EducationRe: University Of Ilorin Is Number 1 In Nigeria. by kaycast(m): 1:52pm On Feb 22, 2010
at times i don't really understand the essence of arguing over clueless issues on Nl, because i dont see where this argument is heading to, the most annoying thing is the issue of coming here to insult other people, can't we talk in a civil manner, present our argument without insulting other people, worst of all its left for the world to view

Our problem should be how we can make this Nation a great one

EducationRe: Decline In Educatn In Nigeria: Who Is To Blame? The Students, Teachers Or Gov't? by kaycast(m): 10:47am On Jan 30, 2010
well from your question looks like we are talking about public schools, well all the people mentioned above have one part or the other to play, the govt need to provide condusive atmosphere for teaching and learning, students have to be more serious and drop bad habits like cheating, but truthfully teachers have more work to do than the other two, i think major problem comes from the teacher, in most public schools teachers usually have this non-challant attitude towards their job and i think this is where majority of the problem lies.
PoliticsRe: What Has Fashola Really Done? by kaycast(m): 10:16am On Jan 30, 2010
Besides all that have been said, Fahola so far is the BEST leader that has served in Lagos, he has been able to prune the local government chairmen and their cabinet to produce the best result, whether you want to accept it or not, for once in lagos there is democracy that has ORDER, the things Fashola is doing might nnot seem to look like has any considerable impact to some ppl now, but i tell u its a foundation of better things to come.
FamilyRe: Is It Good For Parent To Use Abusive Words by kaycast(m): 10:10am On Jan 30, 2010
its very bad for parents to abuse their children, some of them go as bad as cursing them ;oloshi, oloriburuku(bad head), omo ale(bastard),etc
it has become a normal thing, it really has a side effect on those children.

Hey its okay i have been there before, but Garby as done a good work by answering some vital parts.
I was studying accounting before, i had to switch to international relations and now am doing good, but in your case those are two extreame fields, you have to be really sure about what you want, try to be objective and know what you really want, are you sure about this move, but my best bet for you is that if you are almost through with pharmacy, just hold on a little bit and launch out after this first degree, you will be surprised how proud you will become at the end of the day.

Our dear president cannot even think straight, when he is thinking about how he can live longer
a sick mind can never produce anything good

Thats why we have to fight corruption, so that we can vote for whom ever we want, not just taking anyone that was given to us.
BusinessReport Fraud Or 419 Activities by kaycast(op): 4:33pm On Aug 01, 2009
Due to the thread on the issue of how can we combat fraud in Nigeria, this new thread has come up, so let us report any fradulent activities both online and offline on this thread, state their activities and contact eg web address

N.B this should not be used to spoil any good name, but rather to bring out the evil of our society.

TOGETHER WE CAN DO IT, PROUDLY NIGERIAN.
BusinessRe: How Can We Combat Fraud In Nigeria? by kaycast(m): 4:27pm On Aug 01, 2009
Most of us are not takin g this issue serious, the havoc done to us by our so called 419 as done more damage than we can ever think, as a nigerian you are not allowed to do certain things online, you are denied access to some sites, we cannot transact business with some companies, am sure children born in this 21st century as Nigerians would feel so cheated for being condemned for what they dont even understand. Like the poster said we cant wait for Mr oyinbo to come and help us, we gotta do it ourselves, thank God for nairaland and nairalanders(shhhh some of dem dey here), we would start from here, since this place is major for onliners , i will start a thread titled REPORT 419 ACTIVITIES

So for Nigerians who wants to make a difference in helping us rid off these black sheeps report any thing that looks like fraud to you ranging from online to offline activities, I WOULD LOVE THIS SO MUCH, Lets go there

EducationWhat Can Nigerian Youth Do Or Invent? by kaycast(op): 7:39am On Aug 01, 2009
I am posting this thread to awaken us to start thinking of how we can make this nation proud, can we actually think or invent anything? in other countries the youths are the strength of their nations check out http://nigerian-youth..com

we can lay claim to many disadvantages starting from electricity output, lack of infrastructure etc, but all the same, we cant allow this to stop us.

i want Nairalanders to begin to post what they can do or invent with their contact, so that we can help ourselves get better patronage, also to get people to invest in us

it might be anything, ranging from freelance writter, to painting, to singing, a lyricist, web designer, a speaker, production of electrical gadgets, clothings, softwares, just anything you can think of

We cannot keep depending on other nations for everthing, WHAT CAN WE DO?

FamilyRe: Handling Parental Pressure: For Young People by kaycast(m): 7:57pm On Jul 31, 2009
Both good and bad parents put pressure on their kids, the Youth must understand that it is necessary for our parents to do this, they do this out of love and not of hatred, as they say THE TRUTH IS BITTER. So we must understand that for our lives to become better our parents have to put some degree of pressure on us, although i agree that some parents go to the extreeme, and this can be so dangerous, as it as led so many out of the way more, but on the other hand positive pressure is needed to guide us to our destination

So for youngsters take it easy and know that your folks love, thats why they are doing what they are doing.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Is Nigerian Police Your Friend? by kaycast(m): 7:43pm On Jul 31, 2009
Honestly i have thought over this issue over and over again, but still cant say anthing good about the Nigerian police, they are so dirty, filtyh, corrupt, i wish i had more words to describe them, if i had my way, i would prosecute every police man collecting Egunje or money on the way by hanging or firing squad, ther irritate me, i wonder if the FG does not pay them. Nigerian police are not our friends at all in any way, they dont even ensure our safety, they are so useless i just hate their activities. i personally would be involved in any activity that would rid these dirty people from the Nigerian force.

EducationRe: Study Skills by kaycast(m): 6:46pm On Jul 31, 2009
a very good question;

You must first understand yourself, so that you can tell how many times you need to read anything before you understand, also you must note what time of the day you can assimilate better, for some people its in the morning, some afternoon, some middle of the night, when you discover yours that would be the best time for you to read and i can assure you, you will get more done.

Also you must understand that its not when you have exams that you begin to rush to read, it works for some, but fails many, and also when you get involved in the habit of reading more often it will open ur brain to assimilate more like they say PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.

i believe strongly that no knowledge can ever be a waste, and i can assure you this course can never turn out to be waste, if there is something else you would like to study, why not switch and if its impossible, stick with it, ypou might later find a good reason for studying the course, or rather manage through it then you can go for a masters degree in any course you would love to read, Dont give up, there will be light at the end of this tunnel, learn more, discover yourself http://www.nigerian-youth..com
