PoliticsRe: Abia Governorship Election Result Stalemated by Kc3000:
slap1:
I beg to differ at the bolded. We've heard it before. The Chinese have a saying, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me".

From what you have written so far, I can safely deduce that you are more interested in the so-called disenfranchisment of Ngwa people than the collective will of the electorates. There is no guarantee that Ikpeazu won't be a stooge, no, there isn't. If you have lived in Aba for these past few years, you would easily feel the pulse of the people and understand their agitations. T. A is a complete failure and the fact he clearly handpicked Okezie is a huge, conspicuous dent on his ( Okezie's) candidature.

As it is, Orji is the object of public opprobrium in Aba; no one speaks good of him. Speaking for myself (and a good number of Abians, I believe), I don't hate Dr. Okezie (I genuinely admire his academic background), but Ochendo's state-wide hatred has rubbed off on him, negatively. A vote for Okezie is seen as a vote for T. A Orji and you honestly can't blame the people for that.

Abians have languished in the gutters of political godfatherism and its concomitant backwardness that any other option, no matter how uncertain, is seen as messianic.
Fool you once? When has a governor in Abia state ever been a stooge for his predecessor? Even Orji Kalu after all he did with and for TA Orji couldn't achieve the feat. Perhaps, folks who do not know how Ikpeazu emerged as the PDP flag-bearer might have their reservations. . .the Ngwa political structure probed their candidates, selected Ikpeazu and sought TA's support for his candidacy. TA had someone else in mind, but had to make the compromise as he needed their support to sail through to the senate(half of his constituency is Ngwa). Among those seeking TA's support at this point was non other than Alex Otti, but he was fraudulently masquerading as an Ngwa and wouldn't do. Was he in line to be TA's stooge?

If your grouse is with the political party, be rest assured that Nigerian politicians do not perform based on their party affiliations. TA came into power through PPA, moved to APGA and then to PDP. . .at every point he was a non-performer. Alex Otti only decamped to APGA when he lost the PDP nomination, and I'm certain he did not shed his skin with the transition. He's the same character he was in PDP.

The Ngwa are part of the electorate, there is no collective will of the electorate without them. Their aspirations and desires are no less important than that of anyone else in the state. As stated earlier, we will not tolerate the hateful attempts to disenfranchise the Ngwa by all sorts of underhanded schemes, including voiding of votes in Ngwa territories. The decision to cede the governorship to the Ngwa was not reached on a whim, but was made a long time ago in the interest of equity and fair play. After the tenures of Ogbannaya Onu and Orji Kalu, both from Abia North at the time, most expected the governorship to swing south, but TA was foisted on us with the reasoning that he is from the central senatorial zone. The Ngwa patiently waited another 8 years through his terrible leadership. Any attempt to deny the Ngwa this time around would be met with a violent rejection.

The Ngwa would not be saddled with the failures of TA Orji, no matter what party he belongs to.
PoliticsRe: Abia Governorship Election Result Stalemated by Kc3000:
I've ignored you internet politicians for too long. That miscreant called Alex Otti, who bears an uncanny resemblance to TA Orji, is no doubt a first class rogue. His antecedents indicate that he'll be another Orji, if not worse.

Yes, he's a PDP man that fled to APGA only when he was denied the PDP nomination. Orji refused his 3 billion naira bribe, which I'm certain came from the stolen Liberian money he was holding for Charles Taylor. Otti ain't no saint, he's a criminal!!

For equity, the governorship was zoned to Abia South/Ngwa axis of the state. For over 20 years, since the inception of the state, the largest bloc in the state has patiently waited its turn to govern the state. Candidates were vetted, leading to the emergence of Okezie Ikpeazu as the PDP nominee. Meanwhile, Otti, who hails from Abia North(Arochukwu), emerges from his porch to claim that he's from Isialangwa. If this isn't a desperate criminal of TA proportions, I don't know who is.

All Otti ever did in APGA was bribe the national officials to impose him as the nominee against the wishes of those that have worked so hard to sustain the party in the state. Factions of the party still refuse to recognize him. Who can blame them? The man wasn't even a registered member of APGA when he was announced as the nominee, and this was two days after a different nominee had been announced. Criminal tendencies of Otti emerge again!!

These shady attempts to disenfranchise the Ngwa, first by deploying that criminal Otti, and now attempting to cancel election results in Ngwa territories would never work. Did Otti ever think he could garner more votes than Okezie in Isialangwa North, Obingwa and Ugwunagbo? If so, he must be back on hard drugs!!

Lastly, I'm not in the least interested in carrying water for TA Orji. . .he was a colossal failure. Okezie Ikpeazu is not his stooge, and would never be. Once Ikpeazu becomes governor, he would be successful or not based on his own doings, and not because of TA. That's the way things work around here, and you can take that to the bank.

