I am not totally sure but i dont think much is required in the account. If the person can put like 1m i think that is sufficient so far the person has gotten work permit to work in Ireland and the employer is sponsoring visa.

This is to encourage people still in the process of Join Family

1. Please if you are already married and you get a job in Ireland from Nigeria (similar to my situation) make sure you apply for Visa together with your family. In my case i applied alone to resume work in time as my wife's passport was not available. My wife later applied in late July 2022 and we had to wait for 6 months before her visa was finally approved

2. When applying for Join Family incase of people who have no choice than to go through the process just put it at the back of your mind that you will have to wait for at least 6 months. And make sure to include a lot of documents to prove your marriage to your spouse especially for someone who is already living in Ireland before getting married to someone in Nigeria. Evidences like photos of you and sponse (a lot of them) with family and friend, in occassions, your wedding photos, Introduction etc. Also add evidences of your communication with your sponse to show your marriage is still intact. Dont be stingy with evidences make sure you are able to satisy yourself with the requirement they ask you to provide to support your application.

FYI. My wife applied for Join Family late July 2022 and got her visa 1st week in February 2023.

If they don’t want to deal with families then scrap the whole category and focus on others. These people do not care about families, especially the ones that are from Nigeria and Ghana. For the system in Ireland to not see anything wrong in this procedure is quit unsettling. I can never advise any family to go through this emotional rollercoaster. Your family’s time with you is precious, every second of it. So if you have other countries in mind please look into them instead.

Hello how did you get this info? Do you have anyone whose decission has been processed. I am even trying to check on Linkedin if i could see any of their staff to talk to at least to tell me what is delaying this thing if they actually wait for a particular time before they open someones file because how can a country be processing thiers in few weeks and then our country own will be taking months. Agreed that timeline always state like ideal estimated time. How come for countries like India it takes about 1 month to process join family and then Critical skills Employment Permit holder are actually qualified for immediate processing which they stated should be within 6 months. It is Nigerian factor that is actually delaying this thing unneccessarily and it is very annoying. How do they expect someone to drop Passport self for 12 months like the person does not have any other travel to do.

To be very honest with you i think it is best you take your mind off Poland, i got my work permit resigned from my job in Nigeria since January 2022 and up till now i still receive those useless email every saturday of not being given appointment date. Thank God i got another job and i already moved to Ireland.

Before you can fill a full Visa application you have to fill a pre-visa application which is what she was referring to, once you fill that form and your work permit documents are genuine then within 24 hours you will get link to complete a full visa application.

I think the person that applied should probably check that he filled all the information from the work permit correctly

Hello Modupe, Good Afternoon. I got a job with a consulting firm in Poland and they have been on my work permit processing since 2nd week August (already tired cause my mind don comot this Naija)

I have seen some of your responses which are going to be useful for me in applying for Visa when the work permit finally come through.
However i have these few questions to ask 1) I got married recently can i apply for Visa with my wife

2) When you mention flight reservation does it mean i have to book and pay for my flight before applying for Visa
3) To leave in Warsaw how much will be good enough for a couple to live fine

Just keep calling and you should try and get at least 3 different phones calling at the same time.

i had similar experience at opebi last year they told me to pay 70k for training and exam 80k but because they are doing bonaza i can pay 40k for training if i pay that same day.
