Bros you even forgot that Nigeria relinquishes about 40% of its oil revenue to oil companies. |

So Fashola is not a 'magician?' Where is Tinubu the 'yahoo-yahoo' politician, oya come and tell your boy to resign. |
Lots of revisionist crap here. Anything good that came out of the regime they ascribe to Tunde Idiagbon, but every evil of the administration is assigned to Muhammadu Buhari. Not a fan of Buhari by any stretch, but he was never the spineless oaf some people try to make him out to be. |

My knees almost buckled when Buhari told the interviewer "you know more about our budget than I do". The Dulardhino was in true form, I must confess. |
This is a bad joke. Nobody is working in this administration, including Buhari and Osinbade. No need to pick on a few. |
Hahaaaa Ebenezar don buy job! This brings back many not-so-fond memories of the Nigerian Military School. I testify that the human body is very much capable of enduring extreme circumstances, once the mind has been trained, from experience, to cope with such suffering. Some would say 'zero your mind'. Once the crap hits the fan, and you find yourself 'serving job', you quickly zero your mind and take on the challenge, with one comforting thought ; at some point, this hellish ordeal must come to an end. Every boy-soldier of the NMS of yore could easily find this default mode and endure whatever circumstances they were confronted with. I once found myself serving job from around 4am on a Sunday morning till I saw Christian boys returning from service, which had to be around 11am-12noon. Hunching turned to crawling at a super-human pace as my legs were completely 'done', while my tormentors walked behind me at a steady pace that wouldn't permit me a seconds' rest...the skin on both of my elbows and knees were completely peeled off, as body and ground did battle for what seemed like an eternity. Just another day in NMS. Ebenezer would be just fine, the theatrics are part of her own way of coping with the stress she's going through. With time, that neck would be so strong that she'll be planting for 2-3hrs straight without blinking . Believe me, in military organizations across the globe, soldiers in training are made to endure a lot of stress, even though I still think a lot of unnecessary brutality is prevalent in the Nigerian Army training institutions. There is a need to adjust the culture, but without compromising the standard of training. |
Ponponkon:Wow, I'm speechless. To know that Mr. Arisa is finally getting the assistance he needs, thanks to Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, and that I played a little part in making this happen really warms my heart. Twice I aborted my effort of leaving the above message for Ponponkon, as I convinced myself to mind my own business and not bother someone I have no personal relationship with. I carried on with something else, but the urge to send this message to Ponponkon just wouldn't go away, so I had to bite the bullet and went pleading for someone that I don't even know. I'm so glad I did the right thing, and I'm even more grateful to Ponponkon for not ignoring my message but speedily channeling it up to our governor. From what I've observed and heard about Gov. Ikpeazu, I was convinced he'll step up, and he did not disappoint!!! God bless Paul Arisa and grant him a full recovery. God Bless our able governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, and the good people of Abia state. |
Ponponkon Nwoko ike, I came across something on Linda Ikeji's blog that I wanted to draw your attention to. There's a young man by the name of Paul Arisa who is suffering from Hodgkin's lymphoma, which has not responded to chemotherapy. The tumor has completely taken over his neck region and deformed his face(from the posted before and after pictures). I believe he's an indigene of Abia state(an ABSU graduate, currently residing in Aba) and he's desperately in need of about 2 million naira to pursue radiation therapy. I don't know the dude from Adam, I just came across the story and felt someone must have exerted a lot of effort to get Linda Ikeji to feature his story, due to the desperation of the situation. I know our amiable governor has no obligation to intervene on such personal matters, but I think it would be a nice gesture if he steps in to assist the young fellow. These are the little things, I believe, that help people realize there's a government in place that truly cares for them. Biko, ta anyi gbatara onye na oso enyem aka. Of course, I expect the information posted to be verified before soliciting the governor for any assistance...I would have taken it upon myself to verify the information if I was in the country(a tumor of that size cannot be missed). Here's the link for the story on LIB, which also has some contact information attached at the bottom: http://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2016/02/paul-arisa-needs-our-help.html#more NB: I'm so sorry to burden you with this, just had to take the chance for the young man's sake. |

