Please I am looking for a reputable place to buy a brand new laptop for 200k or so in Ilorin. Is it possible? Or should I buy from Lagos and waybill to Ilorin?
What kind of spec can I get for 200k? I appreciate any insight.
omohayek: Isn't there an order of precedent in the Chadian government? Wasn't there a Vice President who could have taken over when Deby died? By what right does the military get to bypass any constitutional arrangements to install Deby's son in power, as if they were some sort of royal family?
All this senseless praise of Deby for his "anti islamist" credentials, all the while ignoring the man's typical African "big man" style of sitting 30 years in office without allowing any sensible opposition. Has it ever occurred to any of you Deby apologists that the Islamist movements against the Chadian government have actually been encouraged by the 30 years of totally unaccountable despotism led by Deby?
When the only form of opposition tolerated by a government is the religious kind, it's no surprise that they become the main challenge to any sit-tight regime: we've seen this all across the world from the Shah's Iran, to Syria under Assad, to Egypt under first Sadat and then Mubarak, and now, to the rebels under Deby. There probably wouldn't be any Islamists for Deby to fight in the first place if he'd bothered to foster a democratic state which enjoyed decent governance, just as Boko Haram wouldn't exist if successive Nigerian governments had concentrated on governing instead of negligent elites trading places to "chop" oil money in Abuja, leaving "their" people in places like Borno to fester in poverty and ignorance.
You get the scope. Guys like Derby make sure that islamists are all over and then point tonielwmists and say that if you remove us those mad people will take over.
They create the excuse to justify them from ruling. Same thing happened in Algeria that led to civil war after the Islamists actually won election and the generals cancelled it.
Derby was a mad man and his generals killed him to lower tension in the polity. His son will take over but will be controlled by his father's mates unless he can be sharp and break free.
Day169: I get your point bro but I believe it still doesn't justify the humongous price.
Oga we both know that Israeli drones is what we should have bought. Even Turkish drones would have been better.
Super Tucano is ground attack, but given the nature of the threat we are facing, it would make more sense for us to use Kamikaze drones because they make it easy for us to start spotting Boko bases and the drone can linger for up to 18 hours. Tucano cannot do that
dele31: Fingers crossed. I hope it will help win the fight against insurgency.
It won't. The Israelis already offered us Harop drone but northerners don't want Boko Haram to lose out so they cancelled it for Super Tucano that cannot idle or transmit data the way Harop can
Posts: whatever his plan is he show continue, good enough Bishop Oyedepo and Pa Enoch Adeboye has stronger ties and history to the state. The guy will learn the hard way
My guy forget. Kwara is finished.
Abdulrahman will introduce Sharia to Kwara around October 2022 and those that don't like it will rush back to Saraki looking for solution.
What they don't know is that once Sharia is introduced, it cannot be reversed. Anybody that tries to remove it will face serious wahala so it won't be reversed.
Even if Saraki comes back in 2023 he won't reverse that Sharia and it will continue. It is Offa people I pity the most.
Go and write it down, by December 2021 they will try to bring back hijab by force to Unilorin.
Posts: That's not all about what is actually happening. What is actually happening is political. Towards the ending of last year and early this year, it was obvious to the governor that majority of people are no longer interested in him nor want him again.
They made it obvious to him and he got the message loud and clear that party Stewart and the people are waiting for PDP to come back. This caused a fight that was reported in major news outlets.
Then he thought about ( or was negatively advised) what he could do that people will start talking about him positively which will make majority of kwarans deviate from criticizing him.. then he reverted to the old tactics... use religious sentiment to gain people's acceptance.
What he doesn't know is people are well aware of what he is doing and the religious communities most especially Muslims are not in support of what he is happening
THE CHRISTIANS AND THE MUSLIMS HAVE BEEN LIVING IN PEACE AND HARMONY BEFORE ABDULRAHMAM CAME
Kwara people fumbled when they elected this man. This is someone that has been living in Kaduna for years and is close to el-Rufai.
