somebody in the UK in order to qualify for visa.

I will advise you to stay in your country, almost all European countries have huge economic problem. If you are from Nigeria, i will advise you start farming cos its more profitable than ASYLUM in Europe.

mamathrice: So what do I say then?
I think there is no point asking you now why did you lie at the first place because its done already.

Since you paid for the delivery and have your receipts, come out clean and tell the truth,.... that your intention was not to cheat the system hence the reason why you paid for the delivery before leaving the state.

Though its also true that people can be pregnant without knowing it, so its up to you the line of story you want to keep.

letsgohome: I got a confirmation of my completed application, with the visa office location, via email. It was stated as part of the supporting documents. Sometimes, I just feel they contradict themselves with some statements. I attached the part that states it!
It stated there that you should not purchase flight ticket until the visa is out. They are just giving you FAQ.

letsgohome: Hello, Justwise!
I applied for my visa, today, and I've paid the application fee. but the mail that was sent to me states that i need to have my flight reservation showing my intended dates into and out of the UK, yet they advised not to purchase my ticket before visa is issued. It's difficult to find an airline operator that wld refund full fares, after making a reservation. Is it absolutely necessary to buy my return tickets, and submit along with other supporting documents?

Thanks
Who sent the email?

letsgohome: Hi Guys. I have a question.
I left the Uk in November, after finishing my master's there, in July. I didn't return to Nigeria, instead i came straight to the US on a tourist visa. i'm planning to visit the UK for a short while. what are my chances of gettin a visiting visa from here? Also, is there a specific period of time that a specific amount of money (large sum or not) should be in my account, before i print out a statement and apply?
I appreciate your responses.

Thank you
You just have to apply and wait for the out come, nobody can tell you for a certain that you will be given a visa.

jejelady: Sorry, I wish I could help like I have been doing for some others here but it is a pity your moderator, Mr justwise 'instructed' me either to place my full contact address on this post for their UK runs purpose or don't assist at all. As for me, I don't think it is safe to have my private info all on this site. To everyone who needs help out there, those that have reached out to ppl like ojdollars n me, ppl in d USA are so busy no one has d time for stuff like this, but for some ppl to have made way out of their tight schedule to help those in need and are being condemned by others, I don't know wat to say to dat o.
justwise: @jejelady

I appreciate your willingness to help people here, its really great, that said, we encourage people not to drop their contact details here for offline info. Giving the info open here will benefit more than one person.

You could give them info about the job detail, how to apply and stuff.......

Hope you get where i'm coming from.

Thanks.
Where in my post did i encourage you to drop your contact details here? Did you deliberately twisted the point or what?

My UK run purpose? Joke of the century.

joxiri: I intend travelling to the us to purchase a few cars nxt mnth but with the spate of arrests by efcc officials at murtala, I am worried I obviously intend to declare the cash which is about 35 to 40k dollars.
- am buying these cars for people self its just a holiday but making use of my time there
I have heard of people being arrested even despite declaring their funds,
What do I do to avoid a smilar fate, I cnt seem to find travellers cheques to buy prepaid cards only allow 5k dollars, wiring the funds wud be long and expensive using a nigerian mastercard or dom wud require me abt 40 days to withdraw 40k as there's a 1k maximum daily withdrawal and then I would still incur charges
So carrying cash seems the best option but how do I avoid trouble with efcc
Carrying anything thing more than 10,000 (pounds, dollars or Euros) could be regarded as money laundering, if you declared it you will still pay tax on it and get questioned. Transfer a large sum of it to a bank in US then carry the remaining one. Don't risk it, it will raise a lot of eyebrows carrying such amount of money while there are banks.
