Just surfaced from the underground. Had to make sure nobody spoilt anything for me. Apparently, the only thing worth spoiling was that Demon Balor came to Brooklyn, again.
Anyway, did I not predict that a Charlotte win would earn her Roman treatment? When was the last time the WWE Universe chanted "You deserve it" while a face was getting whupped? My vex is that reports on twitter say Becky is turning full-blown heel. How boring! You have a character with relatable gripes and fan love and you want to waste that? WTF is wrong with Vince? Book Becky as a frustrated anti-hero and not as some villain. Anyways, fans on twitter said they'll cheer for Roman before they boo Becky. I stand with them. Charlotte is the heel in the feud.
nadleeh: Guy you don't even know what your talking about. do you know how many times reviewers have agreed, disagreed and argued about rating of IGN and Gamespot?? the time MGS 5 Phantom Pain got a 10/10 from bout of them, how many reviewers where on that case?
Critiquing a reviewer's review is one thing. Using another reviewer's review as a validation of yours paints you as unsure. It sounds like " I don't really have an independent opinion of this issue. So I'll go with what so-and-so reviewers are saying."
nadleeh: These movies you named, did they completely destroy the origin story of their main characters or not ? . This movie is so inaccurate that you can't even try to match things. The game had 9 characters, and this movie still had 2 of them in it ....and somehow we're still talking about this movie ! . To end this, come and post any review or post to back your claim, and pls do not even think of asking me to do the same bacause the list will be endless ...
What kind of reviewer defends their review with other reviews? Not very professional.
KoiceReloaded: HBO certainly knows how to bring it. Consistently dropping hits back to back. What I love most about their original programming is how niched they are. Their shows are certainly not for everyone. They have been synonymous with harmonious quality as for long as I can remember, that I've become hopelessly addicted to that famous HBO logo on a white-noise backdrop that herald all their original programming.
I'm stilled awed by the brilliance of Succession, and I can't wait for Sharp Objects to conclude so I can eat it up too. Thus, it's a joy that they have okayed a series of new dramas and miniseries ranging from a period-mystery-supernatural to a social commentary. Can't wait.
Expected shows to air between 2018/2019 - Watchmen (sci-fi fantasy) - Lovecraft Country (period-mystery-supernatural) - Demimonde (sci-fi fantasy) - Euphoria (social commentary) - The Nevers (unspecified genre)
Miniseries - Gentleman Jack (History) - Chernobyl (History) - My Brilliant Friend (unspecified genre)
I saw Gentleman Jack and instantly thought of Jack The Ripper. Am I warm?
Trevor was one of the most interesting characters in GTA V. At least, during my short playthrough. Franklin seemed rather bland. Michael was interesting. But Trevor Was The sh1t. His psychosis made it feel so right to go rampaging around Los Santos. It felt like something he would do.
Sunkyphil: Am not expecting him to either cos there are speculations that he is going back to ufc
There were valid reports that he would be going back to UFC since Survivor Series. A lot of us thought a Roman Reigns WM victory was a foregone conclusion. We all know how that turned out.
Sunkyphil: U do not c d possibility of braun cashing in
That's why I said the only surprise would be Brock retaining. All expectations are that he'll lose the title this Sunday. Kevin, Braun or Roman could walk out with it. But nobody's expecting Brock to walk out with that title.
LucemFerre: Some, not everybody. Whoever thought North America and Japan of all places would be the ones to create a football game? Sorry if I misinterpreted your intent.
But, I agree though. Japan are so cultural, to the extent that some people think they're racists. What is with Japanese and big a$$ bosses, crappy stories and nudity though? That part of the culture too? Giant bad guys turn me off. Hell they even found a way to fit them in a damn zombie game. Resident evil
Crappy stories? I cannot abide this. Whatever weird Japanese fetishes JRPGs may be guilty of, crappy stories is not one of them. Let's just end this on the note that JRPGs aren't your thing
crafteck: Religion guides your behavior in reality, same as tradition, reading is a hobby/art/streamline education / anything that deals directly with reality is a way of life...... Directly
crafteck: Its right cos each time you finish a gaming session, you wake from your slumber and face reality...
