Candybob: I had the anti-virus on my system but had to uninstall it because it was full of crap! Always doing unnecessary updates and installing rubbish on my laptop! Since then it's been good riddance to bad rubbish! I think some-body should sue them for bashing our country, where are the lawyers on Nairaland? You poor rat, can you afford to buy Norton ant-virus? What you had was free trial installed on your 512 RAM laptop. How do you expect it to perform. |
@justwise.... Please what exactly is your point? Thou, Nigeria heaped this insult on herself , Norton was pretty stupid with that statement. Every country has its own problems why pick on one country's problem?
My point is that people should bottle it and stop moaning, Norton's statement is the bitter truth. |
To your grand stupidity, you call such shrewdness "cleverly" product marketing. Yet if this same approach was employed by a Nigeria based or Nigerian owned company, you would scream high heaven and display your holier than thou attitude claiming how this will never be done by a Western company. FYI, I am not a wannabe whitey like you're and I call a Spade its first name! I dare to ask you, in all your student life here in the UK, how many times have you order goods online from China? Is cyber crime by Chinese not 10X that of Nigerians? Can Norton dare to do same to China? Like I said, the stupidity of folks like you who come on-line and claim holier than thou, because your self-worth is tied to bashing and condemning Nigeria at every turn of the corner and glorifying anything done by Western companies or government of nation states from the West.
The problem with little minded m0r0ns like you is that you are living in denial, sadly as you are busy making a muppet of yourself things are getting even worst. Do you actually know what it means to call a spade a spade? You don't even have the gut to stand for anything reasonable apart looking for all sorts pathetic excuses to defend bunch of criminals who have destroyed Nigeria image. Why are you living in the west? Bloody hypocrite. |
The stupidity of some Nigerians who have no inkling of what Business ethics means is so surprising! Those of us that have access to global data on cyber crime knows Nigeria is no where near the top of the nations who engage in industrial and Domestic cyber crimes! Most Nigerians on NL e.g Justwise continue to display holier than thou whenever Nigeria and Nigerians unfairly stereotyped by big corporations or governments of nation state. We know cyber criminals in Ukraine, Georgia, Bosnia, Russia commit more cyber crimes, will Norton have the guts to brand these nations as they are doing to Nigeria? Whilst no body is glorifying any Nigerian or groups of Nigerians who engage in cyber crimes, I think a responsible business outfit ought to know where to draw the line when trying to market their products or services. Someone even made a nonsensical comments about a music video on youtube. If I may respond mildly to that shallowness of a reasoning, did Americans cry high heavens when tupac, Notorious BIG, etc sang songs glorifying guns, killings etc? I am sure that poster also sang those songs
You can't just stop talking nonsense, its in your DNA, giving excuses after excuses, Norton cleverly used Nigeria to market their product because Nigeria created the market for it.I'm not surprised at your rant at all because you are a well known sympathiser |
abba22s: Thanks justwise well appreciated....but base on assumptions do u think this season is a busy one?Its not as busy as summer admission season. |
texazzpete: Sorry, he's in the minority. OF all the songs in Nigeria, why did 'I go chop your dollar', 'Yahoozee' and 'Maga don pay' rise to the top of all the charts? 1000 likes You are a legend. |
mithel: now you have crossed the line, nigeria is a country with 150 million people, and am sure the scammers and scam supporters alike are not up to 10 percent of that, and mind you 10 % is 15 million people.....so saying he is in the minority is bullsh*t Nigerians are not scammers,we are just unfortunate that our population is so much that, even when 5% of us are doing something bad,it looks like the whole nation is involved.......abi who go say 15 million aint plenty. You are contradicting yourself |
wonlasewonimi: Goodluck mate!Thanks. |
abba22s: Hello guys..I've applied for my visa but am a bit concern..I used both my Waec statement of result from my school and the online printed version together wit a scratch Card..but I just discovered that the Exam number in my statement of result is not complete but the one in d online version is correct..please is there any cause for alarm?Just keep your fingers crossed because there is nothing you can do about it now, hopeful the ECO will not notice it. |
abba22s: I've been refused a Visa to US before will it affect the number of Days required to process my UK visa which is 15 working days. Is it going to take more Days?I don't think it will affect it, 15 working days is just the minimum number of days it takes to process your visa, it could take even more than 20 working days depending on how busy the period is. |
. I criticised it and I know others who did too.