While the few virtuous girls are wary of being labeled as gold diggers and keep their distance, the gold-diggers and diamond miners easily work up the courage to confess their "love" for you. Push all these vultures to the side, it won't be easy (remember they "rove" you, and they are well tutored in the art of seduction), and you'll discover there are still a few good but less conspicuous ones, worthy of attention and love.

PoliticsRe: Buhari And Obasanjo's Tenure More Corrupt Than GEJ Tenure - TI by Kc3000: 12:05pm On Feb 13, 2015
Of course, corruption during Obj's tenure was on a monumental scale. That Ota farmer in the name of privatization engaged in the most corrupt practices in the history of this country. The entire privatization process involved passing off Nigeria's assets to his cronies, and to anyone(foreign or domestic) who could offer him the biggest bribes and favors. Obj the president was not above going after people's businesses either, in his usual vindictive manner. . .he shut down Ibeto's cement business as a favor to Dangote, seized Sonny Odogwu's goods for many years, revoked Don Etiebet's oil block as a favor for Atiku, just to mention a few of his shoddy practices.
Obj wasted so much useful resources in fighting fruitless battles in the legislative arm of government. So much money exchanged hands to ensure the impeachment of any senate president that Obj perceived to be a threat, and an even much more ridiculous amount of money was wasted in trying to push through his 3rd term agenda in the house and senate.
All these ridiculous claims of $20, 30, 40 billion dollars vanishing into thin air against GEJ are simply fabricated. They throw out some ridiculous numbers to get our attention, without considering the validity of their claims. Oshimole or Fashola would sit in their state houses and discover that 30 trillion naira has gone missing from the federal coffers. If you ask them when and how they audited the FG, they even become more ridiculous.
PoliticsRe: 30 Feared Killed In Benue Communities By Fulani Herders by Kc3000: 9:45pm On Feb 11, 2015
My good people of the middle-belt, we feel your pain, we sincerely do. We do not mock you in these trying times, for we are not your enemy, whom by now I'm certain you have clearly identified, as he routinely raids your homes without provocation. It is the same enemy you joined in his futile attempt to exterminate us. Read the candid words of Ikemba Nnewi below and realize that you are the latest victim of an age old Islamic conspiracy. The wildlings that are wiping out entire settlements in one night are on the very same mission as Boko Haram, do not be fooled into believing that a whole village was wiped out because a farmer had an argument with some Fulani cattle rearers. This is Jihad.

[b]The Biafran struggle is, on another plane, a resistance to the Arab-Muslim expansionism, which has menaced and ravaged the African continent for twelve centuries,

Our Biafran ancestors remained immune from the Islamic contagion. From the middle years of the last century Christianity was established in our land. In this way we came to be a predominantly Christian people. We came to stand out as a non-Muslim island in a raging Islamic sea. Throughout the period of the ill-fated Nigerian experiment, the Muslims hoped to infiltrate Biafra by peaceful means and quiet propaganda, but failed. Then the late Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto tried, by political and economic blackmail and terrorism, to convert Biafrans settled in Northern Nigeria to Islam. His hope was that these Biafrans of dispersion would then carry Islam to Biafra, and by so doing give the religion political control of the area. The crises, which agitated the so-called independent Nigeria from 1962, gave these aggressive proselytisers the chance to try converting us by force.

It is now evident why the fanatic Arab-Muslim states like Algeria, Egypt and the Sudan have come out openly and massively to support and aid Nigeria in her present war of genocide against us. These states see militant Arabism as a powerful instrument for attaining power in the world. Biafra is one of the few African states untainted by Islam. Therefore, to militant Arabism, Biafra is a stumbling block to their plan for controlling the whole continent. This control is fast becoming manifest in the Organization of African Unity. On the question of the Middle East, the Sudanese crisis, in the war between Nigeria and Biafra, militant Arabism has succeeded in imposing its point of view through blackmail and bluster. It has threatened African leaders and governments with inciting their Muslim minorities to rebellion if the governments adopted an independent line on these questions.
In this way an O.A.U. that has not felt itself able to discuss the genocide in the Sudan and Biafra, an O A.U. that has again and again advertised its ineptitude as a peace maker, has rushed into open condemnation of Israel over the Middle East dispute. Indeed, in recent times, by its performance, the O.A.U. might well be an organization of Arab unity.

