1.You have no problem,and your chances are fine. If you pay 4000 that remains 9,490 + 5400 (if outside London) = 14,890 x N250 = N3,722,500. So don't worry you have more than enough

2. Yes you can use that current account,and there is no need to keep the money for 2 days anymore.You can depost today,and apply the next day.

3. Accomdation or not,they don't care anymore. Just show them the cash lol,but still process it if you'd like because I did too.

,you're lucky you have Transcript sef,Unilag refused to give me I had to make d0 with NOTIFICATION OF RESULT.

If your visa letter does not say WAEC or NECO among documents you used to procure admission,the flat rule is you would not need to submit it,I know someone who did the same 2 weeks back,and has gotten her visa now.
But if you want to be on the safe side and lessen your worries - 3 years after you do NECO and WAEC they would have sent the original to your schools,so by now it should be there. I wrote the exams in 2002 and picked the certificates in 2006. The certificate is in your school now.

But if you cannot do the long journey to Minna,add all the documents you have and the scrath card (That's very important),and add a cover letter to explain why.

The poster above has hit the nail on the head,plus at the moment the UKBA has made it obvious that they only care about tution fees + the £5,400. . . So you should be fine

Torita,your school and you does not understand what extension of visa means,I can explain if you want,but I assure you if you go with that 4 months visa you'll have problems with it,it was a mistake.

If you're going for a post graduate,and your visa letter does not state WAEC as part of your documents,I would say drop it jeje
But if it does,there's a affidavit you can get from courts(about 1000 naira), that verify your name is Ayodeji, I'm sure it's not big deal . . it's just off the mark by one letter. wink

Check properly,if it's not 1year 4months.
They have been issuing it a la Sept 2009 - Jan 2011.
If it is indeed 4 months on your visa,it's not good o. It's an error !

nairalanders u guys r really great. collected my student visa today exactly after 10 working days. these were the documents i submitted
1 visa letter from the university
2 documents used to get the visa letter ( in my case, statement of result and waec certificate)
3 tuition fees deposit payment receipt
4 nysc discharge certificate
5 banks statement of accounts ( my tuiion balance was 4,600 pounds + 5400 for maintenance = 10,000 pounds = 2,500,000) I had
2,600,000 in my personal account

these were all i submitted. wish all intending applicants the best. remain thankful for all the advice i got from remoranger, kadman, etc

That's what I keep explaining to people,it's £5,400 for outside London,and £7,200 for inside London ! The maintance funds are NOT calculated by months,but is a fixed amount for inside & outside London.