You are in the minority |
Arosa: Little drops they say ... IF you join me maybe they will.I will even install one now |
Arosa: I just removed the Norton on my computer.Awwwww!! really? Do you think they will notice? |
peteafrik88: Got my text from VFS yesterday that my application is processed and ready for collection in Lagos where I applied from. I will be going on friday to collect it. You can do that but print out the deposit receipt or any proof that will show that you have transfer the money into your master card and take it along with you, take about £1000-2000 cash for immediate needs when you get to the UK |
aeda: Hey guys i got my visa yesterday ...it was issued since friday... but i had to declare my collection slip missing as i travelled to abuja to get the visa without it.. i had to undergo gettin police extracts and an affidavit ...but after everything i got my package opened it,and saw my visa smilin @ me lol am so over the moon right now !!give all glory and thanks to noone but God...!Thank u justwise for all your help ..u rily are "just wise"...and also tnx to every1...u guys rock !!!!Congratulation aeda , really happy for you. |
yhuki: Thank you, just wise. u are such a blessing to many. i intend applying by September but my NECO certificate has 1 letter misspelt.. intend of "Osayuki" they wrote "osayuku"...the other names are correct "Idehen Newton" will i have issues. please replyIf all other documents are ok then you got nothing to worry about, just remember to use the blank space in the application form to remind the ECO about the mistake, don't let him or her see it first. |
texazzpete: Why are you sanctimonious dolts so offended by this?God bless you!!!! some of the 2faced hypocrites moaning about this probably bought those songs |
musKeeto: I doubt there's even a Nigerian market. Users who purchase pcs that come with a free trial version of Norton, hurriedly uninstall it and get pirated copies of alternatives at Computer Village.. Why d 4k should Norton care about their image in Nigeria?Spot on!! |
Well...i guess a lot of their customers will agree with them and Norton can get away with it. By the way...if this thread was about how Nigeria yahoo yahoo/419ners scammed Norton you will be reading something like...9ja no dey carry last.....boys no dey smile oooo.....na dey money wey white man stole from Africa....bla blab bla... |
@op, Don't take my word for it, ask this question here and get the opinion of students who is either in US or applying to study here https://www.nairaland.com/994108/general-u.s.a-student-visa-enquiries-part3 |
Bayo Adex: Good morning Nairalanders and thanks all for ur wonderful time here. Pls I will need u guys/ladies to assist me here. I currently have a visiting visa to d US (B1/B2 category) and someone told me it is possible to change the status of the visa to student in d USA. Meanwhile the person does not ve a clue how she can help bt told me she has heard it done b4 in d US. Pls I will like people that ve either done this before or that ve heard or can be of help to comment on this. I will greatly appreciate all suggestions. Thanks and God bless everyone. God bless nairalandIf its possible then nobody will be applying for student visa from Nigeria, one will just travel to US with visiting visa then convert to student visa. Even if the most powerful professor in the world writes the embassy you will still be asked to return to your home country to apply for student visa then re-enter. |
can u proof the english invented football?
Now you are shifting to invention? When Kanu won the best African footballer of the year where was him playing? Yaya Toure, Drogba and many more made their names playing in the same premier league |
Oga Justwise, na GREECE invent the 'game' of football o. And have you seen their terrible outings in tournaments? So you see, that line of argument doesn't really count.
Greece invented what? |
go and watch usa 94
Oh really? Was Daniel Amokachi not part of the team that won the cup then? Daniel Amokachi was playing for Everton at that time. Everton is an English Premier league team. Right? |
Afam4eva: So, because they invented football, we should keep playing like them? Football has evolved over the the years. Can you tell me Nigerian original style of play? |
Logicboy03: lolololI can't believe that some people have the gut to blame premier league, who invented football to start with? Nigeria always get the wrong end of every good thing, Christianity is un-African but we used it to defraud people but we don't blame the white man for bringing Christianity to Africa, use Internet for all dubious activities but we never blame the white man for inventing Internet. Premier league destroyed 'our' football indeed. |
Logicboy03: I dont agree with everything the op said but the op has a valid general pointHow many premier league players are in Nigerian team that played yesterday? |
claremont: That link doesn't support the OP's claim, the link leads to BBC News Live instead of BBC IPlayer. This is the actual link http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01q9vds/Panorama_Immigration_Undercover/ Its a panorama undercover program about immigration |
Emadax: My uncle is sponsoring my uk trip. I have over 600k in my account but the problem is that am not an employee, hope that won't hinder my visa application?https://www.nairaland.com/823855/general-uk-visa-enquiries-part |
Uziehot: i did applied wit de site,it carries 2013 as d date on it. GOOGLE IT ANd Scrol until u c d year 2013 on itThe year it carries means nothing, its still fraudulent website. Its fake. |
