Group G Brazillians are always favourites in every world cup. This world cup may be Neymar swan song, thus he will want to carry the weight of the team on his shoulders. The Brazilians are also blessed in all departments of the game. Neymar would most likely by flanked by Rodrygo and Vinicious Jnr, two of the most exciting talents in World football. From the goal keeping department to the attack, most likely to be led by Richarlison, the Brazilians have a deep squad that would give their opponents sleepless nights. However, it would not be a stroll in the pack for the Brazilians because their opponents are equally well armed and prepared. The Serbians have a Midfield well marshalled by Serge Milenkovic Savic and two very expereiened, potent and in-form strilkers viz Alexander Mitrovic and Dusan Vlahovic. The Cameroun would be bringing to the party, the indefatigable African Spirit and unpredictability of the indomitable lions. The Swiss on their on part have a team no one can just write off. Star Players Switzerland - Breel Embolo (Monaco), Granit Xhaka (Arsenal) Brazil - Neymar (PSG), Vinicius Jnr (Real Madrid) Cameroun - Eric Choupo-Mouting (Bayern), Vincent Aboubakar (Al Nassr) Serbia - Dušan Vlahović (Juventus), Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham)

GROUP F The Belgium team were Semi finalist in the 2018 edition of the World Cup. They will be coming to this tournament with loads of expectations. The mercurial form of Kevin de Bruyne and Leandro Trossard and other exciting talents in the team is expected to help the men from Flanders to travel far in this tournament. The Belgianns would not have a smooth ride through this Group with the presence of last edition finalist; Croatia. The Croatia comes to this World with a widely experienced midfield trio of Marcelo Brozovic, Mateo Kovacic and Opera Master Luka Modric. It seems that Belgium and Croatia would most likely qualify from the group but the Morocans and Candians should never be underated. Star Players Canada - Alphosus Davies (FC Bayern), Ike Ugbo (Troyes) Croatia - Luka Modric (Real Madrid), Ivan Perisic (Totenham) Belgium - Kelvin De Brune (Man City), Leandro Trossard (Brighton & Hoves) Morocco - Achraf Hakimi (PSG), Youssef En-Nesyri 9Sevilla)

GROUP E Group E would be an interesting group. It has two of the power houses of World Football; Germany and Spain. Though the German have not been doing too well recently, evidenced from their performances in the Euro Nations League, however they always put up a decent performances in the world Cup. Spain is coming to the world cup with an exciting team of talented youngsters mixed with very experienced legs. Japan on the other hand are a handful for any team any day any time. The Japanese play a brand of fluid attacking and pressing football. Nothing much can be said of Costa Rica except that they are an unpredictable team with a lot of gust and grit in the field of play, thus cannot be overlooked. Star Players Germany - Jamal Musiala (FC Bayern Munich), Kai Havertz (Chelsea Spain - Ansu Fati (FC Barcelona, Ferran Torres (FC Barcelona) Costa Rica - Joel Campbell (Liga MX Leon), Keylor Navas (PSG) Japan - Takumi Minamino (Monaco), Maya Yoshida (Schalke 04)

GROUP D Group D includes current defending champion France. France with its unending supply mill of Stars has in its fold amazing players including current World Footballer of the Year, Kareem Benzema and one of the heir apparent to the throne of Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo in the person of Kylian Mbape. France is not expected to have too much trouble qualifying from the group. It would be more of who qualifiy along with France from the other three teams. Star Players France - Kareem Benzema (Real Madrid), Kylian Mbape (PSG) Denmark - Christian Erikson (Manchester United), Martins Braithwaite (Espanyol) Australia - Martin Boyle (Hibernian), Ajdin Hrustic (Hellas Verona Tunisia - Youssef Msakni (Al-Arabi, Ellyes Skhiri (FC Cologne)

