This is where I disagree with Twitter and sided with the Nigerian government.

America won't sit on her hands and let any social media platform freely promote the destruction of America or allow any declared terrorist group to foment violence and destruction within the US border.

I've never seen Al-Qaida on any social media platform calling for the killings of soldiers and or celebrating the deaths of innocent citizens in America.

Twitter won't allow it and America won't tolerate such blatant anti-American atrocities on any social media and it won't be because of free speech, it's going to be because of safety and National security.

How do you allow a terrorist group to freely call for the destruction of a sovereign country, promote violence and killings and so on.?

This is the right call by the Nigerian government.

This man posts all sorts of vitriolic, abusive, threatening messages against Nigeria and the Nigerian government, including blood-curdling commands to his followers, to kill and maim innocent Nigerians, including law enforcement agents.

BUT NOT FOR ONE DAY have I heard that Twitter cautioned him, or warned him against such dangerous use of the platform.

And then the Nigerian president uses the same twitter to warn troublemakers of repercussions, and HE gets his posts deleted by twitter.

I mean, WHAT CLEARER CASE OF BIAS IS THAT?

If I were Buhari, I would do the EXACT SAME THING, and ban them from operating in the Nigerian space.

Oh sure, some people can use VPN, but research shows that most peeps won't bother if they have to go to that extent.

Now I understand what my Yoruba friend meant once when we discussed.

We were seated about 4 of us, then one of us A Northerner just mentioned it that if Nigeria should divide today that the Yorubas will be the greatest beneficiary.
One of the Yoruba amongst us just countered him that the Yoruba nation could either be the greatest winner as he proclaimed or could be the greatest loser depending on the sincerity of those that will emerge as the leaders or the decision makers.

I asked him if he cares to elaborate and he said "unlike the North which is predominantly Muslims and the South East and South South which are predominantly Christians, the Southwest has alm an even distribution of Muslim and Christians. And one (Christians) has been cheating the other (Muslims) and also tactically subjugating and undermining them for long. The Muslims have not really fought back because some of them had an alternative to use (use Northern) indeginisation to advance in life. They are able to use that to enter Universities in the North, join the military and the federal civil service while ignoring the domination from the Christians. If the nation is balkanized, they will no longer sit back and tolerate the undermining from the Christians.
I said but Yorubas have western education which they claim makes them the most refined of Nigerians, they can not fight one another.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) wishes to remind Nigerians that the seeds of the insecurity which the APC administration is containing was sown by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration when it handled the Boko Haram insurgency in an inept and incompetent manner.

This is response to the false claims by the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, who lied that the Federal Government has lost control of the security situation.

The remarks by the Rivers state governor, whose party members call a dictator, flies against the continuous efforts of our security forces who are toiling day and night and successfully rolled back the Boko Haram insurgency it inherited to a small part on the shores of Lake Chad.

Nigerians can recall that the insurgents once attacked places of worship, markets and gathering of citizens in many states of the Federation before the APC administation led by President Muhammadu Buhari galvanised and equipped the armed forces to degrade their capacity to strike all over the country.

It is ironic that the dictator at the Rivers State government house has forgotten so soon that kidnapping for ransom, like the Boko Haram insurgency, did not start under this administration, but every effort is being made to stop it along with its twin evil of banditry.
The APC administration has consistently worked for the best interest of Nigeria and will not be distracted by the antics of the PDP designed to mislead Nigerians into assuming that the PDP they rejected in free and fair elections in 2015 and 2019 is worthy of their trust.

A leopard cannot change its spots. The PDP is clearly in disarray. It was a failure in governance and a shocking failure as an opposition party. Nigerians cannot risk the country's future in the hands of the same political party that brought the rot the APC administration is clearing.
