Nobleval: When you die your hair still
grows for a couple of months.
This has been proven to be false. The hair doesn't necessarily grow but because of the surrounding skin drying out and shrinking, it looks likes hair and nails have grown.

FashionRe: Beauty Of Natural Hair Thread :) by kandiikane(mod): 5:48pm On Jan 08, 2014
Yield: Didn't really have good experience with cantu shea butter hair products. I used their moisturizer two years ago and it was aiit. It took a while for it to absorb into my hair. I also found that using it alone didn't really moisturize my hair, so I had to seal with an oil. I've also used their twisting gel and it was terrible! angry angry. I was looking for something to help keep my two-strand twists more defined and less frizzy and bought it. I was highly disappointed 'cuz it left little white stuff in my hair. It would not absorb into my hair at all and I only used a little. Thankfully I had only used it on one twist and just washed out that part. I tossed it in the garbage thereafter, rubbish. angry

I don't really like castor oil on my hair; too thick. I use it for my eyebrows though. I'm going to check out that site, tnx.

Kandii, did you finally do yarn braids for Christmas, like you said? Are you going to post a pic? smiley

Hurray!!! Good luck to you!!
I couldn't do it during the christmas period because I was ill but I had bought the yarns. Just finding a weekend I am not doing anything to do it. I am also going to buy marley hair just incase I mess the yarn brains up. If I do 2 or 3 strands and it's just not working, I will just do havana twists.

TravelCan I Travel With A Gambian Passport(no Stamp) To Nigeria From The UK? by kandiikane(op): 4:34am On Jan 08, 2014
Hi guys, I am looking to travel to Nigeria for the Easter but looked into the visa process and it seems quite daunting and long with everything they are asking for.

Ok, here is the thing, I had a Gambian passport for the Uk with the necessary stamps to live there. Acquired my british passport last year but My Gambian passport with all the stamps was lost. I do have a renewed Gambian passport with no stamps to say I have indefinite leave in the uk.

I want to find out whether I can use that renewed Gambian passport to travel from the uk to Nigeria since it's visa free if you hold a Gambian passport or do I have to travel on the UK passport, get a visa and such? Will the immigration in the UK stop me from travelling on the Gambian passport even if I show them my british passport?
Christianity EtcRe: "How Large Was Noah's Ark?" by kandiikane(m): 1:31am On Jan 08, 2014
phuck_NL: A lot of people do not dispute GOD. Most just BELIEVE that the PEOPLE who wrote RELIGIOUS books LIED/Spiced up things to get people to believe them. The flood probably happened and the ark was probably built. It was probably localized to a certain region and he probably saved a handful of domesticated animals which the writers than exaggerated to include the entire world.

With regards, to carbon dating, trust me its at least 95% accurate. You only need a 50% accuracy to realize that the dates stated by those who wrote religious books is wrong. They simply wrote what they taught was right at the time without evidence to back it up. Same thing with the RAINBOW story. Most of these things were basically what they taught at the time and they then coined it into religious books. I believe in my GOD but I do not believe the lies in all religious books. I believe if I am good to myself and my fellow man I will make heaven regardless of what anyone thinks. I do not have to pray through anyone and I do not have to go to any institution or read any book to know that being GOOD is the right thing.
I seriously applaud you for this post!!

Sagamite: Come on, please!

You had what?

You have always been crass, ghetto and hoodrattee. My posts is shaping you and developing you, admit the damn thing.

Is it not the same you that would jump to insulting people's parents we are talking about? The kind of hoodrats I avoid like a plague?
*takes broom and start sweeping*

I don't know what witchery this is but I sweep it away in God's name!

Sagamite: No strawman. We talking about you. Your previous miasmic personality and your claim to have had some lady-like self-development.

Considering my hard work here and the similarity between it and your new claims, surely I must get a thank you for pushing you towards classiness and lady-likeness?
Well, this is just idiotic. Where did I claim to have had some lady-like self development? I am not claiming to 'have had' but stating what has always been there. What hard work is that? Pushing women away and re-enforcing the stereotypes about African men? Abeg, go shove your so called lessons on classiness back in your ass. You won't know what it is even if it smacks you right in the face. Go teach your sisters.*rolleyes*

Sagamite: No, you have always been crass and hoodrattee.

I thought you to be like this after my repeated barrage of how black girls like you are.

You used to even pride yourself as the champion of parent-insulting because of your hoodrat crass nature.
lol@the person liking your comments.

Stop talking out of your azz, why would I pride myself in parent-insulting? You must be high on your shyt again. Nansense.

Says, the man who insults people at every turn. So, you are telling me you're a perfect example of a respectful and polite gentleman? Abeg, joor. You as a pot can't be calling a kettle black. You are a typical example of the black man I stay away from.

I have told you several times, I am not one of your peckham and brixton mates.
