@Tunjitsu thank you very much for your contribution on this topic that's exactly my point. We all buy the N3 because of the attractive price so if TECNO now decided to start producing phone for as high as 30k then I'd rather go for a mid range phone from companies like Nokia, Samsung, Sony or LG in that price range. |
cyrexx: Time will tell.Yeah you're right but considering the cheap price of lumia 520 for just 28k it may be possible. |
Tecno N7 killer!!! |
MasterPDON: Adreno 305??check gsmarena.com for more details I'm waiting for this one come March this year that's a few weeks away. At 28k this lumia 520 may outsell tecno N7. |
Another real competitor to N7 Lumia 520 was annaunced today by Nokia the phone is as cheap as the N7 with similar specs and price just 184$ about 28k in naira. tecno should increase the RAM of N7 or atleast review the price otherwise..... the specs at a glance. 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 3G Network HSDPA 900 / 2100 - RM-914 HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - RM-915 SIM Micro-SIM Announced 2013, February Status Coming soon. 2013, March DISPLAY Type IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors Size 480 x 800 pixels, 4.0 inches (~233 ppi pixel density) Multitouch Yes Protection Scratch-resistant glass MEMORY Card slot microSD, up to 64 GB Internal 8 GB, 512 MB RAM DATA GPRS Class B EDGE Class B Speed HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual band Bluetooth Yes, v3.0 with A2DP USB Yes, microUSB v2.0 CAMERA Primary 5 MP, Secondary No FEATURES OS Microsoft Windows Phone 8 Chipset Qualcomm MSM8227 CPU Dual-core 1 GHz GPU Adreno 305.

91mb now and counting...... |
My guy, ure on point! These top brand fone manufacturers r making SUCKERS OUT OF THEIR BUYERS! It costs $100 to make an iphone 4 and its sold @ $700+!!!! Madness! Tecno makers mustve seen this calamity when they started working at LG. (fact) they resigned and started their charity work on making phones for the not so filthy rich nigerian youths. The N7 is unparraleld! i handled it @ slot and mahn was it fluid! Search fordual core fone prices and knw wassup! Dual core devices are certified monsters! LG L5 na toy compared to N7. The xperias and whatnot are facking overpriced!
interesting, tecno n7 is selling at 200$ that's 30k so if I phone 4 with all its expensive aluminium hardware cost apple 100$ to produce how much do you think it will cost tecno to produce N7 with its cheap plastic hardware? Maybe 20$ or 30$. Anyway kudos to tecno for making it easier for us to own a smartphone. |
Just been credited with 10mb. |
MasterPDON: Yeah, we can't compare those phones with the n7...so also, we can't compare the prices too. WTF........do you know how much lumia 620 is?? And hey, optimus l5 is nowhere close to n7!lumia 620 cost 250$ that's roughly 38k in Nigeria though our retailers may ask 40k to 50k and tell me why do you think N7 is better than optimus l5 apart from the dual core processor. |
still waiting for my 5mb but am still dialing the code meanwhile nothing was deducted from my account. |
luluosas: If I praised Glo here now, even as I am using Airtel to browse, some people will be calling me Glo AGENT. But, what has my position of saying what I am experiencing got to do with being a Glo Agent? However, I must speak no matter what you will say.same here in Jos. |
Guys don't get me wrong am not anti - tecno in fact am using N3 now, and I know N7 is a fantastic phone but my point here is the price is a bit expensive compared to that of more qualitative brands like the Xperia U and you know very well that a Sony phone is no match to a tecno phone. So I think tecno should stick to their strategies of producing affordable phones to Nigerians. a 4.0 inches screen with 1GB ram for around 15k to 20k wouldn't be a idea. |
Blah blah there is Xperia U that will beat N7 at that price except for the screen size. Masco2006: Hello guys do u know that u use tecno n3 to watch mtn mobile tv i.e dstvexplain better. |
sam4xadams: i'v read all this post but what i can confirm is that bigtt is sayin the truth but the bis glo for now only work on techno phones. Yes it work on techno phone coz the glo technology can't picture techno phone imei properly to Ban the 3g data. So only one device work for now: techno android phone.wrong, it is not connecting on my Tecno N3 but when I change to gloflat the signal will appear immediately and start browsing. |
