Lol funny I'm in Stretham too, but since I've been coming never tried Peckham, too many stories, but yeah Brixton market is great. I'm there everyday as it's nearest Underground.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries by kadman(m): 12:38pm On Sep 12, 2009
@ Eric,

Lol,yeah I know everything is in mighty Pecks, but would be a lot more expensive, that's what I would do when I run out of stock grin
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries by kadman(m): 11:20am On Sep 12, 2009
@ nezerst

Take erico2k2 advice into consideration, but if that's not a problem you can come back here for advice on how to sort that out. Yes buy noddles from Nigeria o. The ones here are indeed cheaper but taste like cardboard in stew (maybe I haven't found a good brand),and yes buy jeans from there. The ones here are either cheap and ugly/shapeless or expensive designer ones.
And be ready to be asked various crazy questions by Immigration when you land UK

@voilent
Great advice lol,all I packed too was about 10 jeans, indomine noodles and soap - they don't sell my soap brand in UK cuz of hydroquinone grin
What about your visa ?
TravelRe: What Is It Like At Murtala Mohammed Airport These Days? by kadman(m): 11:12am On Sep 12, 2009
@ chris_j

Did that happen years ago ? Not trying to form patriotism, but the customs at MM are a lot lot better,no more guns on the display, they sometimes ask "what have you brought for us",which you can ignore with a stony face. The biggest challenge is probably just the time on queue. Last time we were on it for up to an hour while other nationals went through in 5 mins.

Abeg I revoke my last post jare,I'm trying to form everyone should have an opinion, but the truth is Arik is the best Nigerian airline I've flow, make we dey talk truth. .
TravelRe: Bellview: The Worst Airline In Nigeria. Don't Try It! by kadman(m): 8:40pm On Sep 09, 2009
@ Igbogolo. . I've used Arik several times(for local flights) so I can agree to the fact that they are one of if not the best in Nigeria, but each person differs in what service they expect, all of us are crying foul at Bellview for ineffective services, but am sure there were one or tow people who were satisfied with their terrible service. What I'm trying to say is we all differ in our taste and expectations. While we enjoyed Arik, some might not,and while Bellview have proved to be useless a few odd heads out there were probably satisfied.

you do not know what you are talking about.
and i also doubt if you have flown arik to the UK.
could you explain the problem with the arik service here? what lesser evil are you talking abouthuh
Arik offering to the UK in my opinion is the best for now.
if your life is too precious to toy with, kindly fly foreign airlines and leave our arik for us
Inula??

@ FBS thank you so much for driving all the points home, these people act like it's not English I'm writing.
Of course as a student it's not easy (it's still a lot better than being a student in Nigeria anyway),but an Msc is just a year, and after the degree it's worth it. One poster said how can he leave his job - hmm so he should stay at the same job for years on without trying to futher his education and advance his carrear ? I laugh because workers with foreign degree would come into that same company and would be promoted over him. It's not easy but as long one is focused. No one is telling him to move there to hustle e.t.c,but to futher his education. Simple.

MrCrackles:
WTF shocked shocked shocked shocked
There is nowhere called Wolverhapton in the UK
It is Wolverhampton
@ MrCrackles. . God bless you

Olu Mike, even if you can't speak / write correct English, you also can't spell the name of the Uni you claim you went to ? You do well o

@ remoranger and people who made shots at me,you guys are the reason everything / everyone in Nigeria is half baked.

Poster,as I said before no job comes instantly anywhere in the world, economic downturn or not, going for Masters is just self development, and an extra measure to build your future.

Hello Tobobo,
1. The journey from Warri to Abuja is just 6 hours max
2. The road is not too bad

For the description, this is what I usually do when driving to a new location.
Go to Delta line or Eagle line in Warri, tip the driver and follow behind,

In 6 hours, you will be live in Abuja. (dem dey stop to rest/refill their stomach for Lokoja sha!
Great and useful idea ! I never thought of this before.

Working day 19!!! still no show(Abi na because I get pikin).
Applications are usually from 3 to 10 wrking days.
They dnt ask for balance, they only asked my acc officer to verify the satement.
I don tire, lecture starts in 11 days.
A beg make them give me my passport make I follow my plan b.
All d best guys.
At least you know they contacted your bank, which means they are working on it. Everyone is resuming this month so they are swamped with application, they always say it - Apply in July before rush period if you want your visa in time. Now you gotta wait it out.

im really fed up with this visa people, up till now i hav not heard any thing about my application. i have tracked and tracked it online and its still *forwarded to britsh high commision*
its upto 10days today . house whats really going on with this guys, do they have system problem or they are just hurding our documents .

my school starts by 16th oh! ah!!!! and i have paid all my fees and accomodation. i have pounds 8120 in my account , what are my chances ,
You have £8120 in your account after paying all fees & accomdation ? Whoa, looks like you don't have any problem at all. As for your application,it's only been 10 days. It says 10 working days, which means 14 normal days. And if it takes longer it is your fault. . you made your application at rush period late August. So be patient.

The poster asked about jobs after graduation,he said nothing about working and schooling, please don't discourage anyone because it didn't happen for you. Erico2k2, your own location says UK and you're here telling someone not to travel ?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries by kadman(m): 11:20am On Sep 02, 2009
@ breaka, if you're refused a UK visa you can reapply the very next day. I'm just confused that you and most people are making applications without the most basic information  huh
Aliko, i was in wolverhapton. believe me its not easy. even if u get a work like i did, its difficult studying and working at d same time. There is no automatic job waiting for u at the end of your study, dat is if u able to finish. believe me more than 70% of Nigerians dat went to Wolverhampton never graduate and they equally found it difficult to return to naija, because noting to fall back on. Only children of the abuja politicians or State Gov and commisioners or big time biz man. survive it easily. I know my advice will not sound popular to you, but i will say it all d same,  keep your job. Go to Uk for Holidays, visits and come back. I thank God i was able to recover back to Nigeria. Now am doing fine in Naija, I only visit UK once in a while, Think twice,
You are supposed to be a masters graduate ? With English like this no wonder you didn't do well in the UK. . .

@ Alikote, a job after graduation is not automatic anywhere in the world, that's what people fail to realise. But if you do can sort out your finance properly you would be glad you did an Msc. It's not all about automatic jobs,it's about long term goals and developing yourself.

Lots of colleges with £4,000 and less. That's why he said not a big Uni,with emphasis on college.

Yeah it took 4 days. I wrote a letter and told them I would be grateful if they could attend to it quickly as I would like to visit my accomdation options,I didn't know it would be that fast,I just kept tracking it online. It might also have helped that I had a visiting visa currently.

Okay, then all is well. Yes I've applied and got mine. I applied on Monday and it got it back on Thursday afternoon. It was sucssesful and so would yours.

When you have a document with explanation, type it and staple it to the last page of the VAF 9 form,so they'll be forced to read it. That's what I always do.