GROUP C The Qatar 2022 World cup is Lionel Messi last chance of winning the world cup. Fortunately Argentina is having a crop of talented and experienced players in their current team. Winning this world would finally comfirm Messi's Place in the pantheon of the greatest players of all time, further driving a wedge in the ongoing comparison between him and Christiano Ronaldo. However, Argentina would have to contend with the fire power of Poland led by Robert Lewandoski and the ever fluid and enterprising Mexicans. I believe the Saudis don't realy stand a chance; they will do more of making up the numbers. Star Players Argentina - Lione Messi (PSG), Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan) Poland - Robert Lewandoski (Barcelona), Piotr Zielinski (Napoli) Mexico - Raul Jimenez (Wolverhampton Wanderers) Edson Alvarez (Ajax) Saudi Arabia - Abdulelah Al-Amri

GROUP B Group B of the Qatar 2022 world Cup would be an interesting battle ground. There would be Political and Cultural undertone in some of the matches that would be played. For example the USA vs Iran match would evoke Political undertone, having in the mind the political hatred and conflict between both nations. Also the match between England and Wales would have a cultural undertone, since both nation were part of the Old Great Britain. Star Players England - Harry Kane (Tottenham Fc), Jude Bellingham (FC BVB Borussian Dortmund) Wales - Gareth Bale (Los Angeles FC) USA - Christian Pulisic (Chelfsea FC) Iran - Mehdi Taremi (FC Porto)

GROUP A Group A looks like an easy group for the Netherlands with current African Champion Senegal as the only real oppoition. However, the absence of Senegalese Talisman Sadio Mane would signifcantly weaken the team. Star Players Qatar - Al-Moez Ali Ecuador - Moise Calceido, Enner Valencia Netherland - Virgil Van Diyk, Memphis Depay Senegal - Pape Matar Sar, Ismailar Sar

Penguin2:Bros, Friday Osanebi is from Ndokwa East. He from the Ukwuani block of the Igbo ppeaking part of Delta State. I think both parties are strategesing to counter each other. The PDP Flag Bearer Sheriff Oborevwori is from Usubi, which is from the Okpe block of the Urhobo Nation (Delta Central) and his Deputy is Sir Monday Onyeme is from Ibabu in Onicha-Ukwuani town in Ndokwa West Local Government (Delta North). Senator Omo Agege is from Orogun in Ughelli South Local Government Area. So you can see both parties are trying to check mate one another. However, one thing that would work against Omo-Agege in Ukwuani/Ndokwa nation where both deputies hails from is the believe that Senator Omo-Agege used his influence to work against the siting of a Federal Polytechic in Aboh, but rather influenced the relocation to his hometown of Orogun. However, he has promised towards the building a step-down power station around Aboh to aid the power supply to the Ndokwa nation. Please, Okpai (a town in Ndokwa East LGA) houses the Okpai Power Station which one of the major power generation stations in Nigeria, yet the Ndokwa Nation/Ukwuani people suffers from gross electricity shortage. APC focus would be to entice the aggrieved elements in PDP that are dissatisfied with the emergence of Hon Sheriff Oborowevri as Governoship Candidate of PDP and also work towards securing the buy-in of the Ijaw Nation. In the Politics of Ndokwa nation Hon Friday Osanebi is more popular and influential than Sir Monday Onyeme. Note also that Osanebi is a PDP man. |

I believe the attitude of the people present was majorly the cause of this incidence; 1. Why will people go for such programme with their Children. The reason may be for them to collect and also for their children to collect these items from the organizers (GREED). 2. Don't be surprised that even people that even have to eat at home would come out to join the crowd of persons waiting. Nigerians like free stuff and giveaways. Here in Abuja anytime Saint Vincent De Paul and (Catholic Group) is organising Charity give away, you will surprised at the crowd and the types of persons you will see in the queue. The same occurs in most charity events organised by churches. 3. Nigerians find it difficult to stay on a queue peacefully. If everyone present there had stayed peacefully on that queue and waited patiently , the stampede would not have occurred. (IMPATIENT). |

Please why do men in this platform always sound like women don't have a choice on the kind of man they should marry. It is her life, let her make her decisions. |
I am particularly impressed with the Senegalese FA for keeping their Coach Aliou Cisse for 8 years. Even when he lost the last final they still retained him. If it is Nigeria they would have sacked him with a second thought |