bigtt76: Been following with rapt attention. I must commend Lulosas but at the same time admonish him and other for making the 'cheat' stuff sometin like its a right to have. No that is wrong. I just saw the tweet ...telling the Glo guys you actually use it for Galaxy Phone ...like seriously? Are you trying to expose what they already know and get them sacked? You think they don't have boy and girl friends they share such with to woo them? In as much as its working on other phones doesn't make it your right. Abroad its called tethering and most providers charge you extra for such service or they block it out rightly. Come to think of it ....if Glo can prevent you putting more than one email account on some package, do you think it would be difficult for them to block BIS use on none BB fones? very simple to do and configure. All the need to do is programme their SIM card to read your phone's PIN and send to the system before you can be enabled.I have the 3G sign on my phone yet it is not browsing. |
Guys let's just move on glo has blocked us that's the fact. Thanks for this thread it really was wonderful I've subscribe to airtel |
You are entitled to your opinion dude. |
weezii: i just checked my status right now, its now active but i cant browse. I have their 3.5g network but yet cannot connect with my phone neither can i do so with my modem using the APN blackberry.net. Guess they have disabled it. My subscription is wasting right now *sadface*It is still working perfectly go to your phone Settings and enable 3G only or gsm only do not select auto cos i think that's were the problem is. when the phone is set on auto network it will keep switching between 3G and edge thus making it hard to connect to the internet. Try it maybe it will work for you that's how i solve the problem on my Android phone. |
davidoisamoje: how did u go about ur internal memory of d phone pls need to know God blessI have move all my movable apps to SD card and set it as my prefered storage, also i keep only important apps on my phone and i backup all those that i do not use often using android task manager (downloaded from playstore) then uninstall them. I never have issue of low memory on my phone. |
edrys: Can one really enjoy this Techno n3 without rooting and hw accessible are the apps, are they totally free? Pls answer needed ASAP. Thanks.Mine is not rooted yet and no plan to root it either but i'm enjoying it. i have install many apps and games on it like temple run, fruit ninja, transformers, Raging thunder etc and most importantly sybla tv with this app i can watch live football matches on my N3. |
Guy go buy N3 and subscribe to glo somonth or airtel bis plan both costs 1200 naira each and enjoy the wonders of android. |
mhozzis: pls a quick question. Since downloadin from google play automatically installs apps on internal memory. How do u download games of 1gig + from play store wen d phone has just 785mb as internal memory.you can change that in the settings atleast in some phones. like Tecno D3 whether rooted or not it will automatically installed your app on SD card but I don't know whether N7 can do that. |
lakefist: no way! phone without 3G @ dis age? mo matter how sweet it is i will never go for it.using N3 and its the fastest wen browsing and downloading...people enjoy playing games on N3 but am not a game freak all i do i surf.d choice is ursyeah you're right if you want fast internet go for N3. |
Rexyl: It is just interesting here but watching tv programs on data plan that is not unlimited, I wonder how often and how much you will recharg and subscribe for I thought that could imply heavy data consumption. Or you are able to cut corner! No not at all, I subscribe to the weekly plan which has 700mb data cap I watch nigeria's match against burkina faso with about 300mb of data. the remaining 400mb will be enough for me throughout the week for my facebook and twitter that's all. |
luluosas: Wow! That means you streamed it via foreign channel as no Nigerian station aired it.I use sybla tv for android the app is very cool it has over 120 channels which you can watch football, movies, news and lots more. |
I missed an important fearture in Uc browser for Android, that is i can't syncronise my bookmarks anymore like i used to on java version. could there be any solution to this? |
I have watch yesterday's match between nigeria and burkina faso on my phone. thanx to the glo cheap data plan. |
