FashionRe: African Ladies Spend Over $7billion On Wigs, hair, extensions And Relaxer. by kandiikane(mod): 11:01pm On Aug 12, 2014
50calibre: You leave the substance and instead grab unto something trivial. Whether I'm able to run my fingers or not, my point is I prefer natural hair.

Men don't spend their money on fake accessories which makes them look like something they're not.
I don't relate with the substance hence why I ignored it. You prefer natural hair good for you but that is not how majority of the public(black men) react to a lady with her natural hair out. The first time i cut off my permed hair to nothingness and went out, the first comment I heard was "wtf, did she do". Point is, people rave and rant online majority of the time but they will still flock to girls with Brazilian and peruvian hair, it makes no difference to many men out there. I am all for whatever floats your boat because in the end of it all when all is said and done during courting, that natural hair won't keep your relationship or marriage or even your job neither will the weave.

I don't know which world you live in but men spend a lot on accessories. I would go as far as saying on even more expensive stuff than women. With what I have seen, even on clothes men seem to spend more. On designer clothes, shoes watches, sun glasses etc. Even cars men spend shyt loads on them. I mean, you can buy a car for a grand or maximum £5000 and it will still work but you see people buying cars for 40grand just to show off. Recently, the male grooming industry has been booming, not just the women's. Everyone has something they would spend ridiculous amounts of money on, women is hair and makeup etc and men, their cars for example, these make them feel good. It had nothing to do with emulating another race or culture. I have spent more maintaining my natural hair than on extensions and believe me the extensions are never cheap.

50calibre: Of course they don't like their hair, isn't it obvious? If you like you natural hair, I see no reason why you should wear series fake weave. Once the one they're wearing begins to look old, they go get another one.

To be honest with you, I can't stand weaves, I've had girlfriends and relatives who fix that thing, and they all know how I feel about it. You want to wear fake weaves like drag queen, fine but don't ask me about it, expect no compliments from me and don't tell me anything about it as I don't want to hear.

Nothing more off putting like trying to run your hands through a woman's hair & she says no! no!! no!!! I had this fake hair fixed today, the funniest part is they care for the hair like it's their own, they buy these nets and at night wrap it up with the net. In the morning they comb the hair and id be like wtf is this?

I want to be able to run my fingers through a woman's natural hair. You can run your fingers through an Asian, Caucasian, Middle Eastern woman's hair and you will feel right down to the scalp but that of a black woman, you feel tight knots and ropes used to affix the fake hair. So annoying
Even if a woman has her natural hair out you still won't be able to run your hair through it. If not being able to run your fingers through a lady's hair is an issue, why not just stick to the middle eastern, Caucasian Asian you mentioned. No need for bashing because many spend their money on extensions. Men have their own rubbish they spend money on just for show rather than necessity so abeg allow us.
CultureRe: Black Men Are Weak And White Men Are Powerful by kandiikane(m): 8:36pm On Aug 12, 2014
Fulaman198: I think some of what he says are true especially the part of black women don't respect black men. Which is true. That's why black women (African women completely included) go after white guys and throw black men to the curb.

However, one can not simply deny the success of Nigerian black men abroad and also locally. We are amongst the most educated in the world. So think of that black women, and stop pretending to be white women.
I didn't watch the videos but you earn respect. You don't just expect it and get it just like that. If one respects themselves and gives respect, they will be respected in return.
RomanceRe: I Love My Eastern European Wife. She Is A True Gift From God. by kandiikane(m): 8:07pm On Aug 12, 2014
childofGod09: My question was why the hate? Why is my wife and even my children getting attacked my Nigerians, other blacks on daily basis? We are in shopping centre, park, church, just walking on the street minding out business and we get verbally attacked by black women. My wife even got punched by two black women randomly on the street when she was eight months pregnant with our son who passed away. So why would I not ask why some racist black women feel it is ok to attack my eastern european wife? What gives them right to treat us bad? Are they better than us. God is not pleased with this hatred they expressing.
You are talking nonsense. Why would a sane woman punch a heavily pregnant woman in London abi the police were asleep? So the punch killed your son? You live in the most multicultural place in England. Any day you go out in london you must see people from mixed backgrounds. Out of all the cities in Europe, London is the safest place to be as an interracial couple/family. You are here to bash black women and I am certain you live in the slums of mushin and most likely never even met a lebanese babe how much more a lady all the way from Slovakia. Stop talking shit and go finish hawking your watches. Nonsense!

