For more than 2 years I have been consistently subscribing to DSTV, from last year march till last month, I was on price lock on 9k for compact. No doubt I was actually enjoying dstv especially premier league football.

So my subscription expired last week and I checked the new price for compact, it was 15k+. Geskiya I said I can't be subscribing again. The money is too much. Thanks almost 180k per year.

So yesterday, I was at home, was now playing around with my TV apps, what I saw really amazed me.

There are plenty apps that shows children movies, another ones shows action films, though old, but they are interesting. There is an afroland TV that shows Nigerian movies. This afroland shows live France 24 news. There is Plex TV that shows live channels and still have movies too.

Then I discovered that Al Jazeera, channels TV and some other news channels shows live on YouTube. Worst of it all is that, on YouTube there are some personal channels that have full videos on movies both foreign and locals, with very recent cartoons.

Then I said let me test the cast option. Lo and behold, when man city match started, I used a stream app to watch football on my phone then I now casted it to TV. O boy, everything clear.

I watched Man city, Tottenham and Chelsea matches.

When I was leaving the house after Chelsea match, I checked my data, despite connecting it to my TV since morning, I didn't blow up to 4g.

So if I used that my 9k I was using to subscribe to DSTV compact and buy Airtel 22g for 5k, I will be on unlimited streaming till month end.

Watch at you own space.

In addition, some of these documentaries that is been shown on nat geographic gold and wild, discovery channel, investigation ID, there episodes are there on YouTube. All you need is to search for it.

In addition, there is a radio app on the smart TV that brings to you plenty radio channels both home and abroad. What I haven't confirmed is if it's live or pre recorded.

Good,but if goods and services are to come down, Production Sector / Industrial Sector should be the Focus and be at Maximum!
Let's do the analysis of the sectors that readily comes to mind:
1- Agric --low much are they Producing because we don't hear both Ministers ( Minister of State included).
This is a vast Sector that should be able to feed ALL Nigerians,if well harmonised,but none of those leaders heading the Sector is talking or are doing anything for us to lay our hands on! We only know when they spend the Annual Budgets,as usual.
2.Industries - honestly,Mrs Uzoka-has been up and down on these Industries but she is handicapped because of No -Light,as almost all industries are on Generators in Nigeria!
3.Power/ Light Sector:
•Untill we Nigerians get it into our Facility that - without Govt Fixing this All Important Sector,we can't move forward, neither can Nigeria Employe her 30% Youths - who are restless because of the Age Grades and because there is no job!
- what is the States Governors doing in providing lights?
- Where is the Power Minister-in all this? I really pity this Minister-because since independence/ Decades ago,No Improvement in this Sector- because of Corruption!
YET THIS POWER SECTOR DRIVES ALL- OTHER SECTORS OF THE ECONOMY and we are failing in Generating and Distributing Power - let us ask DISCOS - why there is no Constant Lights?
• Ghana And Republic of Benin have all Stopped -using Generators to run their businesses.How is Nigeria going to do it and move fast about it?
4.Production that is Export Driven;
- the more we Export our goods and Services,the greater the FOREX!
Even now these Products in Nigeria are few and expensive because we have had all been used to Subsidies - of the Crude Oil!

Nairaland, please what should I do?

I gave birth 9 months ago and for some reason, my mom never expressed interest in visiting me and my child. She is a new wife now and I heard from some family members that when she wanted to come, her new husband said ‘your daughter has other people around, why are you worrying yourself’.

I did not take it personally at all. My mother has never been a dependable person. Me and my mom still talk everyday and my child is always on her status. This is her ONLY grandchild.

My mom’s elder sister’s (my aunty) youngest child is moving to my area. My aunty said that she’ll visit me during the move, and come and hold baby. She reached out to my mom and even told my mom that if they plan it, they can visit me together. My mom and my aunty are VERY close. I even consider my aunty my second mom in a way.

Suddenly, my mom starts calling me, saying she wants to plan her visit. I say okay. But with work and everything, my aunty will get here before her. She started telling me not to let my aunty into my house, saying that my aunty is a husband snatcher etc. she said my aunty will destroy my home. I tell her I don’t care about that. She started calling their mutual friends and telling them to tell me that my aunty is a husband snatcher. I did not fall for that.

Frustrated, she called my aunty and said that the truth is that my husband is uncomfortable. She said that MY husband is not from our town and that my husband’s people don’t like visitors. She said that I did not tell her about this out of respect.

My aunty called me and was apologizing, saying that she did not know. I responded and said that this is a lie. I even put my husband on the phone. Here’s my mistake - I sent her a screenshot showing my mom saying that she’s a husband snatcher and that’s why I should not let her into my home.

My aunty and I now agreed that we should let peace reign and that she won’t visit. She said she will still like to see me and we can meet somewhere. MATTER SUPPOSE TO END.

My mom decided to bring my aunty husband into this. She told my auntys husband that his wife is not respecting my husband’s wishes. My auntys husband now sent her my screenshot saying that he knows the real reason and that your child doesn’t even support you.

The screenshot has shattered my mom. She feels betrayed. My siblings who live with my mother are calling me a betrayer. I want to salvage the relationship between my siblings and I, not so much my mother. I have not spoken to any of them since the screenshot.

What do I do? How do I approach this.

Peter Obi is not a sincere politician and a sincere person. By casting aspersions on the Supreme Court judgement, he reveals the same Supreme Court erred in restoring him as governor. Peter Obi took us back in our political evolution, and we hope his likes take the back seat.

Obi is not what Nigeria needs at this time.

So there is this guy whose store is close to my house, he usually comes around to fetch drinking water in my compound. We got along fine and I took him as my street junior bro ( He's married and I ain't )

Earlier this year I met this guy and we became friends. He started visiting my apartment because him and his friends just moved into my compound. But I noticed that although he looks athletic, well built and physically fit but he's very sexually active, swinging both ways.
Yesterday I got an oral quick HIV test kit and told him it was for gonorrhea test because he's not that enlightened. So he accepted to the test. When the result came out, he's HIV positive. I wasn't so sure, so I contacted a HIV health worker and he confirmed that the owner of the test is positive.
Now, should I tell him or keep it to myself because he's already telling me that condom busted the last time he was having sex with a lady, which gave him gonorrhea.