I washed my hands off Buhari when boko haram insisted that he should represent them in negotiations with Nigeria. What is boko haram's agenda, and why do they want Buhari at the negotiating table?
PoliticsRe: Chadian Aircraft Bomb Nigerian Town In Anti-Boko Haram Raid by Kc3000: 8:06am On Feb 01, 2015
There's a multinational force operating in the border areas consisting of forces from Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger and Chad. There's bound to be some cooperation and agreement permitting these forces to go after Boko Haram in those areas lest they are handicapped in their operations. It is a welcomed development that neighboring countries have taken a proactive role in the efforts to dislodge Boko Haram, hopefully disrupting the terrorist's supply channels and making it difficult for them to strike Nigeria and retreat into these countries.
Truth be told, the Nigerian military is fighting valiantly and to the best of their capabilities. Unfortunately, politicians and their minions have continued to rubbish their intrepid efforts against a shifty and lawless foe. There are myriad issues with this country of ours, to which the military is not impervious, but it represents a new low to undermine and ridicule your own military that is engaged in mortal combat to preserve your safety. Sure, we all hope the terrorists could be defeated in a fortnight, but we are faced with a different reality. . .the foe is more resilient, more ingrained in the territory, with far-reaching support and sponsorship, than was earlier imagined. Pretending like this is some meager adversary that would be easily vanquished but for the lack of effort and determination from our military, is absolutely spurious or at best the consequence of sheer ignorance. No military campaign is perfect, it would not be war if your enemy rolled over as soon as you show up. It's rather amusing to read my favorite armchair warriors here who sit in the comfort of their homes to dictate to the Army what they should do or not do.
I'm pained because I've lost friends in the Army to this conflict, some have had close calls and one is still missing at the moment. It's real, it's lethal, and many young men are paying the ultimate price for the love of country. In the very least, these lads need to know that their sacrifices are appreciated by the ones for whom they fight.
Music/RadioRe: The Truth: D’banj Explains How He Was Kicked Out Of Mo’hits Records By Don Jazzy by Kc3000: 12:39pm On Jan 26, 2015
I don't believe for a second that Dr. Sid is to blame for the break up. Here's the issue, Dbanj(as admitted in this interview) brokered a deal with Kanye West, which he thought would be beneficial to him and Mohits. This he did in Don Jazzy's absence, even though he was able to convince them to sign Jazzy on as a producer. It was the same day that Don Jazzy realized that their 50-50 partnership was a terrible mistake as Dbanj had just shown that he could go off and singularly negotiate a deal on behalf of the record label.
Whether he realized it or not, Dbanj had broken the trust, and Don Jazzy awakened to the fact that all he had worked for was at the mercy of the Koko Master. The Don wanted out and he wanted out quickly. Dbanj in his haste for global appeal made a major move without proper consultation and consent of his equal partner in business. Such presumptive decisions have ended many business relationships, and I'm sure as Jazzy sat there in New York wondering how he inexplicably plunged from boss status in Nigeria to doing boy-boy for Kanye West in the U.S, it hit him like a thousand punches that Dbanj had led him into that mess. He left the U.S determined to take his destiny into his own hands.
PoliticsRe: Destruction Of Dr Alex Otti's Campaign Billboards In Abia State by Kc3000: 11:56am On Dec 28, 2014
Alex Otti is a treacherous character that has already displayed a desperation that should scare the Abia voters. He started his campaign with the blatant lie that he's an Ngwa man, when everyone is aware that he's an Aro man, simply because the governorship has been zoned to the Ngwas. The lie did not fly in PDP. Otti made a bold attempt to bribe TA Orji with 3 billion naira (quote me on this anywhere), but TA has embezzled all the money he needs and turned him down.
Otti ran to APGA, and with a blatant disregard for those who have been fighting for years to keep APGA afloat in a PDP dominated state, he again tried to buy the nomination. When he was rebuffed, he ran to the national level to attempt to bribe his way in. APGA conducted its primary elections in Umuahia, and an undisputed stalwart of the party, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba emerged as the governorship flag bearer. A few days later, Alex Otti who is not even a registered APGA member, emerges with his crew to also declare himself the APGA nominee. Whatever machinery APGA has developed in Abia through the years is firmly behind Reagan Ufomba. Otti is throwing his money around and trying to create some commotion but he's ABSOLUTELY WASTING HIS TIME. He has no platform on which to contest, and more importantly he's proven in a short period to have no principles, and to be a desperate moneybag that would eagerly apply deceit and treachery to get his way.

Buhari has never apologised at anytime.(18)Buhari executed Lawal Ojuolape (30), Bernard Ogedengbe (29) and Bartholomew Owoh (26).
At 72 Gen. Buhari still wants to rule Nigeria again. I don't think he has anything to offer now.

Even the APC flag bearer is an Ngwa man too. Anyim Chinenye Nyerere.

Any person mentioning Ngwaphobia here is a paid piper whose belle go soon burst.
If you are claiming that Alex Otti is an Ngwa man maybe your own belle has already ruptured.

Maybe Jaja fell victim to jet lag, but he was certainly one of the distinguished Nigerians of his era. He represented Nigeria so well at the UN, in an era when Westerners were not used to seeing Africans striving for leadership at the global level. TIME magazine wrote a glowing article about him in 1961 titled 'United Nations: Pride of Africa'.

He was from Abia, not Ebonyi.

