omenka: The crusader ihas been making altruistic efforts to stem the tide of corruption that has engulfed evry facet of our society, beginin from the top, yet armchair critics like u wld always view issues from a political periscope. If eventually he is haunded to a point he has to leave the country and continue his advocacy for good governance and accountability from a country that upholds human rights, same pple like u wld be the first to raise critical tongues and fingers in his condemnation with such remarks as 'that useless old man is abroad saying rubish! What has he done for his immidiate community?'
Well when that time comes, hopefully it never will, make sure you refer to this thread and others that bear records of his selfless efforts.
It truely pains me to read comments such as yours.
Pele, let's see where your crusade takes us to.

Make I no lie, it peeves me off when I see your post with no spacing after a full-stop, comma, bracket etc.
Who is talking, I hope is not that boy from that town called Sagamu.

If he has a problem with my post, then it's not a must he reads my post, he can as well fvck off.

ogugua88: It's not complicated lol. Those who feel worthy and know they are qualified should step forward. Your rules say only one nomination per user. He or she can nominate his or herself. Check their slate. If it's clean, then they get the green light to be voted for by fellow members. Simples.
Lmao, that will mean every single person with a clean slate will norminate themselve by default.

PoliticsRe: Falana Threatens To Sue FG Over NNPC Appointments by k2039: 10:13am On Dec 03, 2012
Gbawe: Man mi, sometimes, it makes one want to cry for Nigeria. Falana reveals the total arbitrariness and disregard for the law with which the Country is being run and some are distractingly only able to contribute silly comments while ignoring the very grave subject matter.

Ordinarily, Nigerians, if politically sophisticated, should be enraged by this adhoc and disdainful disregard for legal provisions. If the NNPC act stipulates that the number of board members for the parastatal should be 7 why has it now gone up to 9 with the appointment of Orasanye and Otti?

Are we just a daft people or is the wider implication not obvious? I.e the thought that this same lawlessness is routine in every aspect and area of the administration of Nigeria under this government?
At the end of the case we will know who are really daft, those who believe something will come out of this or those who believe otherwise.

Frankly if he takes the federal goverment to a court outside the shores of Nigeria he may win,but sueing federal goverment in a Nigeria court on this particular matter and believing he will win is just being plain stupi.d and those also believing he will win are just extremely stupi.d as well
PoliticsRe: Falana Threatens To Sue FG Over NNPC Appointments by k2039: 10:08am On Dec 03, 2012
Gbawe: You should be careful making insinuations that belittles the genuine efforts of the patriotic and dedicated few who see things differently to the majority of prominent Nigerians who are indifferent generally or have even contributed negatively to give rise to what Nigeria is today. I think the likes of Falana , and Gani before him, are driven by the mantra "evil thrives when good men do nothing".

Falana, correctly, is quoting the provisions of the NNPC act and you are here talking for the sake of it. Where will the political sophistication and development of Nigerians emanate from if the likes of Falana just look on, like everyone else, to let politicians act with total impunity and as lawless as they want? If you fully understand the deep shite Nigeria is in, vis-a-vis Government arbitrariness and lawlessness plus institutional impotence, you will appreciate that we should be praying for far more Falanas to carry out checks-and-balance duty officially empowered authorities/institutions have derelicted.
I wish you are right, but lets be objective and realistic here,do you think the presidency in itself doesnt know about the constitution as it relates to NNPC.

Only a foo.l will believe something will come out of this, our judiciary has failed us and their are no salvages left except a revolution takes place.

FamilyRe: Pregnancy: A Prerequisite To Marriage? by k2039: 9:37am On Dec 03, 2012
greatgod2012: Madam CC, u are right, so many things are wrong here, especially with religious fanatics, personally, i dont like hypocrisy, i have a friend, very close friend, she got pregnant after d introduction, she already have church wedding date ahead, so because of d fear dt d church will not join them, she decided to abort d preggy, d husband pleaded not to abort, he even reported her to me in particular about d incidence, i went to her place and pleaded that she should not abort d preggy, that she can go to d registry and have her wedding done there, she refused totally and got d prenancy aborted without d approval of d husband, with d excuse dt she cant miss d church wedding and that the congregation will make jest of her, to cut d long story short, she aborted d preggy, and went ahead with d church wedding, very big wedding, but, till now, since 2001, she is yet to get pregnant again, now she is regretting her action of 11 yrs ago now. Is dt not hypocrisy?
If one can abstain till after wedding, fine, if one cannot, and get pregnant, instead of pretending and making pple believe that u are a saint, have your baby and go for registry/court wedding........simple.
Too bad, being the traditional doctor that I'm,I threw my Opele on the ground and consulted the oracle and I was told that womb is damaged.

On a more serious note,I hope her womb is still intact.

Smh,she is extremely stupi.d,the fact that she got pregnant after the traditional wedding shows that she committed no sin,as far as God was concerned she was married(traditional marriage is the most recognised by God,the parents have given their children's hand in marriage).

FamilyRe: Are Women The Cause Of Change In Men's Attitude After wedding? by k2039: 9:16am On Dec 03, 2012
Complete and utter bullshi.t.

If a man changes his attitude it just goes to show that he is irresponsible and that his life is dependent on the woman.
RomanceRe: What Is The Right Thing To Do??? by k2039: 9:02am On Dec 03, 2012
Lets do some arithmetic.

Go ahead and marry him(your family will be against you,his family is already against you,you stand the chance of sharing your husband with another lady since I doubt he will disobey his own family),if my assumption is correct you have all to lose if you go ahead with him.

Marriage is far more than those butterflies you feel that you call love, love is smart enough to let go when it looks like things wont work out.

Marriage is all about happiness and I can tell you with all certainity and total assurance(100% certainity, which means this is what will happen)that you will never be happy and you will eventualy settle for a divorce(infact you will request for a divorce, mark my word).

Divorce is predictable,so it's pointless going into a marriage that wont work.

Dont allow anyone decieve you that you are getting married to you husband and not his family(you should understand his family wields a lot of power on him)

In closing, stupidity is seeing the obvious(that this marriage will fail) but choosing to believe the lies(that we both love each other and it will work out)

She that has ears let her hear what K2039 is saying.

I told you

Sagamite: I am going to be a bit blunt here because of the exceptional circumstances (she pushed to be interviewed).

If she knew she was going to give such a light, evasively empty and boring interview, why was she in a rush to give one and asking to be interviewed?

Her interview really is detrimental to the thread.
Haba, she is only 18 years(you should understand better, she is still a small kid,who is just eligible to vote)

Abagworo: I disagree with you. If the constitution says 7 and you appoint 9, that encourages lawlessness. That means it could as well be doubled to 14.
Actualy,you disagree that what?
PoliticsRe: Falana Threatens To Sue FG Over NNPC Appointments by k2039:
Obviously, that's one case he knows he wont win.

Though I dont have a problem with his suit, just that I'm beginning to suspect this man has political ambitions, just trying to be popular.

Only a foo.l will quote my quote and before he does,he/she should know I dont have a problem with his suit but my big problem is with the judiciary in itself, our judiciary is corrupt and their are no salvages left,if he sues the FG in a court out side of Nigeria maybe he can win but not in a Nigerian court(not like the federal goverment doesnt know about the constitution governing NNPC),but expecting that Falana will win this case is just being plain stupi.d.

As it stands only a revolution will save this country not law suits
