One thing you guys don't really understand about non interest banking is that its very unique and pro masses. Let me ask you. Which one would you take?

A banking system that gives you a loan to operate a biz but won't charge interest on it but have a pre agreed profit sharing ratio if you make it or loss sharing between the bank and you if you make losses? A bank that recognises money as a means of exchange only and that it has no value except what you invest it in and derive from it. A bank that is after your success and knows its only when you make profit that they are also profitable.

Or a bank that gives you a loan and even if you make losses would still collect their interest accured over time and their money back?

Logically Which is cruel and which is good for developing a society?

Islamic banking is just one just one of the numerous arms of islamic finance. Islam recognises money as valueless. Which is true. Ask your greatest economists. Money has no value, it is what you invest it in that has value.

Guy, let me make some corrections to your stream of thought here. Before u start saying that science is behind the bible, before the time of Christopher Columbus, were not your church leaders among those that held tanaciously to the belief that the earth was flat? Had Columbus not "scientifically" discovered that the earth was round and had he not GIVEN PROOF that the earth was round, would ur church leaders (those who have read that bible from cover to cover) have discovered and given proof that the earth was round?

And guy, you're saying the bible is a highly summarised book. You're talking as if the bible was written summarily by one person. You seem to forget that many books were brought together to form d bible. And u're trying to say that all those books were summarised by their different authors?

Then you tell me that the bible wasn't written by man. And I begin to wonder: did God write the bible? Even ur scriptures say that "all scripture is INSPIRED" by God ...". I have checked the meaning of d word "inspire" in so many dictionaries. You righteous people interpret that word to mean "dictate" especially as encouraged by your priests and pastors. INSPIRE and DICTATE can never mean the same thing. You guys should stop interpreting inspire as dictate. Since God inspired it, like d bible said (blowing it's own trumpet, as usual) it doesn't mean God dictated it. So how can u tell me it wasn't written by man but by God. If inspire a poet to write a poem about me, does it mean that it is I who wrote the poem, instead of the poet?

As for believing blindly, I keep saying it, it is of no use. Do not let ur church leaders turn you into blind people. "Blind people leading blind people", even ur bible mentioned it somewhere. I keep saying it, if God wanted us to be blind and non-inquisitive, he wouldn't have asked us to "ask and you will receive, seek and u shall find, knock and d door will be opened". If God created us in his image like ur bible says, then he would be happier seeing us struggling to get to understand things about him better rather than just reading things and believing what u're told.

A man or woman is captured and imprisoned but under sever punishment, batman comes out from nowhere and rescue the man.

Then how can a man that has being rescued from sin and its consequences still be held down under generation curses.

@Op, I'm a story teller so let me tell you a short story.

Once upon a time, a man had a big kolanut farm. Every year, held a little contest in his village to determine who had could produce the best and freshest farm produce. The winner was given money, ceremonial titles and recognition. This man was champion for many years, but one year, he was beaten by another farmer. The following year, the same thing happened again. Three years in a row the same thing happened. The man got desperate because if after the fourth year he was still not able to become champion again, his title would be withdrawn and passed to someone else.

So he consulted a marabout who told him what he had to. He went ahead and did it, and by the following year, he became champion again. He held on to the title for several years until he became too old to farm actively.

Many years later, another man was battling with serious poverty. Every member, and I mean EVERYBODY in his family were living in abject poverty. He was from a muslim family, but when he was fed up of being fed up and tired of being tired, he branched out into Christianity and gave his life to Christ and became worker in church.

Despite his commitment to the work of God, his life still did not improve. If anything, the poverty and failure bit harder into him. He couldn't even afford to get married because he could barely feed not to talk of marrying. Eventually, he changed his church and began to attend a deliverance ministry. His system of prayer changed and he began to pray deliverance prayers.

He noticed that whenever he prayed and slept, he would dream that a one-handed albino man would stand before him, weeping and saying over and over again

"Remember the kolanut farm"

The man was puzzled. He kept on praying and the dream repeated itself over and over again. This went on for several months, then stopped. One day, a big break came. Out of the blues, someone came and promised to help him work a visa for him to travel to Germany to work. This kind samaritan threw himself earnestly into the whole process and the man was grateful to God that he would be finally able to break loose from the shackles of poverty that had held his family down for so long.

