My opinion: Marriage involves team work. No one is the head over the other. And if there gotta be a head, both parties have to come to an agreement on who is more fit to lead the home. It shouldn't be based on gender.

I can assure you that if all women take the OP's thread into consideration, we will have more broken homes than the present.

Before the emergence of oil in 1956, Nigeria made it money from the agricultural sector, export of Rubber, cocoa and the likes. But the discovery of oil has done more harm than good for our nation.

Mono economy is bad for our nation, worst still there is concentration of corruption in that sector, so it's not like the wealth is evenly distributed, just some bunch of goats looting it.

But I know one can have a good marriage without inviting God. There are just certain laws of nature that one needs to abide with. For example if both spouses understand each other and communicate effectively, they should definitely be able to live with each other and have a good marriage.

Even if God does the match making and both parties don't follow the rules and laws, that marriage is heading for the rock. God will just give you the best possible outcome, it's left to both parties to work out their marriage, make sacrifices, communicate effectively, take responsibility e.t.c.

If they want to live long, that's just the best thing to do.

Any child that disgraces my surname is gone for good in my own books.

As a matter of fact I agree with the point where she said they would publicise it in the paper that he is no longer their son, that way they aren't claiming any responsibility for his actions.

About the consequences, the boy chose is path. For the parents since they have other kids, they can just focus on those ones.
