If ancient Egyptians were black, then the Australian Aborigines are africans too! Lol!

The Nwok ppl were working iron yeah, but not at the same time as Egypt. Not that it didnt happen, but we cant say or make such conclusion.

Yes ppl do say the universe is the handiwork of an anthromorphic intelligent designer, which is not an internal consistent thought. However, there are many Gods with different characters claimed by different cultures, and the Bible is the only material which defines the Christian God. Its up to you to use whatever tool: reason or faith to find the basis for the book and its truth claims.

As to an omniscient being, the attribute of free will is impossible to acquire, since the being is deemed to know all, its foreknowledge is constant and whatever outcome of an action is locked.

So if a man with free use of actions knows what the omniscient being knows about his future, can he change it? My answer is NO. Because if he can change, then the being's foreknowledge is unreliable and thus not omniscient.
Christianity Etc › Re: Who Wrote The Bible.? by Kay17: 10:25am On Oct 28, 2011
Of course men! Men whose intent we cant decipher but claim God inspired them. So whichever author who "claims" God inspired him is qualified to have his work complied within the Bible.

Its like the only job of a Protestant Christian is to bother and DISCRIMINATE. Hit out on atheists, muslims, eastern asian religion adherents, agnostics, homosexuals, Catholics, Mormons, Satanists, Jews, in general anyone in this diverse world that does follow your narrow view of life.
U ppl actually preach on hatred, and how to eliminate diversity. Which i thought was more of the handiwork of the devil.
Whoever is breed with this filthy and dangerous dogma is easily lend to racism.

U rushed to an assumption that God exists without justifying it.
As to freewill, it runs contrary to the intents of an omniscient being. Also what is the use of hell and heaven if not positive reinforcement?! More robotic.

Religions which are faith have failed in ascertaining a spiritual reality. Whatever conclusions they ve drawn are not verifiable among themselves but fundamental conflicts. Only the weak believe in dogma.
The only excuse left for God to exist is if its a necessity.

If the Nwok ppl had an advanced civilization before the Egyptians, then you and your "non-Western authentic source" have certainly rewritten history.
Its expected from Chevik Anta Diop to see Egypt from the "unbiased" lens of the spirit of the Negritude movement.
And you keep producing unsubstantiated stories. Matrilineal connection to the jews?!
Politics › Re: Homosexuals Storm National Assembly by Kay17: 8:02am On Oct 27, 2011
@Sagamite
Disgust is a OVER subjective measure, it could be applied widely.
As to incest, some standards of morality permit it. The Ancient Egyptian and Hawaiian societies allowed incest in the royal families. Catholics have permitted incest among cousins and btw uncles and nieces or aunts and nephews.
And incest is not a criminal offence in Nigeria. However the certain danger of deformity of an offspring is one of main reasons for discouraging it.
Politics › Re: Homosexuals Storm National Assembly by Kay17: 11:05pm On Oct 26, 2011
I doubt if you know anything about strawman arguments.
Besides, incest is not a crime in Nigeria
Politics › Re: Homosexuals Storm National Assembly by Kay17: 9:41pm On Oct 26, 2011
@Sagamite
The basic question here is why homosexuality is bad, the standard of morality must be ascertained. 'Disgust' was your major point. This ground could cover ethnic and political minorities, which is definitely not a desirable consequence.

The only reason why God seems necessary is to explain nature's complexity. However if there is a bigger and more complex being than nature, there is ad infinitum. Thus destroying the necessity for God.
If God is good, why is there evil? Who created evil?
I think that is the biggest incoherency in the Monotheist God
Politics › Re: Homosexuals Storm National Assembly by Kay17: 9:07pm On Oct 26, 2011
@Sagamite Hitler was disgusted with the Jews and Bolsheiviks and therefore criminalize their existence. Thus by your principle is justified!
By morality what do you mean? Whose morality is the standard for stamping and oppressing nonconventional behaviour?

incest involves harm to a third party. The high degree of deformity and even death of an offspring in that relationship.
But if they are sterile, it is a different issue and could be permissible.
That's one reason. Pls provide a secular reason why homosexuals cant be in a consensual relationship.

Please keep quiet if you don't know African history.