To be fair, Senegal was the better team all through the match. Up Senegal, Up West Africa The North Africa will always align with Arab nations on Strategic matters and International Politics So I will always support our black African brothers La Viva Senegal |
Mane needs to utilise the chances Senegal is creating, if not they will regret it |
Algerians and their thearterics; a slight touch they fall and roll like they have been hit by a bullet. |
Nemesis0147:So because he is the Governor he should move an institution that have existed for over 50 years to a new locations and start building fresh infrastructures. Even when he has situated other tertiary institutions and campuses on existing onces in Nsukka Zone. If every Governor acts the way your suggesting, what do you think would become of Enugu State. Governor Yahaya Bello should first call-off his touts parading as revenue collectors and emblem revenue enforcers harassing private vehicle owners that commute through Kogi State enroute other states. |
SURElee:I totally agree with you. This kind of preaching where the woman becomes the focus gives some men the ego-push to feel they have the right to behave in a particular way and their wives should just put up with it. Today a lot of women are slaving to keep their homes while their husband throw up tantrums and all manner of bad behviours unbecoming of a man. This kind of preaching should be balanced, unfortunately Funke Felix Adejumo, comes down heavy on women most times. |
Amarabae:Thank you for your post. Both parties/gender should rather focus on covering each other. Men should equally stop looking for perfect wifes/women. Rev Funke Felix Adejumo most times focuses too much on women. She piles pressures on women a lot of times, I belive should bring in balance in her sermon. |
Refering to this stadium as Ultra Modern is an insult to the collective sensibilities of Anambrarians and sport loving Nigerians. This is at best a township stadium. It is a very modest effort by Governor Willy Obiano, however a great state like Anambra deserve something far far better than this. |
This does not happen only in Edo, Delta or Anambra State. From Abuja down South, you will encounter these touts with stickers in Lokoja just before the stop over point (after the Naval Check point) or if you are going through the Okene Ibillo axis before Lampese. The majorly target trucks and businesses. But the disturbing thing now is that they harass SUVs so if you drive a Sienna, Highlander, truck (Hilux, Ranger) etc even if it is a private vehicle they will stop and attempt to extort you. Also in the South West around the Ekiti axis you will encounter them. |
A lot of times people give birth to children without considering the implications. Child upbringing comes with a lot of pressure; the tokens they will receive from Government and other support organisations would not go too far in helping them meet their needs. In cases where they have the means to support and take care of the children from infanthood to adulthood, then no qualms, however we should consider; - Family Awareness/Education. - Family Planning - Financial Planning etc. Our population is becoming a burden to us; our resources as it currently stands cannot support our growing population. |
Let me use my new area as an example. - We bought cables - We bought poles - We bought D-Irons and Stay Wires - Paid AEDC to do the installation - We bought meters. Once the installation was done all the things we bought became the property of AEDC (Abuja Electricity Distribution Company) Then they slam you with high tarrifs There are so many reasons why the frustration level of Nigerians is increasing. |
Bros, you wife is helping you live a healthier life. 1. Too much meat (red) is not good for you at a particular age age. 2. When you get used to portions of eba that is too much, you get accustomed to it and this will affect you in several ways viz obesity, running the risk of developing diabetes and several others 3. Nothing stops you from serving your self and dishing the portion you think you deserves. 4. In your post, you talk condescendingly about your wife as if she is one maid that meant to serve you at all times. If you thinks she is not serving you well enough, just get into the kitchen and if you so wish empty the pot on your plate. 5. Issues like this hsould not be brough to Nairaland. Sit down with your wife and thrash this out. if she does not change, get somebodyt that she respects to talk to her. Shikena |
Gernot Rohr should at least bring in Ejuke to run down the flanks and put the Cape Verdian defense under pressure. |
The OilGuy are you in Benin. Your 2 numbers are not going through. I have been trying to reach you. |
Ole should be given more time. The league is not won or lost in November. |
