Cristalz,
No one has come forth with an explanation of why EPl clubs in other competitions are battered home.

Portsmouth, Boro and co are they EPL clubs and can their performance also be used to measure the strenght of the league?
And you are yet to elucidate why the Big Clubs in Bundesliga,La Liga et al have taken a back seat in UCL in the last 5 yrs. tongue

Rozzi and Cesc's return will be a big boost to our paper-thin squad and bring back some fluidity and creativity. These are lacking features which use to be the middle name of any Arsenal team of any grade or level. And i just feel the injury will do Cesc more world of good as he's having a much needed rest.I am looking forward more to next season.A team comprising of Cesc,Rozzi,Walcott,Arshavin and Nasri in the middle of the pack is a team to look forward to really.

Debo, you can bet on Chelsea dropping points today as they always have their way against the small teams and surely this game is 3 points for them.
Villa on other hand,i pray they stutter and hopefully we can capitalize on that tommorow.

I have always wanted to ask my fellow Gunners, how feasible is a RVP-Eduardo partnership, having in mind both are 2 lefties and tend to drift to the left in the 18.
I need your input on this one fellow gooners, and any reasonable football afficionado.

my friend you do not know who AW is?
huh

Seems you stay in the same flat with him and share match notes too tongue

why did he not buy a DM which we know is what Arsenal is lacking?AW do not beleive in instance saviour, The Fans voted for Arshavin and he is only doing it for the fans at least for once and for a change
In one breathe you claimed Arsene did not buy what "we"(i'll take it you are referring to the fans) all know he needs for his team which is a DM and in another you fantasized he bought what the fans "voted" for.Maybe you can shed more light to clear this contradictory fallacies as I can't understand why he shouldn't just heed to the clarion call of the fans since they are his advisers now huh

@bluediva

Try and back off already missus!
Your belligerance is in no doubt and it runs contrary to what you claimed to be;classy and moralistic
Do you know the number of peeps you have taken on today?
Yeah we fans of various clubs do the ribbing and the riling but you seem to be taking it a tad deeper.
The fact you claim"higher class" to everyone depicts a lot of complex and a empty barrel does just one thing and u knw just what it is.
This is a public forum thus try to take things in your stride rather than the seeming incorrigible irritant you are becoming .
Come off it already sis and act like a 1st lady for once.Even if its the 1st lady of a confused and shitty club like Chelski tongue

This guy's better be worth the wait, the saga, the tension and his onions. smiley
Few quick prayers/wishes
I pray Arshavin doesnt cop a 3 month injury in his first game and bring about an anti-climax.
May he not be plagued with ONLY assists, twistS and turnS features of the last person that donned the number 13 jersey BUT should have a great goal return with those abilities.
I also wish Rosicky,Walcott and Fab quicker recoveries than expected(3-4 weeks at most); grin
I wish Ebooooe an injury plagued rest of the season tongue
Lastly,i pray this will be the beginning of quality signings and trophy cupping at the Emirate

Gooners para siempre cool

Arsenal have signed Russian play maker, Andrei Arshavin, at last, in the closing stages of this Janurary's transfer window.

The deal has been frantically thrashed out in the last hours to bring Arshavin to North London, bringing an end to one of the longest and most frustrating transfer deals in living memory (I feel like I've said that before).

Ako,in response to your questions!

Van Der sa is older than Petre Cech(Van Der Saar is not any better than Cech,Cech's defence has been a let down this term so far)

Rio Ferdinand is older than John Terry(Rio has a "beast" of a defender as a partner in Vidic.Vidic for most part of United's season, does the hard and dirty job)

Gary Neville is 34 years old and he is older than Bosingwa(Are you insinuating Gary is better than Bosigwa on present form shocked)

@Debo,

As strange as it might seem I will want to ask, tell me one thing you thot LPS could have done today and did not do? I know now it is beginning to seem like another clap for LPS, the sooner we realize the problems I have been talking about, the better.

While LPS is not the best at his job, our players are shit. We just have a group of sluggish, old and spent, heavy-legged, overpaid motherfockers, that can't run with the ball, live on past glory and only look good on paper.
And until we begin a massive overhaul of the entire team, no manager, none at all can do zilch with this team.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Drogba came in today again. . . . I am waiting!!!!
The 2 London clubs are just at the 2 extreme of the divide. My team Arsenal parades "foetus" and everyone castigates Arsene,LPS on the other hand have sloppy senile players whose grey hair is hidden by dye grin Different strokes for different gaffers.Chelsea and Arsenal are two teams that have conspired to give Man U the EPL trophy,or so it seems angry I wish it could be different.

Nateevs, B T W,the embolded are CLASSICS and like the scummies will say,MINT grin

Summary of Hleb's goals in Arsenal jersey.

2005-2006 season----------------------3 goals
2006-2007 ,, -----------------------3 goals
2007-2008 ,, ----------------------4 goals

Not an enviable record as far as i am concerned for an attacking midfielder.I still insist i will take a Nasri that can assist, score and still young and on the rise.
Take all the goals C.R scored last season from him and leave him with his "assists" and see if that will take Man U anywhere.
Assist my foot! grin tongue

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by kaypumpin2(m): 12:30am On Feb 02, 2009
Hleb's better indeed. Forget silky skills and good ball control - Nasri delivers more end product that Hleb ever did. I am sure he would exceed Hleb's goal scoring feats before the end of this season, his DEBUT season at 21 in the premiership
From 2005 till the time he left Arsenal,i think Hleb scored a total of 10-11 goals. Why should i prefer such dude to Nasri?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by kaypumpin2(m): 12:19am On Feb 02, 2009
@Sauron
How has Nasri been better than Hleb?? Because he gets an odd goal in every 4 games??
Are u serious?? U gotta be kidding me!!! Is Nasri anything close to "creativity" in comparison to Hleb"??
Ask Cesc Fabregas who he would rather have in his team. . . . .The present bunch or the crop of players last season.
Nasri ko, Nostrils ni.
Mate,in as much as i am worried about some of Wenger's policy and i feel it could have been Nasri+ Hleb in the team and not Nasri in and Hleb out,i must say Nasri's contribution viz a viz his nascence in the team and EPL has been immense.
Hell he grabbed a brace against your team.
Creativity my foot!Hleb could be clueless sometimes when he gets into the 18 even after dribbling everybody and his goal returns for the team doesn't leave much to desire.
I can not ever forget Nasri's long pass to RVP prior to our goal against Liverpool this term at the emirate.Nasri can play one-two ball, has pace, dribbles, shoot(Hleb can not do that to save his life) et al.
Nostril? Why not Prince Nasri or Neville's nemesis

@ Debosky,

Letz not overflog this issue. . . . .
All we are saying is. . . . . .Arsenal's problems are all Wenger's fault.
A club as BIG as Arsenal should not be using injuries/financial constraints as an excuse to fail.
Villa are doing well with a tighter budget and Everton are not far behind too. Wenger should restructure his policy.[/quote]Of couse everyone, including the most astute supporter of Arsene's policy has in recent times been taken aback by some of his decisions. As a fan, sometimes it seems as if he derives pleasure from seeing things go wrong, but then,he's only human and bound to make mistakes. It's impossible for Wenger to go castigating and calling his players' bluff during match conference a la Mourhno's style, but unless you are not good at reading in between the line, you can feel and see that he feels let down by some of his players.

The once upon a time cool as ice Monsieur is a constant animated figure when matches are going on now.Throwing tantrums, slamming bottles, even wanting  to fight O'neil at one point. The depression is really rife

Let's just hope he's learnt his lesson.