Ancient Egypt was a black African society, and was noted as such by ancient Greek visitors from Herodotus to Aristotle, and from Homer to Diodorus. The country was called Kemet by its people, meaning Black nation. In the tomb art still there in Egypt, all you see are black people. The blacks were eventually forced to flee south following several invasions culminating in the Arab invasion of 663 AD. Many African ethnic groups, such as Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Wollof, Ashanti etc show strong linguistic and other cultural similarities with Ancient Egypt, and have a tradition of migration from the northern parts of the continent in antiquity.
What trash did you just write?! Igbos from Egypt?!EGYPT black society? The Egyptians mentioned the Nubians as black ppl! Herodotus or the Greeks never called the Egyptians black.
Its overstretched panafricanism. Its ignorant to believe all the ppl on continent Africa are blacks.
Civilization started in Egypt and spread to mesopotamia. Not west africa or east africa!

"Disgust" touching on your cultural and religious hypersensitivity. Dogma is disgusts me too. To some people, one's ethnic or religious background disgusts them. Then almost everyone will be in prison by your principle Sagamite.
At the end of the day, the essence of your freedom is to protect you from hypersensitive ppl. If homosexuality is consensual, there is no secular reason to criminalise their behaviour even if its by choice or fun

It would have been important if you mentioned the timeline. Most of these contacts where from 11th century upwards. The Egyptians right from the Oldest kingdom, the times they built the pyramid, there was NO RECORDED contact with the black africa, except Nubia. They knew far more about the Phoencians, Romans, and Greeks
The Egyptians fought their wars of domination in the Middle East. Fought with the one of the most famous ancient battle with Hittites.
Africa is a word an armchair geographer used to conveniently identify the large triggerlike continent. The Maghreb and Egypt were not blacks!

Christianity Etc › Re: Famous Scientists Who Believed In God by Kay17: 9:34pm On Oct 23, 2011
OLAADEGBU:
No.  It only means that they are being consistent with their beliefs.  This is how scientists who believe in God explains it:

Most fields of science were developed by men who believed the Bible, such as Isaac Newton (dynamics, gravitation, calculus), Michael Faraday (electromagnetics, field theory), Robert Boyle (chemistry), Johannes Kepler (astronomy), and Louis Pasteur (bacteriology, immunization).  Francis Bacon, a Bible-believing Christian who developed the scientific method.

The reason such fields of science developed was the belief that God created the universe and that He instituted laws that we could investigate.  Even today, many great scientists believe the Bible and use good observational science on a daily basis.

Even logic flows naturally from a biblical worldview.  Since we are created in the image of a logical God, we would expect to have logical faculties.  However, logic is not a material entity, so it becomes a problem for the materialist atheist who denies the immaterial realm.  From a materialistic perspective, a logical thought is the same as an illogical thought, it is merely a chemical reaction in the brain.  From a materialistic point of view, then, the perception of logic is due to random processes and has nothing to do with absolute truth, which is also immaterial.

So in a biblical worldview, logic exists and so does truth, both of which are immaterial.  But in a purely materialistic worldview, there is no basis for logic or truth to exist, since they are immaterial.  And if our brains are the result of random mutations and natural selection, how do we know that our brains have evolved in a way that allows us to think and reason according to truth?

To state that logic can yield a truthful result means that absolute truth must exist, hence God.  This does not mean that atheists and evolutionists cannot use logic or do science.  But when they do, they must borrow from the above Christian principles, an action which is not consistent with their professed worldview.  Click here for more
You insist your God is a supernatural being (whatever it means) which runs contrary to the foundational assumptions of science, that all causes are natural. i wonder how you managed to squeeze scientific explanations out of the bible and religious phenomena.

Also, logic and faith are incompatible. If you were using logic, you wouldn't have the certainty to say Jesus resurrected from the dead.

There has been more contact btw the MIDDLE EAST/Europe and north Africa than NA and subSahara Africa. We are very different in culture and skin colour. We just share the same continent.
Politics › Re: Homosexuals Storm National Assembly by Kay17: 6:13pm On Oct 23, 2011
Apart from quoting bible verses, there is no other reason to criminalize homosexuality. Its a right to privacy, the public has no interest or right to interfere into one's private life. Its unfortunate that the term "unAfrican" is used to victimize people. What is African? Are we insects that are slaves to conformity?

A silent genocide orchestrated by monotheists

If some scientists believe in God, does that mean the claim God exists is falsifiable?