The process was almost complete when one night, he dreamt of the albino man again. He was at the airport, about to pass through the boarding gate when the albino man appeared before him and stopped him from passing. The one-handed albino fellow told him he was not going to be allowed to pass through because of the 'kolanut plantation' .

The man woke, puzzled and worried.

The following day, the samaritan called him and informed him that he no longer wanted to have anything to do with him, and that was that.

From then on, anytime the man was close to a big break, Mr Albino One-Hand would be there to remind him of the 'kolanut farm' and the break would go poof!

One night, during a breakthrough service held in church, the man fell under the power. While under the power, a tall, handsome man stood before him. The man, in the vision, asked him who he was and he replied 'The Ancient of Days'. Immediately, the albino man appeared beside the tall man. Weeping,the albino man he would not, quote, "agree". Mr Ancient of Days asked why and Mr Albino replied "because of the kolanut farm."

The man who was under the power asked him what he meant by "kolanut farm" and the albino finally explained himself.

He said that the man's great-grandfather was a champion kolanut farmer who fell on hard times. In a bid to preserve his wealth and title, he took the advice of a marabout and lured his servant boy, the albino man to the farm. In the farm, he struck the man down, cut one hand off, tied him up and left him to bleed to death. As the boy lay dying, he cursed the man and his generation to the end of times that they would be forever poor and miserable. When he died, the man's great-grandfather buried the hand in the farm and disposed off the body.

The great-grandfather was the last rich man in the lineage. The generation that came after him battled poverty and it continued, even unto the present generation in which man under the power belonged to.

Mr Ancient of Days listened patiently for Mr Albino One-Hand to finish his tale and said "I will release him from your curse." Disgruntled, the albino demanded to know why, and the Ancient of Days replied, "Because I AM. He belongs to me now and he will no longer be held responsible for the sins of his forefather."

The albino man didn't argue but nodded, turned away and disappeared.

Immediately, the man woke up and discovered that service was still going on. Shaken, he dragged himself from the dust where he lay, slumped into the nearest seat and spent the rest of the service pondering what happened.

After that revelation, his life turned around. Today, the man who is in his mid-forties is the only one who has owned a car in two generations. His siblings and male relatives are still locked in the cycle of poverty, but he is free.

naijacutee: I believe in generational curses. Not in the way they occurred in the Old Testament, because Christ came to free us from the curse of the law. This is written down in black and white. The only people who will operate under the curse of the law would be those people who do not believe that christ has freed them - just like those who didn't witness any miracles because they didn't believe in Him.

Generational curses we create for ourselves are very simple. People across the country falsify a receipt in order to claim money that doesn't belong to them from their employers (afterall, everyone is doing it). Their children see this, and believe this is the right thing to do. These children now live their lives based on these putrid principles and before you know it, a generation of corruption is born. When they get the opportunity to fix roads, they don't. When they get the opportunity to provide water, they don't. The cycle continues, and everyone laments over how things got so bad. The answer is that we created generational curses for ourselves through seemingly harmless actions.

but first off, I am not an atheist neither am I a pagan. I practice christianity to the best of my ability and motivation at the moment, but I also know deep in my heart that I can do more to be a better believer.

Having said that, I am also a huge critic of hypocrisy and make-believe christianity, which I'm sorry to say, is exactly what a lot of people practise.
To some people, this will be interpreted as me judging..but if it will make you feel better, please judge me too and come to your own conclusions after reading this;

I'm all in support for anyone saying God speaks to them because I really believe that God can speak to his saints when he wants to. However, what I find arbitrarily out of place is the process by which christians hear a message from God.

1. THE BIBLE/
The bible is definitely not like any other book, it is however a book nonetheless. What this means is, just like every inspirational, uplifting, spiritual, guidelined, principled, or lifestyle book that we read, the purpose of the bible is to speak directly and/or connect with its intended reader. This is what a book does normally!
Yes, it is the word of God through the prophets and apostles, and it remains so till eternity.
The deduction here is, regardless of whatever random page one opens in the bible, there will be something to read that pertains to what that person might be going through, that's a given!

