 Mpeace: based on their posted PAT, their current eps could be less than 7 naira.
Note also that Elumelu sabi separate Eps attributable to owners of the company and eps attributable to noncontrolling members.
But its the power sector, and with geregu as competitor, eps would not have much relationship with price. |

Year 2022 was clearly stated. And from the 2022 AFS, there were no outstanding shares... Yes! The 2024 EPS will be diluted but does that water down the comparative analysis with GEREGU? NO! See the bigger picture... chillykelly86: That EPS value can't be with the current 7.5 billion units listed and the results provided. The likely explanation would be that the shares outstanding was much less than 7.5b but to create liquidity with listing in view, they did a bonus issue.
Bottomline is: recalculate your EPS with the current shares outstanding as you would be making a mistake to think that the Transpower listed today has an EPS of #218. |

Many thought people will offload TRANSCORP today but... ogoo4real: Most likely just the same way it traded today. Bcous Transpower will be so difficult to buy. Everyone will still offload DS & NASCON 2morrow just to lay their hands on Transpower. |

I understand some might want to give up on getting TRANSPOWER @ below 500. Let me fuel your determination: GEREGU SP on 04.03.2024. 1000TRANSPOWER SP on 04.03.2024. 264GEREGU. 435MW installed capacity. 270MW generated capacity. TRANSPOWER. 1000MW installed capacity. 500MW generated capacity. ( TRANSAFAM POWER not included) In 2022, TRANSPOWER had a EPS of NGN218 (yes that is correct). What you make of this info is up to you... |

It won't be available today because the listing officially takes place after close of trading... dapix: If transcorp power is not available to buy today, UBA shares might be considered from my perspective, as that is still going to be the reservoir of all the funds from the group.

Let me buttress your point. These oligarchs are business men. Some play clean, others don't. BUA Foods revolutionalized Rabiu's worth and Dangote is towing that path. TOE saw the transformation of GEREGU, he couldn't wait for 5years like he earlier planned. If you cannot smell the money or see the trail, just follow those with the money... Shalom428: The surest way to make money this year and next is to follow the oligarchies . As Transcorp Power announcement came like a thief in the night , Na xo DangFood announcement go come
Too many uncertainties as to , if the present shareholder of Transcorp will have some part of the power's cake but it is 💯 certain that DS / Nascon holders will share in DangFood's cake
Once upon a time , Buafoods was selling at 47 Naira . I posted last year that Buafoods will rally in anticipation for DangFood, that was when Buafoods was sub 200 . I remember getting attacked on this forum when I mentioned ₦350. The rest is history now. A word is enough for the wise
Summary : Follow The Money
Not a buy / recommendations

This. Is. Business  onegentleguy: Here's what you should know;
The absence of a share allotment amidst an unbundling/spin-off of the power arm should it materialize, defies the basic logic of equity investing. ...it's like asserting that what was clearly a SUBSET to a SUPERSET can become a DISJOINT SET or even the superset itself without an established process of dissolution.
TRANSCORP POWER was a subset of TRANSCORP PLC and not a disjoint set or a superset of the latter. Well, so we thought!
Nigeria is indeed a funny place!
My projection;
• Attention may well shift to TRANSCORP POWER in the near term. (value accretive potential in view)
• For good reason, TRANSCORP PLC remains a hold in the short term as "there just might be some available juice to sip from it". But am not so sure if that "juice" can last for so long. TRANSCORP PLC? ...I'll search for reward having a traders mindset. TRANSCORP POWER? ...I'll look out for value having an investors mindset.
@ ToE & co may have shortchanged minority investors, but at this point I care less about that. ...it's now strictly business for us! ...but that's just me so you might also want to follow your instinct.
CAVEAT: The need for due diligence should still take higher precedence ahead of this post.

Here's the shareholders of Transcorp Power as at Dec 2022 as obtained on their website.
This is just 80,216,413 units anyway but...
I think they had ONLY institutional shareholders (just like Dangote Rice) but are now throwing it to the 'public'

Excellent response! These companies also have a legal team who advices them. So don't be surprised IF they are absolved of any wrongdoing For now we need to call on the regulatory bodies to do their work... 222Martins: Sure!!!! But shareholders deserve full disclosure..........See the way Airtel announced their buyback plan, and how ChampionBrew announced their strategic acquisition; that is how it is supposed to be in a Public Quoted company..........Shareholders are supposed to be carried along from conception to actualisation. |

You need to realize that I do not need to like you [or your ways] before I can make money off you. If TOE lists his company at 240 and I can make 240 in 1month (that's 100%), why will I run away because he has bad antecedents? THIS IS BUSINESS! |

That is why i see that his foundation as a scam. I don't think he has plans to do that.why was the Listing kept secret till on Friday after the close of business and Listing on Monday .You will see 80% of the ownership to himself and one proxy as investment partners registered in one country. 10 % to the parent company and 10% to mugu investors in naija that will push the price to 1000 for him |

Very valid point! All the SWOOT (with a parent company) have the parent as a majority shareholder... 222Martins: Wait till it is listed and the shareholding structure becomes clear..........If the parent Transcorp PLC is a minority shareholder in the new Transcorp Power plc, which is what i am expecting based on Tony's antecedent; my brother........RUN!!!!! |

If we look at the share of energy market volume as well as installed capacity NGN240 is a steal. However, based on the antecedents of TOE, we need to tread with caution. Whatever happens, it has a very strong potential to exceed 1000 before December. Let's wait till we get the full details then we can make an informed decision... sterlingD: Wow but that listing price is high to me look at Geregu it was listed at from N100

Depends on your plan: short or long term investments. Nevertheless, I will personally recommend FOOD and ENERGY (you can't fail with food) Not sure about the other two (CLOTHING & SHELTER) FOOD: BUAFOOD, DANGFOOD (DANGSUGAR, NASCON) ENERGY: GEREGU, TRANSCORP delvzy: To the OGs and well-wishers in the how, I do need a bit of advice from you. I’m planning to create an investment portfolio based on four key areas-; Food, Clothing, Shelter and Power. Would you care to recommend some quoted coys w good fundamentals that fall under this category or have a direct or indirect link to the categories mentioned above?
Your diverse feedback is much appreciated. |