Tell me black feminists, where was your outrage at this atrocity?
Why aren't you calling for that savage to be fired?
I guess black feminist think that "street harrassment" is a much bigger crime than a white savage cop, beating the brakes off a black woman huh?
Still going to praise and pine for white men?
I suppose black men are to blame for this incident as well huh?

Truly black feminists and their sympathizers are a deluded and pathetic bunch!
huh

Are you high?

FamilyRe: About To Divorce Him, Please I Need Your Advise by kandiikane(m): 7:43am On Aug 06, 2014
purplesummer: Dreal1247 has almost said it all. Divorce is not a good thing, this is marriage OP and as unfortunate as it sounds, you have to stay, look after your son and continue to pray for your husband. As Dreal1247 has said, draw closer to God and take solace in Him.
It's well.
With this advice You are the type of woman that will suffer and continue to suffer in your marriage looking haggard and fat, praying whilst your husband continues to pummel young girls in your marital bed. Your husband is cheating, pray. Your husband beats you, pray. Your husband treats you like shit and doesn't love you, pray, God loves you. Probably the same bullshyt mentality that caused so many deaths by the Ebola virus. Rather than doing the necessary you are down on your knees praying. If you pray without action you will continue praying right down to your grave.

@ op, do what's best for you. Only you know what you need and want. Don't stay to suffer just for the sake of trying to salvage the little pieces.

crackhaus: I read your first comment and was about quoting it when I saw this.

Girl, you're soft-pedalling on this issue. Does his sister look like someone who deserves any more favours, talk more renting an apartment on her behalf?

@OP, your parents are not dead.. send their daughter back to them, you can keep sending money for her upkeep if that's the problem.
I agree. I thought the same thing when I saw her comment.

Idowuogbo: Wigs in summer? MY GOD! That shyte must stink grin
Lol abeg stfu! Of course you would know about smelly wigs as for me, my wigs smell of dandelions daisies and lavender plus a breath of fresh air. I take off my wig everyday and sometimes it goes days without being worn unlike that your roach infested weave in this hot sun. grin

Chillisauce: Wow, strange. When I braid, it's grows but some pull off too. Make sure you don't comb too much . You can just use your hands, dabble oil and water to your hair. Maybe wash once or twice a week.

I hope you not swimming with it without washing off after. The chemicals can be bad too
I know. Honestly, I hardly use combs. Just use my fingers to dangle even when washing it. And I use oil and water.mainly castor and coconut oil. I don't even know how to swim lol. I am going to wait a couple of more weeks if the problem persists then I will have to do something.
FashionRe: Beauty Of Natural Hair Thread :) by kandiikane(mod): 9:05pm On Jul 30, 2014
Chillisauce: My hair falls off too esp when I weave it or do other protective style.

Do you wear weaves or braids? Could also be the reason.
No when I do braids my hair actually grows. I have not had braids since April. I have been wearing wigs.

She needs to stick to long hairs. Short hair is not for her
Lool, ok I am done. But come to think of it I have come across loads of threads where majority of men prefer body to facial beauty so I don't see a problem here.

She is in five brides on irokotv, quite good show.

CultureRe: Gods Of Infidelity: Blind Gods Or What? by kandiikane(m): 4:45pm On Jul 25, 2014
Alikaxon: Men are polygamous from onset. Even in the bible; king solomon and the rest of them. Have you ever heard of a woman that was polygamous?... Pls, that is not to say am justifying men cheating. But its high time you people stop taking the issue of gender equality and discrimination too far, up to a point you now want to change the style of the said "infidelity god" that was there before ur grandma was born. Why don't you just ask God to make women start paying groom's price if men do pay brides price in the name of equality?. See, there is nothing like equality, but there should be equity. Both sexes has areas of strenght and weakness..... Op; do u still want to agitate for women to be made KING? We better just leave some things the way we met it.
Women do pay for the groom in other cultures and there are cultures where women can marry more than one man. Your point is?
