Boko Haram controls no part of Nigeria you clown, what is obvious, and has been widely reported is The KDF's determination to clean up the incompetence of the SANDF in the Eastern DRC. |

Mzal3ndo: The FIB had a mandate and at the begining of their campaign was very succefull but the problem with the FIB is that it is still under MONUSCO and the UN calls the shots when it comes to the FIB. The UN ordered the FIB to move from an offensive to a more traditional peacekeeping role leaving most of the fighting to the Congolese military. The FIB was formed in 2013, are you saying that it's the fault of the UN that the FIB achieved no tangible results in 9 years? |

The Nigerian Navy made an excellent choice with the AR-500B shipborne Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.
The UAV’s primary missions include maritime wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) and ship identification/acquisition.
Wide Area Motion Imagery (WAMI) is an airborne Optical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (OISR) data gathering system that combines multiple advanced sensors, cameras, and processors into one integrated unit

The Nigerian military is receiving significant investment in all areas. Criminals, terrorists and enemies of the state are finding the country to be too hot to commit acts of terror against institutions of the state.
The Federal Government a couple of months back announced the procurement of the single largest purchase of armoured vehicles for the army.
We are yet to see the vehicles arrive, we are also yet to see the M346-FA aircrafts arrive, and terrorists are already fleeing Nigeria.
I just can't wait to see what happens when the full complement of hardware we are expecting arrives Nigeria.

ocelot2006: Speaking of Nigeria Army Aviation, I think they should include attack helos like Mi-35s. We cannot buy military hardware from Russia at this time, there are no guarantees that the Russians can support a purchase of military equipment. The US will heavily sanction Nigeria if we try to go down that route anyway. That's the reality. |