Che che che Abia kwenu!!!!! We just crushed the competition, but it's nothing new. We're silent achievers on this side. I'll let ndi ofe get back to their wailing and agonizing over Igbo achievement, even though I think it's misguided and directed at the wrong people. They should be asking themselves how students in war torn Borno state managed to perform better than the likes of Osun and Oyo states. |
Ponponkon:Hahahaaa........Oti mbu mkpakara mmadu, alughara hwe! |
Ponponkon: Dede nne I ga di iji ochi meruo mmadu ahu otu ehi. |
Breaking news...... Alex Oti appeals to sharia court. |
Thank you Jesus! |
irunooboo: Yeah, Yorubas built Lagos just like the Gwaris built Abuja. One day, they'll also ask everyone to leave Abuja for them. |
The most important thing one should know about Alex Otti is that he aided TA Orji in looting Abia state silly. Apparently, he wasn't satisfied with that arrangement and wants to use Abia State funds to land on Forbes list like his other pal Orji Uzor Kalu. It's amazing seeing some folks trying to tarnish the Ngwa image with all sorts of unfounded stories, but same people would turn around and cry foul when other Nigerians extend the same treatment to Igbos in general. It's very entertaining. |
Everlasting Father, words cannot describe your goodness. I praise Your Holy Name. |
menix:Nothing that Jesus cannot fix. Humble yourself before God, go into a season of earnest and desperate prayer with God. Many of us have been there with addiction(drugs, liquor, pornography, etc) and despite ones best efforts to quit, it absolutely took divine intervention for the vicious cycle to be broken. Many refuse to acknowledge that they are living in bondage, some are in denial, while others have simply submitted to their fate. Please, you have to aggressively seek God while you still can. That you are afraid of where you are heading is in a sense a good thing...you've not completely gone numb. The opportunity is still here to rewrite the story of your life. The enemy is likely telling you that you've gone too far, too lost, too damaged, too weak, not good enough for God....nothing could be farther from the truth, God cannot wait to have you back, He can't wait to embrace you, to heal you, to do things with you that He ordained from the beginning of time, and to write your name in the book of life. Believe it, you can regain control of your life today and get off that highway to hell if you accept Jesus into your life as your Lord and savior. Get to praying and do not stop praying till you make a breakthrough and God answers your prayer. Burdens are lifted at Calvary, but remember to seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. God bless you. |
Wonderful. God also speaks through people to other people. He compelled you to make this post so that I(and others) could come here tonight, to be reassured and blessed by these scriptures. I've grown to love God, nothing close to the perfect love He has for us all, but I yearn to be drawn closer to Him. He is God above all things, creator of the infinite universe, yet He listens, speaks and attends to all our individual needs and prayers. I am so glad that God is gracious enough to commune with us in prayer through His Son and Our Savior Jesus Christ, to bestow that peace that passes all understanding, and to impact His unmistakable, loving Spirit on us when we draw nearer to Him. It is most reassuring to be in His holy presence, to feel all burdens lifted from our lives, even in a tumultuous world. It is nothing short of miraculous! It's my earnest prayer that we are steadfast in our faith till the very end. We are only a prayer away from the Father, and we MUST continually seek Him in prayer, and He will ALWAYS abide with us. God bless you. |
What is Sanni Yerima doing as number one when Obasanjo is still alive? List is null and void without Obasanjo. |
Entertainers can get away with loud outfits. I've seen worse. |
Well, it serves no purpose anymore. The point is to declare your assets BEFORE assuming office. 2 months is more than enough time to acquire assets fraudulently in Nigerian government, for anyone with the intention to do so. |
siaco:I was about to say the same thing. The priest is clearly a con artist, he set up the whole thing to show that he's a performer. |
Lmao. . .look at this Ota imb.ecile o. We never blame you finish for your own monumental failures, but you dey try hide behind Goodluck Jonathan. I guess his senile mind tells him that if he keeps screaming GEJ we might forget that he remains the embodiment of all that is wrong with Nigeria. GEJ graciously bowed out of power after 6 years to the admiration of all, but this idiat, after ruling Nigeria for 11 years had to be dragged out of Aso Rock by his agbada, as he sought an unconstitutional 3rd term. I'll always salute that great African hero that ambushed Obasanjo at the Lagos airport and unleashed a hailstorm of punches and kicks before security operatives got to him. Such was the level of disgust and resentment Nigerians harbored towards Obasanjo for squandering a golden opportunity to get things right in Nigeria. |

Boyz are going to Yankee. . .why una dey hate? If you can avoid being ra.ped by Bubba and the Aryan brotherhood, or getting stabbed by DeShawn and the C-block Bloods, it's not a bad set up. Stay strong boyz! |
sukkot:Bro, many things on wikipedia are baseless and can be edited by anyone with internet access. I've never heard anyone with some authority who witnessed the episode support that tale, so it remains just a rumor to me no matter how many times it's recycled. People still run around with the story of how Fajuyi insisted on dying with Ironsi, yet no one directly involved with that episode has ever given credence to that story. Facts suggest that he never had the option to choose his fate. |
sukkot:Is Buhari more disciplined than Idiagbon who was part of the coup? Major Idowu Bamidele got wind of the 1983 coup plot and took it up with his chain of command to Buhari who was the GOC of the 3rd Div, and was subsequently arrested and detained for two weeks till the coup was executed, on Buhari's orders. The death of Brigadier Bako(I believe he was the only casualty) cannot be used to exempt Buhari from the coup plot. Maj Jokolo rtd (Buhari's ADC and former Emir of Gwandu) disclosed that their(Buhari led group) merged with the IBB group, which was also plotting a coup about the same time, and sidelined a third plot being led by one Maj. Joseph Jetawo. Many participants in a coup plot may not have an active role, but are well aware of the plot, provide logistics, do their part to conceal the plot, provide information and so forth. In the very least, Buhari was involved at this level. I understand that sometimes coup plotters would bequeath power to a senior officer that they believe holds similar principles, but if the senior officer is aware of the coup plot before it is executed and does nothing to quell it, you better believe he has become a part of the plot. In Buhari's case, Major Bamidele's ordeal gives us at least one known instance of Buhari acting in support of the 1983 coup plot. |
sukkot:Many have heard that unsubstantiated beer parlor jist. |