Never knew there were people here who could argue without unnecessary insults.. Respect boss
Respect to you too bro.
crafteck: if you are not making money from it, stop assuming it's a way of life
Going by this statement, religion, tradition, reading, charitable endeavors, recreational sports, etc cannot be referred to as "a way of life". Sounds wrong to me
crafteck: If you mean casual gamer, as in not a geek or addict, im guilty, games are for passing time, entertainment and a temporary side step for reality, as a gamer, if you are not making money from it, stop assuming it's a way of life
So nobody's going to talk about how idi0t Ghost scared Terry away? Now problem that was supposed to be solved is now complicated. Tommy is too simple. You haven't even known your dad for a year and your singing like a nightingale. He's lucky it seems like Teresi is going soft for him and choosing to throw Ghost to the wolves. Dre is going to be pissed with Ghost. Angela should not turn evil, abeg. There's still hope for her.
crafteck: I think I'm in a position to generalize, at least in lagos, I dont know how many ps3, 4 and vita have passed through me for installation, one or two of these games are asked after once in like 3 years bro, if you like them, you are one in a million nigerian
Then let your question show that it's limited to Nigerian gamers. And we all know Naija gamers are divided into two.
crafteck: How many people, i dont mean to hunt for likes but if you like Japanese games click like, they design games for their people, always machines that can do backflip Blanka bla,, 2 much sci-fi futuristic bs, they successfully killed metal gear for the rest of the world
Everybody designs games for their people. Or are you implying Americans and Canadians design games for Nigerians? You probably look to Nigerian statistics, because any gaming enthusiast knows that Final Fantasy has a fanbase that dwarfs Grand Theft Auto. Japanese RPGs are some of the most popular games and if you're just discovering that, you're probably a casual, casual gamer. They created Metal Gear and they can kill it. They still won't destroy more games than EA.
A generic, mildly entertaining movie. Dwayne Johnson just took an easy paycheck with this one. Didn't even have to stretch his acting chops. Movie's so predictable, you can predict which direction the plot's going if you've half a brain. It's definitely not blowing any minds but it will keep you a bit entertained for 100 minutes. This is just a movie for when you've got nothing else to do and you just need to pass the time looking at a screen. Not bad that you'll regret watching it. But not so good that you'll be mind-blown by what you watched.
KoiceReloaded: Actually, it's the other way round. Jack sucked her in.
If she hadn't return, handcuffed Jack would have drowned eventually. She was the survivor, not Jack. She got herself betrothed to someone she despised, not because she had no choice, but because it's advantageous to her social hierarchy. It elevated her social status, opened doors for her that were shut before. She intended to marry rich because she fancied a glamorous way of life. That's surviving (She was from a noble but penniless family). Would have left the wrecked ship too, along with other entitled rich folks, but went back because of Jack. In that instance, she threw her survival instinct to the wind because of love.
Jack was the romantic, not Rose. He wooed depressed Rose, and successfully convinced her to fall in love with him. He sucked her into the bottomless pit of unconditionally young love. Rose saved him from drowning, and he simply returned the favor. Motivated by love, yes, but gratitude also played a huge part.
armadeo: i was watching some scenes over the weekend on you tube where rose was leaving the ship, as the boat was lowering she was starring at jack and she jumped back into the sinking ship.
Can't remember the movie elaborately. So armadeo's post had me thinking Jack was free and mobile when she jumped back in
Funny how most of these folks that claim to shun western culture and scream "appreciate our own" will still turn around and bash those that come up with unique ideas. Laetitia is definitely a unique-minded person. The moment I saw the title, I just had to see what a hair sculpture would look like. Just love the unusual concept and how she adapts it to send a message.
armadeo: titanic is the most powerfull love story i have ever seen on screen.
that movie is the king of romance love story movies.
it would take a lot to defeat it.
i was watching some scenes over the weekend on you tube where rose was leaving the ship, as the boat was lowering she was starring at jack and she jumped back into the sinking ship.
jeez, that movie shook me as it did the entire planet
That was the moment the mumu signed Jack's death warrant. Dude was a survivor, and would have made it out on his own. But the biatch had to jump back and burden him with herself. And then she couldn't even make room for him on the board. Or at least, die with him. Love, my foot
