CelebritiesRe: Richard Quest In Nigeria: Bisi Alimi Slams Nigerians Over His Heroic Welcome by Kc3000:
Maybe the spirits in his village are pursuing him, because the average Nigerian doesn't care if he exists or not. This desperate dude is really overstating his relevance. Bobrisky and Derenle are still parading around and nobody has killed them. People are trying to put food on their tables, so u can stop fooling yourself that people are after you. Achieve something tangible, besides flaunting your homosexuality, and you'll be duly recognized too.

Just be a man without any apologies, let your balls hang!! Don't ever compromise yourself for anyone, man or woman...if they've earned your love, then and only then can they have it. Too many dudes have been miseducated to grovel before ladies just to woo them for sex, consequently making themselves available for manipulation and disrespect. Get some self-respect and dignity. Man up!

Jehovah is your name, Mighty Warrior, Great in battle...I thank you my Father for everything you have done and continue to do in my life. With just a word of prayer, you come to my rescue, You have proven over and over that you're God above all, and I can testify without any doubt that He who watches over Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers. Your love is greater than all the pleasures and riches of this world, Your peace passes all understanding...accept my praise oh Lord, for in Jesus name I pray.

Hug the truth
So, if I grab a couple of boys today in Owerri, catch the nearest yoruba man around and flog him senseless, would I now go around bragging of my exploits as a mark of courage? Quite frankly, it would be a shameful and cowardly display on my part.
RomanceRe: Ladies, How Do You Decline Giving Guys Your Contact? by Kc3000: 7:55am On Apr 06, 2017
Most guys can handle rejection, it's part of the terrain of asking women out. You ain't the first or the only chick he's asking out. So, if you're not interested, tell the guy without being rude or insulting.
On the other hand, women cannot handle rejection oh! Turn a chick down and she'll start acting like you physically stabbed her...she'll almost kill you with evil looks whenever she sees you.

EducationRe: 7 Most Prominent Public Secondary Schools In Nigeria And Their Famous Alumni PIX by Kc3000:
samonak:
what about NMS, Zaria? ex-boys in the house can I get a witness?
I'm not even sure if NMS should be included in such comparisons, given it's unique status. As a premier institution of the Nigerian Army, its alumni(Exboys) were certain to feature prominently in the Nigerian political landscape given how long the military held on to power in Nigeria. At a point in the IBB regime, it was observed that a good majority of the military administrators were Exboys of NMS(good times grin grin wink). It's not possible for me to provide an exhaustive list of notable Exboys, but some of the names that come to mind include the likes of Generals Salihu Ibrahim, Tunde Idiagbon, Emeka Omeruah, Zamani Lekwot, Emmanuel Acholonu, Isaac Areola, Herbert Obi Eze, Joseph Garba, John Shagaya, John Inienger, JT Useni, David Mark, Paul Omeruo, IBM Haruna, Buba Marwa, Abdul One Mohammed, Alexander Ogomudia, Abdulkarim Adisa, Emmanuel Ikwue, Yohanna Madaki, Raji Rasaki, Tanko Ayuba, Ike Nwosu, Amadi Ikwechegh, Tunde Ogbeha, Col Tony Nyiam...way too many to recollect at this moment. I believe the current Chief of Defense staff Gen Abayomi Olonisakin is also an Exboy. It's also a testament to the undeniable excellence of Exboys that the likes of OBJ, IBB and Abacha whom did not attend NMS all sent their sons to NMS to get some of that awesome training!

In case you are thinking 'what a bunch of coup plotters', we also gave you all Dbanj...so we sabi dance too grin grin

MaziOmenuko:
Why does the NA send such bright talents to the battle field? there are some battles ment for footsoldiers, does every member of the NA have to carry weapon or deployed to warfronts?
Well, as I read he was the best cadet in his course, I suspected rightly that he might be an Ex-Boy of NMS. Too many brilliant Ex-Boys have died in this fight against Boko Haram. To your question, of course officers deploy with the other ranks for battle. Officers provide leadership(by example), you can't just sit in garrison and order your troops into battle. There's no quicker way to lose the respect of your troops than displaying a lack of courage and leading from afar. When the chips are down, the best leaders are usually found in the trenches with their troops. These are the ones that command the most respect and loyalty.

God please don't let this wonderful thread die, it's been a great blessing to me and many others, I suppose. This is my first post here, but I can't even say how many hours I've spent mulling over the powerful testimonies and teachings here. It's been a wonderful education thus far. I'm hoping this hiatus is not because of the little friction in the last few posts. It doesn't matter who one thinks is in error, we are all human, and unlike God, we are ALL prone to errors. Even great men of God in the Bible had missteps. Remember, love conquers all. So, let's keep this thing going to the glory of God. Love you all.

Why are some people so convinced that these Pastors are infallible? Abeg una dey even read the Bible una dey carry up and down? I thought most of you would have learnt from all the fake predictions they make every year, most of which don't materialize before they unleash more the next year.

I'm not even saying the dude is guilty of the accusations but it won't shock me. If this lady doubled down and made these claims after the harassment and intimidation she just endured, then I expect her to go ahead and provide some proof of money transferred to her and the nude pictures.