The anti-Ngwa forces have gone into full panic mode since it dawned on them that an Ngwa is finally likely to govern the state which they have thoroughly mismanaged. So, the latest is to hide your Ngwaphobia behind the humanitarian tag, with the hope that we won't see through your charade. If that failure, TA Orji, you people foisted on us likes let him place land mines every where for Ikpeazu, we'll undo them all. After all, the other failure you gave us before him, Orji Uzor Kalu, even went through more desperate measures to ensure he had control of TA Orji, but TA was able to untangle himself once he got in power. Go and tell your paymaster, Orji Uzor kalu, that Ikpeazu has no plans of being TA's stooge, just like TA refused to be his stooge.

You had your chance to give us good leadership in this sorry state, rather you saddled us consecutively with one failure after the other. Where were these your saviors you want us to vote for when you mismanaged this state for 20 years? Better shut your putrid pie hole while we attempt to revive this state from its miserable condition. We're not begging, it's our time to give good governance to this state, something you clearly couldn't do. Get with the program or get out.

They are the ones black South Sudanese call the Janja.weed.

They are Arabs booty hunters that desire to rape and pillage Black Africa, whilst hiding behind islam. U can call dem Arab imperialist.

They were very active in the recent Mali terror group invading and chasing Black Africans from their lands.

Those guys are trouble and which ever way u go, the trail heads back to North Africa and subsequently the Middle East.
U got that right. These are the dreaded Janja.weed.

Is there any precedence for this kinda practice in the Bible? The prophets in the Bible delivered direct and precise messages from God. It seems like this guy watches the news, spices it up a little bit and asks people to pray. He forecasts a dizzying amount of things that 'may' or 'may not' happen, and when one sticks his army of groupies erupt in a frenzy.

I love God, I have no patience for phonies.

My brother, GOD bless you. I reason the way you reason. White people often say that Africans are incapable of critical reasoning. The critical reasoning behind the block vote from the Igbos, to Jonathan not minding their own ( Okorocha ) is to effect the system. Yorubas do not know that most Igbos DON'T like Jonathan, but are voting for him in other to correct the system of born to rule mentality embed in hausa/fulani syche which breeds the culture of impunity and fulani herdsmen killing and burning Christian town and villages unchecked and etc.
Lol. . .This is true.

PoliticsRe: Anyim Emerges APC Governorship Flag Bearer In Abia by Kc3000:
You never know what you're getting with these politicians till they get a whiff of that power. It doesn't matter what political party they're affiliated with, one that is keen to perform would do so, and the kleptomaniac would still do what he does best. TA Orji went from PPA to APGA and then to PDP without missing a beat in his nefarious activities. If you like dump him in APC. . .well, u get the point.
I've been conned in the past by people whom I presumed their impressive academic profiles and success in business would transition well to government, only to watch them falter like the rest . Yes, Alex Otti has done well for himself as the CEO of Diamond bank but that's no guarantee that he'll make a good governor. Nothing against the fellow, but I'll be more convinced by an extensive record in community service than a nice banking résumé. I'll love to see a visionary at the helm of affairs in Abia, but I won't sit here and pretend like I know what I'm getting from any of these people in the race.
Besides, its no secret that its time for the Ngwa to produce the governor in Abia state. Alex Otti furtively tried to pass as an Ngwa man, since he grew up in Isiala Ngwa, but was duly rebuffed. It wouldn't have helped him anyway since PDP had zoned it to Abia South senatorial zone, which does not include Isiala Ngwa and Osisioma Ngwa parts of Ngwaland. While some would be quick to suggest that zoning is not worthwhile, I insist that it is absolutely necessary to ensure equity when there's a clear departure from fair play, and one group has evidently developed a sense of entitlement. If Ndi Ngwa hadn't been so thoroughly and systematically maligned since the inception of the state, maybe they wouldn't be desperately seeking the governorship to gain a sense of belonging in the state. In states where there isn't much emphasis on zoning, there's usually a conscientious effort to ensure that everyone is carried along and has a voice, no matter where the governor hails from. This just hasn't been the case in Abia.

Obj is all bark and no bite. Dude can't even win an election for PDP in his own ward, I don't know why people even flinch when he goes on these his repeated diatribes. He has done his worst with his verbal attacks. Where's his political structure, where are his loyalists? Certainly not in PDP, and he's now flirting with APC by default. . . .surely he can't offer APC anything but confusion and division. Such a vindictive and selfish person can never command any true loyalty, people only tolerated him when he was in power and as soon as he left they all turned their backs on him. Who has he not fallen out with?. . .from those who propped him into power, to those who did his dirty works, right down to his own children. Such a sadistic personality who thrives on others misery should be kept at a healthy distance, and left to enjoy his ill-gotten wealth all by himself in his farm. I bet the livestock in that farm hate him too.
