Most of the  present players we have will not make it work.At least not Bendtner(no pace and skill),Van Persie(due to the reason Debo highlighted plus the fact Persie needs 2 or more touches to effect his play),Diaby(timid,inconsistent and indecisive),Song(needs acres of space to operate,when close down he loses possession easily and resort to hacking down).

Nasri,Arshavin and to a reasonable extent,Fab can make the 4-3-3 work but then these other players seems like fish outta water when enforced to play the formation.My opinion though.

I think the fact Wenger is waiting till Senderos leaves before copping a CB is ludicrous.Isn't this a player he said is free to leave. . . . ?
If that is translated to mean he's not in Wenger's plan originally,why wait till he leaves before we buy a defender?

News update:

Arsene has said he is reverting to a 4-3-3 formation this season. He says he wants to keep things 'tight' in the middle. He has experimented with this in our preseason games.

What it seems to me is he is trying to prepare himself in case we don't get to sign a DM. In that case, he will be playing the duo of Cesc and Song and Rossa/Nasri in midfield with Arsh, RVP and Bendtner playing upfront.

That formation had to be the best decision Wenger made since Arshavin's purchase. . . . . .

It is a no brainer that we have no natural "width" player in our team whilst the team is replete with central/centre forwards who we most times "kill" their flair and game by pushing them to the flank.The formation IMHO is the panacea to the needless possesional and predictable passes we made for most part of last season.With this too,we will have greater and better  options going forward and tracking back.

This may just be the "turning point" season if the right decisions are made.