People should have known that religious war is all he can offer. It is Emir and el-Rufai that are advising him foolishly.
His final plan is to bring Sharia to Kwara in 2022 before election in 2023.
Also, the tune sounds somehow local. For something more standard let us look at the anthem of the First French Empire under Napoleon- Le Chant du Depart and start from there.
This sounds so shallow. While saying you are supporting GYB you are still saying after he enters we would find more sophisticated peoplemto take over from him.
This is a codes way of saying he is not sophisticated.
Whenever you are contracted to sell someone like GYB you need to dig deeper. The key thing you can focus on packaging is his acceptability to different zones, then follow up with cooked up stories of developmental ideology.
For how long have Yoruba fish, snail and poultry farmers been languishing without any form on support.
Now they are calling emergency meeting and posting it on Twitter. Imagine the lack of seriousness. Poultry farmers associations have begged for grant and cheap loan but no road.
The is something they should have started as soon as Amotekun was created to exert economic pressure on the Fulani but these useless guys won't do that one.
DasaintHope: That single act of his boosted the morale of my SK peeps especially zango kataf to stand up on their toes, and defend themselves. Even till today if not for that Short Oppressive midget a.k.a Hell-rufai, the Hausa's know SK always give them measure for measure. Sadly, The Futa Jalon He goat and his Brother in Aso rock are hell bent on their ethnic cleansing agenda.
A lot of us in other states were really inspired. His bravery birthed many states in Nigeria as he gave them the guts to fight for their rights. The last state creation was actually due to him giving people morale to stand up.
It is because of politics that today these states don't want to celebrate him. They used his sacrifice to get state but are scared of Fulani people so they can't hail him publicly.
El-Rufai is a vicious man and has always been. Atiku's biggest mistake was giving this guy space to enter politics. That man is evil.
DasaintHope: Zamani Lekwot happens to be my God father. Ironically after all thus years El rufai and some fucking Northerners are still clamoring for his head. God in heaven knows if I were in his shoes, I won't sit back and watch my people treated like filth. You're right on your observation though, cos am yet to see a Commodore in NN, or equivalent from other services, who hails from SK. God help my people.
Wow. You are General Lekwot's God son? Nairaland is a really popular place o.
General Lekwot did what he had to do to save his people. Even IBB had to say he would have done the same if he was in the General's shoes. No normal person would allow what was happening to continue.
SK continue to resist and have refused to give the KD Mafia any breathing space. El-Rufai will still keep shouting because they know that the General's example was a big setback for them.
DasaintHope: You strike me as a Northern Christian, with a vast knowledge of the Northern Region. I also happen to be a Christian from southern Kaduna. You right man, Hausa's immigrating from Kano and Jigawa to dilute our population. sadly this peeps cheat us based on qouta system. Even in the Military, I have been denied certain appointments and postings due to me being from SK
Ever since Gen. Zamani Lekwot, SK has been in Army black book. They don't trust you guys again. The General saved SK and they just can't forget him like that.
victorian: There was one that happened In mushin.. The DPO, hid on top of one upstairs and was spraying protesters Bullets. Many died while some boiz were watching him from afar. Immediately his bullets finished! Come and see how the remaining boiz alive rushed to the building. Drag the DPO, downstairs, beat him blue blqck with hammer and all sorts of iron. After beating him and tied him to a moving keke, he was dragged on the rough roads, his uniform torn, as his body was so bloody..after then they stopped and butchered him into pieces with dagger and cutlass . The crowd was so angry with him.. After butchering him and throwing his body in a cart.
The mob then head straight to his home to wipe out his family, cos he lives around the area. If not for timely interventions of neighbors living in his home. They would have killed his family and burn down the house.
And I ask this question? Why kill and spray bullets on innocent people protesting in his neighborhood? What kind of evil spirit took over his memory? I shudder when I watched the video online.
