God bless you sister. Religion has been one of the major challenges to Nigeria. Rather than unite us, it has divided us and make us not only hate ourselves but relate with each other based on religious beliefs rather than love and humanity. The love for humanity is no longer there if it's not a Christian or Muslim brother.
Forget the Muslim name, was born a Muslim but converted a long time ago, but I made a promise never to profile people based on their religious practices. Whether you be christain, Muslim, or babalawo, won't ever affect my relationship with you, that to me is humanity ahead of religion.
Gbosa for you bro! Until Nigerians get to this realisation we ain't going anywhere near progress.

If someone doesn't believe in Christmas celebration and therefore doesn't partake of anything involving Christmas ,howdoes that make him a hypocrite when that same person accept your gift on a different day.? I don't seeing anything wrong in his action , He is only making you understand that he hates the practice of Christmas but doesn't hate you . simple. After all, if this same person continues eating ur Xmas food you will still be the same one that will say " Don't mind him na all if us dey do the Xmas together'. Please leave people to their choices.
So its Ok to hate the practice of Islam? Get a brain.

This only shows the level of your understanding of the religion you claim to practice.

The reason for not eating Christmas food in particular is a subtle way of saying "I don't subscribe to this particular celebration". if you're bringing in hypocrisy, then those eating Christmas food and claim to be Muslims are the ones being hypocritical because No Muslim believes that Jesus is lord, neither do Muslims believe that Jesus is the son of God but these are the basis of Christian beliefs and once you're eating the food for Christmas day in particular, that only says "I'm celebrating with you" or "I have no problem with what you're celebrating".

This isn't even talking about the advent of the celebration itself that even some Christians don't celebrate, but a Muslim would rather join them ?

If your father is accused of being an adulterer and some people gather to celebrate that, dancing and singing, I guess you'll join them wholeheartedly or you'll rather pass by them and walk away?

but on a normal day, when there's no conflicting belief, they eat and accept gifts.

does Manchester united celebrate with Chelsea when Chelsea wins a cup?

Atiku may not visit US any time soon
By Timileyin Omilana
26 December 2018 | 11:01 am

Former Nigerian vice president and the People's Democratic Party's presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar may not visit the United States any time soon.

“What will I even go to do in America," Abubakar said during an interview with the Hausa service of the Voice of America.

The opposition candidate is being dogged by allegations of corruption.

He and his fourth wife Jennifer Douglas, an American citizen, were allegedly indicted in 2010in a 328-page American Senate committee report for transferring over $40 million "suspect funds" to America from offshore accounts between 2002 and 2008.

Abubakar served as Nigerian vice president between 199 and 2007.

"Ms Douglas helped her husband bring over $40 million in suspect funds into the United States, including at least $1.7 million in bribe payments from Siemens AG, a German corporation, and over $38 million from little known offshore corporations, primarily LetsGo Ltd. Inc., Guernsey Trust Company Nigeria Ltd., and Sima Holding Ltd," the Carl Levin-led Permanent Subcommittee on Investigation said on page 173 of its report.

Although Abubakar has not visited the United States since he was indicted, he has maintained that he did not wrong.

He insisted he can be Nigerian president without visiting America, one of Nigeria's most important allies.

In November, the Director General of the Atiku campaign organisation, Gbenga Daniel, says officials of the United States have hinted that Abubakar would get a U.S. visa if he applies for one.

"I can also confirm to you that in last few days that there have been signals from the American officials that he (Atiku) should indeed come forward so he can be granted a visa. So between you and I, all the issues are perception,” Daniel said in an interview on Channels Television programme, Politics Today.

Till date, U.S. Embassy in Nigeria and the State Department in Washington have declined to clarify issues around Abubakar’s visa, despite numerous media enquiries.

Masterclass32:
Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has said that Nigeria will continue to wallow in “abject socio-political, economic and developmental blindness” until an Igbo man becomes the president and that the ‘Igbo are to Nigeria what Israel is to the world today’.

