Outbursts of religious riots in northern Nigeria are targeted at Christians...Igbo, yeriba, Efik, Ijaw etc. The rampaging northern muslim doesn't give a rat's behind which tribe you belong to. Typically, the Igbo are the only ones with enough gumption to retaliate in kind in their own territory. Of course, the yeriba love to delude themselves that the Hausa and Igbo are at it again, while disregarding their own people that are killed.

My brother, please know these are men of God. Let me share the testimony I heard in church today with you. A woman left Living Faith Chuch for years. Her son, who is almost 12 years later started getting sick to the extent that he became deaf. She attended this liberation night service on Friday where Dr Copeland mentioned her case and later when Bishop Oyedepo was preaching, he mentioned the same case. She got home after the service and, in the afternoon yesterday she discovered that her son was responding to their conversation. The boy confirmed he could hear them. And since yesterday the boy could now hear. She came to church today with the boy. This happened in Living Faith Church Byazhin, Kubwa, Abuja.

I appreciate your kind words. Jesus heals, not Oyedepo or anyone else. I've also prayed and recieved healing for my own ailments...I take no credit for it, I prayed in faith and God answered at His own time. So, if the boy you talked about did not get healed that day, would you then declare that Copeland and Oyedepo are imposters? Hope you can see the danger in hinging your faith on signs and wonders. Moreover, I encourage you to put your faith directly in Jesus Christ and not in any so-called man of God.

Of course, Oyedepo would be found fraternizing with Copeland, his American counterpart in the fraudulent gospel of riches. These are the ones that have corrupted Jesus' gospel of salvation, and replaced it with a gospel of prosperity. These money-grabbers have so exalted themselves above their congregations that nothing they do or say can be called into question. Any efficient money-grabber is a self proclaimed 'man of God' that declares himself to be beyond reproach, and has the sole authority to condemn to hell any wayward sheep that dares to question his methods. Copeland's $6.3 million dollar Texas mansion and $20 million jet pales in comparison to Oyedepo's loot, but the methods are eerily similar across the board in the lucrative business of prosperity gospel.

A few years ago, I came across a narrative, a confession of sorts, by a reformed Boko Haram leader. He was not captured by any human being, but had been apprehended by the Spirit of God...he was a Pastor somewhere in the south at the time. He gave a very detailed account of his involvement in various Islamic uprisings in Nigeria going back to the 80's. He spoke of their activities being sponsored by the likes of IBB, Buhari, and other bigwigs in the north. They received military uniforms and weapons, and he even trained in Libya. They had received support from the Nigerian army in some of their operations, and as far as the fellow was concerned the entire Nigerian military is party to the Islamic agenda.
I examined his words with a trained eye and understood that these were not mere fabrications. The threat is real, and the Islamists understand that they can continue to hold Nigerians hostage by simply controlling the military and paramilitary forces. This would be the last thing they'll relinquish in Nigeria. Somehow, many Nigerians are comfortable with this arrangement, they'll rather attack frustrated Igbo youths who want out of this colonial contraption of Babel(to borrow a phrase from the great Pazienza).

Now, go and look up what Lt. Walbe, one of the northern officers that executed Fajuyi had to say. He made it clear that Fajuyi was one of their targets because of his involvement in the Jan 15th coup. If you need more, go read up on what Flight Lt. Nwankwo(Ironsi's ADC), who was there and survived the ordeal has to say.These are two first hand accounts from two soldiers that were directly involved, and they completely rubbish your fairy tales.

Besides your beer parlour jists, can you provide any supporting account from any of the people that participated in that episode? If you must know the truth, Fajuyi was very scared and begged for his life. I do not hold it against him, as he was confronted by an impending violent death.

When 'born to rule' started to rear it's ugly head in Nigeria, some equally crazy guy named Nzeogwu went directly to its source and silenced it. For his efforts, the rest of the south joined the 'born to rule' and it's foreign allies to wage war against the Igbo. Stupidly and gleefully, they joined in the destruction of any hope of resistance to 'born to rule'. Yes, the war was fought and won in Biafra, but essentially the entire south was defeated. Born to rule has had a free rein ever since.

Anyone that tells you Soyinka supported Biafra is a liar. I've heard Soyinka himself talk of his involvement with Biafra. He went to Biafra on behalf of a group of Nigerian writers to convince their colleagues in Biafra to drop the Biafra agenda. He met with Christopher Okigbo in Enugu and then returned to Nigeria. The Nigerian government was angry at him for visiting Biafra and jailed him. That was the extent of Soyinka's involvement in Biafra, as expressed by the man himself.

You have to be careful with the fantastic nonsense you ingest from revisionist, they repeat their lies till they start to believe it. They'll tell you the same fairy tale of Fajuyi insisting to die with Ironsi, but facts gleaned from the participants and witnesses of the execution, suggest that Fajuyi was clearly targeted for execution because of his involvement in the January 15th coup.

I'm not even sure if NMS should be included in such comparisons, given it's unique status. As a premier institution of the Nigerian Army, its alumni(Exboys) were certain to feature prominently in the Nigerian political landscape given how long the military held on to power in Nigeria. At a point in the IBB regime, it was observed that a good majority of the military administrators were Exboys of NMS(good times grin

It's not possible for me to provide an exhaustive list of notable Exboys, but some of the names that come to mind include the likes of Generals Salihu Ibrahim, Tunde Idiagbon, Emeka Omeruah, Zamani Lekwot, Emmanuel Acholonu, Isaac Areola, Herbert Obi Eze, Joseph Garba, John Shagaya, John Inienger, JT Useni, David Mark, Paul Omeruo, IBM Haruna, Buba Marwa, Abdul One Mohammed, Alexander Ogomudia, Abdulkarim Adisa, Emmanuel Ikwue, Yohanna Madaki, Raji Rasaki, Tanko Ayuba, Ike Nwosu, Amadi Ikwechegh, Tunde Ogbeha, Col Tony Nyiam...way too many to recollect at this moment. I believe the current Chief of Defense staff Gen Abayomi Olonisakin is also an Exboy. It's also a testament to the undeniable excellence of Exboys that the likes of OBJ, IBB and Abacha whom did not attend NMS all sent their sons to NMS to get some of that awesome training!