LovesickG: Hmm. Well he was the one doing the begging. I literally begged mine over faults I didn't commit. He thinks I sleep with any guy I talk to, he checks my Facebook messages and questions me on every guy I've chatted with. I have never cheated nor thought of cheating on him. He told me that he'll forgive my alleged cheating if I sleep with any guy while he watches via WhatsApp video call, and that's the only condition to continue our relationship. I seriously considered it but I just couldn't, the very thought makes me sick. I told him I couldn't and he broke up with me and blocked me on Whatsapp. He said I'll come begging and crying back to him and by then, he'll insist I sleep with two guys while he watches.
It wont be easy but you better run. If you dont run, last last that guy will be calling boys to skeep with you live while he sef joins in.
But by then you wont be able to run because you will be in too deep. a word is enough for the wise. Don't ask me how I know
Emilokoiyawon: Good he is exposing the bad governance - but he should be honest to say it has been going on for at least 5 decades. Its not that bad governance started yesterday.
His approach to Buhari's speech is too emotional. Rather he should be more tactical. He has an opportunity to directly speak to Buhari through CNN but he failed. He could have given the present a timeline for the prosecution of SARS offenders etc. He was not prepared for this interview.
He was but his goals are not your own goals. He wants to butress his own personal brand. He is there to generate sympathy for himself and to increase his status as a "pro democracy" artist.
He is not here to strategically engage with Buhari. He has no need for that. SARS is extremely unlikely to carry him. But if he can have this interview and look presentable, sound posh enough, they will be calling him from time to time on Nigerian issues.
Just like that he will become a regular CNN contributor and before long he will be giving lectures at Chatham House and Brookings Institute. If he is not already an American citizen, he can easily file asylum claim and they will process it.
I just don't trust people Sha so maybe that is why I am seeing it like this.
This thing called peaceful protest is no longer funny, this protest have long been hijacked by people who really want the downfall of these country.
You can't keep destroying private peoples property that sweat legitimately to build so that you and I can enjoy and call it a peaceful protest.
It is high time these people retreat from these dangerous steps or destroy what their unborn generation would enjoy years to come.
1. You called yourself educated youth and you keep destroying private properties
2. You called yourself educated youth and you keep stealing people property.
3. You called yourself educated youth and you keep looking for ways to burgled people valuables.
4. You called yourself educated youth and you destroyed the peaceful protest.
We should desist from all these nonsense if you are part of the people that soiled the real peaceful protest to something else.
You are causing alot of damages to Nigeria in international world
These ones doing this never claimed to be educated. These are the underclass. The lumpenproletariat.
They are also youth but they are not on Twitter or nairaland. Is it Mushin boys you think send any speech?
The mistake the children of the middle class made is the same one that they made in Iran. They thought that the children of the underclass are with them. What they don't know is that those children of the underclass hate the middle class more because they see those middle class children everyday.
Do you know how youth corpers treat other youths that didn't go to school at their PPA? You think those buys don't know how tmthe children of the middle class use their babes and bounce?
This news reignited memories from my remedial days at Fufu in Kwara State(Unilorin). It was crazy, a foolish act that could have gone wrong in every sense.
Me and my partner in crime decided to steal a full grown fowl belonging to some Fulani community in the village.
We was caught in the act and was giving a hot chase. We ran for our lives with every calorie of energy in us. We most likely could have been killed by those marauders in the bush. We was very lucky.
The Yoruba elders in the village came to our rescue as the Fulani marauders woundnt give in, they wanted the two boys. They had the other guy clothes and promised to do something fetish against him. My guy was stricken with fear for a very long time.
Adventures upon adventures in those six months at Fufu LGA. I should open a thread on it.
One of my good friends also did remifials at Fufu LGA. He was in the first set to go there so you can imagine how rugged that area was as at then. Please if you open that that thread let me know. The stories that he told me eh? I remember I would just be shaking my head.

StagethemTVee: While some are showing off and making noise with spraying of notes, watch the late Senator Buruji Kashamu calmly and noiselessly spraying bundles of money on King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall and a lady. Na man you be Senator. May your good deeds speak for you.