Of course, "Daddy G.O" would say he was just being charitable and offering financial help. As for the nudes, he'll offer the standard response...HACKERs from hell are at work

PoliticsRe: Igbo Vs Yoruba In DSS Custody by Kc3000:
naijaking1:
How about FFK? He has really shown Igbo spirit while in detention.
Fayose too, he is conducting himself very well, making Igbos proud.
Don't forget Wole Soyinka, and Tai Solarin who went to jail for Biafra, and most of all Fajuyi---my idol of all times, who gave his life for something he strongly believed in.
Anyway the joke is noted, but we must put it in broader perspective!
Wole Soyinka did not support Biafra. According to Soyinka himself, a group of Nigerian writers gathered and decided to send a representative to Biafra to try to convince their colleagues over there to drop the Biafran agenda. A northerner volunteered to go, but Soyinka objected to that, stating that it might not be safe for the northerner in Biafra. So, Soyinka chose to go. He recalled that he was being called a saboteur by some Biafran soldiers, but he was allowed to navigate his way to Enugu, where he met up with his good friend Christopher Okigbo. Of course, Okigbo was committed to the fulfillment of Biafra...Soyinka left Biafra and returned to Nigeria where he was arrested and thrown in jail. That was the extent of his involvement with Biafra, according to Soyinka.

Fajuyi was killed for his involvement in the Jan 15 "Igbo" coup. The northerners were aware of his involvement and he was marked for death. I believe Ademoyega, who was also involved in the same coup details Fajuyi's involvement in his book. Ironsi's ADC Lt. Nwankwo, who witnessed and survived the ordeal wrote about it and never even suggests any nonsense of Fajuyi insisting on dying with Ironsi. Northern officers involved in the execution have said no such thing either.

These are the facts, not fairy tales. Why people choose to console themselves with fallacies, I will never know.

Once upon a time, Buhari tried to kidnap Umar Dikko from London and smuggle him into Nigeria. For those that really want him back, it might be time to do the needful.
PoliticsRe: Femi Adesina: "I Spoke With President Buhari Today" by Kc3000:
Adesina has a knack for misfiring every time he opens his trap. He's absolutely tactless in his approach to defending the image and policies of his principal. In his warped mode of reasoning, Nigerians are supposed to be elated that Buhari called to check on Adesina and his family, and to thank him for blindly defending him, even in the absence of evidence, as Adesina admits he had no personal communication with Buhari for over a month. Not even a word of concern for the well-being of Nigerians, no words of encouragement and hope for the suffering and puzzled masses. Just a pointless conversation between one selfish oaf and another.

cadets usually scale from one balcony to another not minding the height. it also very slim nd as such easy to miss a step. dere re three possible scenarios to Alex death.
1. his room was locked nd d only way in was going thru d balcony of d next room
2. he was dodging being parked from his room( asin culpritship)
3. he was pushed, which is not possible cos we re humans with feelings.
only God nd him knows wat happened dat day, d only tin we heard was d sound of his skull hiting d slab in alpha. mehn d site was bad
That is quite unfortunate. A lot of high risk maneuvers are undertaken in the course of dodging. I also think it's unlikely that someone pushed him, but I've also learnt not to put anything past human beings. May he rest in peace.

Combachooo!!! We liked people like you in NMS, job is always there to be served so let's get the party started sooner than later! The pathetic thing is that some of the more terrifying seniors, devils in human skin, typically couldn't handle much punishment themselves.
Well, I can't help but wonder how the cadet fell to his unfortunate death. I mean, people just don't walk off a balcony unless they are intoxicated, sleepwalking, pushed off etc. What sent this young man over? Was he serving job when he plunged to his death? If you do not have the answers, or you are not at liberty to elaborate, I understand.

I'm rather shocked at the way you reason. Why wouldn't the President address the nation, put an end to the unrest, and restore the people's faith in the stability of the government? He's a public servant, and the people have a right to know of his whereabouts and his ability to perform the duties for which he was elected.

Lol...who would stop them? Your SSS doesn't have tanks and can't withstand that level of firepower. The north is terrified of losing power like they did with the death of Yaradua, and might just be desperate enough to pull any stunt. Osinbajo is a sitting duck.
PoliticsRe: Senators Walk Out On Hamid Ali, Customs Boss During A Meeting (pics) by Kc3000: 7:25am On Feb 03, 2017
I'm assuming the laws of the land permit the president to appoint him the CG, but I don't think it'll be proper for him to wear the Customs uniform. He's not a career customs officer, he did not rise through the ranks, and having been in uniform myself, I can assure you it won't sit well with those who earned those ranks. You can be appointed to a position, but ranks and even the right to wear a uniform is earned.
However, there's no reason he should have operated for this long without a board. Being an outsider, he needs the input of the career officers more than anyone else. A one man show in such an important national agency is typical of the dysfunctional Buhari led government.

If he detained them, you simpletons would still come here and cry that Ojukwu held them hostage. Maybe Ojukwu should have commissioned a new bombproof mathematics section at UNN so that Adeboye would complete his degree while the war was raging. Bia, Mr. Pastor you better respect yourself.
