@Kay - i dont care. . . .lets sell him . .as long as we buy another quality striker, Honestly . .if Man City breaks into the top 4 next season. . .i dont see it the expense of Arsenal, its would be between MAN UTD / L'pool - WATCH THIS SPACE. . . . . .

But overall. . . if there are offers (Good money) from other league/country . . .then i prefer ADE move to other league instead of CITEH
I do care. cool Pray tell when was the last time Arsenal bought an out and out attacker and he became an instant ball of fire?Plus none of the attackers we have now has proven they can stay fit for a long period save for Bendtner who happens to be a work in progress.

So we sell Ade now and replace him with who?Chamakh?  undecided

Ade may not be the next best thing since telephone,BUT having a clear-headed him is a PLUS. cool

presido1:
I believe since Sky has gave it as a breaking news its no longer rumour. The Question now if weda they will agree a price otherwise their is a transfer discusion in progress.

It will be bloody if this deal go through and Citeh enter the UCL at the expense of Arsenal which seems most likely as things stand now. tongue tongue tongue
Hell has a better chance of experiencing  sub-zero temperature than City breaking into the top 4.
Infact i see them struggling a la Spuds in the first half of the season plus Hughes will be the first casulty this season.  cool

Sky Sources understand Manchester City are in talks with Arsenal over the possible signing of striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

Source:http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5430969,00.html

If this is not one of the numerous tabloid BS,then i think Wenger is commiting a BIG blunder wanting to sell to one of our potential rival for the coveted UCL spot. cry

Why not sell him to another league/country entirelyhuh??

Still No signings. . .  .Almunia is requesting for more experienced signings . . . .  huh huh huh
And what experience did Al have before manning the post for us?I think these players should put a suck in it(if these is not a recycled article by the media) and face the challenge of the coming season. And i am sure Song,Denilson,Theo et al has learnt a thing or two from the experience of last season, and thus can't be termed inexperienced again. cool

debosky:
If Batuidi comes he must be behind Song in the pecking order.
Personally i feel Matuidi's addition shouldn't be more than providing options in the middle as he's not the experience we need per se.I do not see him sending Song down the pecking order if Song continues at the rate he did towards the close of last season. There's still ample time for one more addition ,and let see if we can get an "Eduardo like" CM signing as i am not keen on a big name, just an efficient and effective player that will allow Cesc run thing as he wants.

Dr Kitaun:
no mind dem . . .dem wan rig Adebayor out of Arsenal using any diabolical means possible  cry

THIS WAS A REACTION ON THE ADEBAYOR BROCHURE FROM www.aculturedleftfoot.wordexpress.com

Unfortunately this seems to hold true for Arsenal fans and especially when the tabloids get a whiff of it.

The way it panned out, especially in light of Ade’s plea for support on footy-focus, that brochure looks very stupid and unhelpful. May have been a joke, he is usually very sharp and enjoyable, but this one got away.

What the team does not need at the start of this new season is ill-will, negativity, and being undermined for last season. They should be entirely focussed, determined, and positive. Anything we as fans can do to help in the effort that began yesterday to win the premier league we should do. However it was intended, being run in the papers that brochure did the opposite of that.

I hope all preseason rings out with Ade’s song, just as the emirates did for arsene at the last home game.

and another

The brochure was bollocks designed to give the average reader a little laugh. It wasnt a brochure designed to give Arsenal fans any insightful information. It has been turned into a public opinion that all Arsenal fans hate Ade, this idea was around from before and we are now seen as the worst supporters. Those that back these acts of idiocy, you are the ones labelled as the supporters who cant support, not the rest of us, you are just giving us a bad name. This is why we slag u cun*s off.

I dont know how many others wish Ade to leave, because for me i hope wenger does everything to convince him to stay. He is our fittest, strongest, and probably most reliable striker in the squad. For all RvP’s brilliance, he is more suspect to niggly injuries. Ade will provide us a 30+ goal proven striker who will last the course. Those trying to drive him away or anyone else need to wake up and really question their support for this great club
.

Forget the Ade issue sef. . . . . . .

What kind of joke indicates that someone that is living is dead;that is macabre.

That said,if Chamakh is the ONLY possible option Wenger is looking at to replace Ade,Ade had better stay then.

Mr Kay

u have a way of distorting my posts to suit ur own argumentative wiles undecided
It's not intentional Doc,and i am sorry if it seems so. cool

Song cant be benched by any player now[/b], its obvious, dude is going places, am talking of Denilson because that is the person that will suffer most if truly Melo comes . .
Of course if Song keeps the tempo in which he ended last season,he is UNTOUCHABLE but then let's not forget issues like injury and exhaustion. There is EPL with its rigour and pace,UCL,Carling cup and FA cup.I am sure there is enough space of all these players as the Arsenal as always been known for paper-thin squad.Lets not forget we will lose players to ACN too.As per Denilson, dude is efficient but we need more than that.Dynamism is KEY here.

that said, must I reiterate that in signing quality DMs, the build/frame and confidence of the player is equally important not just the skills he exhibits

I was just being particular about the future of our players -Ramsey, Randall and Merida, what do we really need them for - Carling Cup ?
Save for Ramsey and Gibbs,i will rather we loan these other players out to get more playing time and experience.Merida especially. And why not Carling cup?

like I said, we cant afford to start experimenting with new players in vantage positions like having Chamakh a striker when its obvious he has to go National assignments which will make him miss some games . . .

or where do we start from; on whom would we centre our attack forays on ?

an EDUARDO we arent sure of yet or a RVP we only can pray stays on his feet or even Walcott whose shoulders we need to pray doesnt give more problems undecided
Personally,i prefer a Ade with a clear head to Chamakh.  cool
