debosky: People screaming AW is still not buying - he has bought one player, which is more than we can say about Chelski and the scumtwats.
He signed one, and will get the rest he wants in due time.
The 'rumours' about Chamakh are getting stronger - some bloggers report he's been telling friends that he is going to Arsenal.
The key thing is, will AW sign him with Ade still at the club or will he focus on selling Ade off before making the move for Chamakh?
PS - it's still speculation at this stage, but I am beginning to believe the story more and more. . . watch this space!! Debo stop this trite line. Pray tell, when did these 2 teams become the yardstick for our activities in the transfer market. (Hasn't Chelsea sealed Sturridge's deal with only a minor part of the deal left to be sorted out?) Do agree Wenger have at least made a purchase, but we shouldn't forget Man U's mercurial financial muscle due to Ron's sale and the last time i checked,Chelsea is still Roman's army. |

tpiah: Odutodaiwa is different from Oduduwa.
Yoruba language is very specific. Specific?Ever heard of afomo? E.g Malaolu = Mun aso ala fun olu,Olodumare=olodu omo are and Kabiyesi = Ka bi o o si There are many examples of this and i think the Oduduwa's case shouldn't be far off. But then i am open to know a new dimension,if there is any. |

Oduduwa in Yoruba is translated as Odu- to- da- iwa meaning the oracle that created(or bequathed) good behaviour. |

CNN) -- Entertainer Michael Jackson was taken to a hospital on Thursday after suffering cardiac arrest, sources briefed on the situation told CNN.
A Los Angeles fire official told CNN that paramedics arrived at Michael Jackson's home after a 911 call.
Paramedics revived Jackson before taking him to the hospital.
Fire Capt. Steve Ruda told CNN a 911 call came in from a west Los Angeles residence at 12:21 p.m.
Ruda said Jackson was treated and transferred to the UCLA Medical Center.
Asked specifics of the patient's condition, the spokesman said he could not discuss them because of federal privacy laws.
The music icon from Gary, Indiana, was known as the "King of Pop."
Jackson was the seventh of nine children in a well-known musical http://edition.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Music/06/25/michael.jackson/index.htmlI do not think it's confirmed yet though. |

HNIC: How i wish he stops granting interviews Na by force
Journalist: Cesc, are u going to Madrid or Barca? Cesc: Speak to my agent, please Journalist: why are you wasting your time at Arsenal? It's a useless club.No direction. No money. At this rate, relegation beckons Cesc: If you say that again, you will be held responsible for what I may do to you Journalist: Finally, Cesc.are you not home sick, the sunny weather, the lovely spainish babes and the Euros?as againt the shitty Pounds!! Cesc: Thank you very much.Next Journalist please !!!!
No one will misinterprete anything. Shut up Cesc Fabregas! Or he does exactly what Xavi did when he was linked to Real: "Are you sure? Well I feel for them, but that is impossible. I could not be happy playing for Real Madrid, although I appreciate the compliments, especially from a rival team," Maybe, just maybe the journalists will SHUT up. |

Eastbay: Who and who is impotent? Faregas wasn't looking potent by any means against Donovan and Bradley yesterday Is he better off than any of his mates? Debosky, Why defend the indefensible? Fab wants to go.I don't see any difference from greedy Ade. Eastbay, howdie? The word "impotencia" as used by Fab in the interview is to describe Arsenal's trophylessness(which of course Fab is part of) and not to take a swipe at his team mate. How many times have these lads given interview in their local tongue and English journo just twist and blow it out of proportion. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by kaypumpin2(m): 3:44pm On Jun 25, 2009 |
debosky: There's a world of difference bro! RVP and Cesc's comments are way different from Ade's
RVP says he wants to see more ambition - i.e wants the club to improve, and he has NO ISSUES with the financial side. As a top athlete, you want to WIN and as a 'senior' member of the squad, he has to voice what the other players might be saying/worrying about.
Ditto with Cesc - as a world class player, you cannot but expect him to be frustrated with the club's lack of trophies (as all of we fans are), and by saying it, brings more pressure to bear on the club leadership to effect necessary changes.
If we are frustrated by lack of trophies/ambition, we cannot expect our best players not to feel the same
Ade? He's completely self centered whining about 'pay me like Henry', 'I need to pay for my retirement', 'I am flattered by Beyonce and Rihanna being interested' 'Fans are booing me because Porto (?) want me' and other ridiculous comments. Almost nothing about how to improve the club or get ahead, but all about himself.
Note - Cesc isn't blaming anyone for this, he is expressing his personal feelings over Arsenal not winning. SIMPLE. As a player, he is fully allowed to say this and he should, while ALSO believing in the ability of club management to turn things around.
He doesn't want to leave now, but will leave in 3-4 years anyways. The key is winning next season, not getting bent out of shape by frank words from someone who loves this club. I see,at least he wants more trophies, not more money, or a more important club BUT hold it,would Ade have been given the same benefit of doubt as Fab if he's the one that granted the interview?Everyone, except Peter Hill-Wood,knows we need match winners in our rank, and until this malady is rectified, each of our top players(Ade inclusive) we always give interview that will be considered flirtatios and haughty. I am extremely sure this Fab's vituperation(if it can be called that until he refutes it again) is more of self critisism and as i said,it is one rage and passion that i hope can snow-ball into more guts on the field. And i hope he infects Ade with that too |
