I applied for HCA visa from the UK recently, and did not require POF/statement of account as I have lived there for over 12 months. My wife wants to apply from Nigeria as my dependant, but I’m confused on how much she’ll need to show as POF in her statement of account.

Please I need advise on which exchange rate UK embassy use.

What you will enrol for while here is DPS.

Bro DPS is for security. HSE (health, safety and enviroment) is the certificate I have which is why I wanna do courses related to safety. But u are there and u know better. I Suppose do Nebosh igc course but due to money n preparation I intend doing it later.

Wait, you mean to pay 450aed (450k) for agent fee for a job of 1200aed (120k) salary. what are the job conditions, the charges is not bad but you wont enjoy that offer. try to know the type of job and the condition of the job. and since you are already certified buy a body in security, the best would have being for you to me on 3 moths and also enrol for DPS program for a week here, get cerified. The sky will be your starting point. Check your pocket first. Do not come to UAE unprepared. cheers

I just got details from him. The salary is actually 1000 aed, Visa is 4500aed. They produce synthetic(carpet) grass and work 10hrs. They give a day off.
My other option is since i already have a safety certificate (though not accepted in UAE), I come with 3months visa, do a first aid and fire fighting course (1 week) and search for job.

A friend that works in Dubai advised me to accept an offer(4500 aed for employment visa) as factory worker(salary 1200 aed) but my other option is 3 months visa and search for job when I get there.

But it depends on your place of work and how they value your initiative. I once used my initiative and my personal money to collect info for a presentation and my former boss nagged that who authorized me simply because I asked for refund of my expenses. Do I need an authorization before preparing a monthly presentation which is part of my job task.
Some Bosses feel pained when you use your initiative without their authorization.

It shouldn't affect anything. As a matter of fact working here as a HSE officer should give you more skills in the area of food safety and industrial hygiene. This can be added to your wealth of experience you have had in your last two places of employment you mentioned.

Where else does one get the skills for HACCP? Where does one get the experience for Industrial Hygiene Based Risk Assessment ? Please get as much skill and experience as you can with Kitchen and Food Safety. Kitchen fire classes and types and kitchen fire fighting. Receipt and Management of food stock. Kitchen risks and hazards. Etc. Etc. The risk assessment principles are all the same. Whether from a probabilistic or deterministic approach.

There is no skill, knowledge and/or experience that is lost. It will make your CV rich. In future as a HSE Manager, no one in the Canteen or your comany's restaurant can tell you stories about Safety Management in that area. You have been there done that. You need to see how a company like Total places emphasis on industrial hygiene and food safety.

Please expand you knowledge here and enjoy the experience while it lasts.