2. VOICES/
Is there anyone here who hears a clear voice in the form of an auditory impulse from outside him/her? If you're not deaf, then your answer should be YES!
Now the next question, is there anyone here who while alone hears a resounding voice in the form of an auditory impulse from outside him/her, when there's clearly no one else around? If you're not a lunatic, your answer will probably be NO!
Here's the deduction, since this voice of God we hear comes onl from within, probably our own voices in our head or a feeling of awareness within us, it only means that what is actually registering in us is just our own conscience and/or intuition.
Now where this gets interesting is, the holy spirit actually can prick our conscience and intuition based only on what our awareness already considers wrong. In other words, if I never knew that slandering someone behind their back was a sin, my conscience/intuition won't be pricked because I never considered it wrong.

In a situation where someone gets a feeling about something bad that will happen before it happen, I can safely say that the person's intuition made possible by the holy spirit is what enables that ability. Ergo, it is still the inner self talking to your conscious self, and definitely not a voice or voices that you don't recognize doing the talking.

3. DREAMS/REVELATIONS
This my friends is in my opinion the most suitable and spiritual means by which God can make known his intentions.
Mind you, God still doesn't appear as himself neither will Mary, Jesus, Elijah, Angel Michael or Gabriel, Moses, or Lazarus appear to anyone as themselves to give a message. If you believe you have seen any of these people before, you are delusional!

Most people dream a lot, some less, and others do not. Whichever category you fall, I'm sure you have had an experience where something in your dream setting actually came to happen, but maybe not exactly as you dreamt it, right?
This is the deduction here...
If you don't have the gift of revelation, powered only by the holyspirit, you probably dream dreams caused by hunger, over-feeding, psychological, emotional, or even fear and ambition.


This takes me back to the beginning of this write-up where I mentioned how I am a huge critic of make-believe and hypocritical christianity.
Yes, people will believe what they want to believe so I'm not trying to make you feel anything by all this.
But what I also know is this, Christianity is the only religion whose followers, teachers and believers are never totally true to themselves. We are constantly trying to make others and even ourselves believe that we are 'born-again and full of the holy spirit' when the truth in fact is that we are not as holy as we think we are.

And if one does not live a HOLY life, pleasing, acceptable and WITHOUT BLEMISH to God our father, I'm sorry to say that the HOLY SPIRIT cannot possibly connect with him/her without complete repentance and major cleansing of the body and soul of such a person.
God is not mocked, he is true and he is just.

Titiluvly: The HolySpirit speaks to us through diverse means :the inward witness,inward voice(conscience),prophets,visions etc..but primarily by the INWARD WITNESS..Romans 8 :16 and the inward witness. Is your spirit/heart - 2Corithians 4:16, 1Peter 3:4,,remember one of the assignments of the HolySpirit is to be Our Guide - John 16:13 and when you are a genuine born again,automaticaly your spirit becomes born again to enable you understand the things of the Spirit..Luke 8:10

Now, as a christain you have a responsibility to train your spirit,,how?
* By Meditation on the Word-Joshua 1 :8
* By Practising the Word-James 1:22
* By giving the Word First place-Proverb 4:20-22
* By instantly obeying the voice of the spirit-Prov 20 :27, 1John 4:4

How do you know when God is speaking to you


Understand that the Spirit of God wudnt tel you to do what is wrong..The inward witness acts as a CHECK to us atimes-Phillipians 4:8 but the more you think about something and feel better about it in your spirit,that's the green light,,when God speaks to you,your spirit will be at peace-Phillipians 4:7..The inward witness is just as supernatural as guidance through vision..


Many times we ignore the inward witness,we want something spectacular and miss the supernatural..


Please Note that When Christ died,the veil covering the Holy of Holies was torn from top to bottom and God moved out..He Dwells in Us..Matthew 27 :50-51..A Christain under the new testament has access to the things of God by the Spirit..Bless You All..