The spokesman for the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Uche Achi-Okpaga, said this in an interview while reacting to a statement by Osinbajo that the South-West would produce the President in 2023 after President Buhari saying: “I do not expect Prof. Osinbajo to say a different thing. The 2023 Yoruba Presidency is a plot presumably well hatched and efforts are being exerted to win it successfully as dramatised in the public pronouncements earlier by Fashola and now the bleeding utterances of Osinbajo.

“However, I am dumbfounded that these are men that believe in the existence of God but, perhaps unwittingly, do not believe in the God factor.

“The Igbo are the descendants of King David, the man after God’s heart. Anything you do in Nigeria without the active cooperation and participation of the lgbo would always crumble as exemplified in the present administration of PMB. The Igbo are to Nigeria what Israel is to the world today.

“Take my word today, until an Igbo man leads, Nigeria will continue to wallow in abject socio-political, economic and developmental blindness. The late Prof Dora Akunyili was brought in and she did justice to NAFDAC’s perennial, protracted and seemingly intractable impasse.

“Prof. (Chukwuma) Soludo was brought in and he brought sanity into the banking system. Today, Nigerians can deposit their money and go to sleep with their eyes closed.

“Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was brought in and she spearheaded debt relief for Nigeria (already dismantled by the present administration.)

“You can attest to how Prof. (Onyebuchi) Chukwu, as Minister of Health, clinically dealt with the Ebola virus under Goodluck Jonathan.

“The list is endless. Simply put, the Igbo will lead Nigeria when the Lord decrees it, all clandestine plots notwithstanding.”

The Lagos-Ibadan expressway is one of the major federal roads, not just because it runs through three states – Lagos, Ogun and Oyo. It is also the transport route for agricultural produce from the South West to the nation’s commercial hub. Despite its value that touches on commuters’ transportation and business, the road has been in a dilapidated condition for almost a decade now.

Successive administrations always name it as integral on their list of proposed capital projects, but years down the line, there is no improvement, In fact, the road is only getting worse. Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan launched the reconstruction of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in 2013, which was to gulp ₦167 billion. That was even after years of neglect and government inaction https://qwenu.com/2018/12/20/will-lagos-ibadan-expressway-ever-be-completed/

Government Agric Efforts Crash Prices of Food Items in Lagos

ON DECEMBER 17, 20185

Various government efforts at revamping agriculture may have started yielding results as prices of tomatoes and pepper have reduced in major markets in Lagos. God’s market… A survey by NAN on Monday at Mile 12, Oyingbo and Iddo markets showed that a 40kg basket of tomatoes goes for N5,000, from its previous price of N10, 000 in November and N29, 000 in July.

A 50 kg basket of ‘tatashe’ (pepper) decreased from N14, 000 to N8, 000, while a basket of chilli pepper (rodo) also dropped from N13, 000 to N8, 000.

Mr Femi Odusanya, spokesperson of Mile 12 Market Perishable Foods Traders Association, said that government’s efforts in agriculture might have started yielding positive results on the prices of food.

“About two to three years ago, fertilizer, a major farming input, was sold at about N10,000 to N12, 000, but now fertilizer goes for about N6500 in the market.

“Some state governments in the North are giving tractors to farmers free of charge to plough their land and also access to improved seedlings. “Definitely, all these have impacted, one way or the other, in reducing cost of production for most farmers and the result is now evident for all to benefit from,” he said. Odusanya said that prices of the commodities might even reduce further before Christmas, due to the increasing supply from about 80 trucks to 120 trucks daily to the market. Our cost of transaction, fees, attractive — SEC boss He urged government to sustain efforts and also invest more in mechanized farming to boost food production and sufficiency in the country.

However, price of a jute bag of onions increased from N28,000 to N35,000 while one kilogramme of frozen chicken and turkey goes for N1,000 and N1,100, respectively. Live chicken is sold for between N3,500 and N6, 000, depending on their sizes. Also, a 50kg bag of rice ranges between N16, 500 and N22, 000, depending on the brand, a 25 litres of palm oil goes for N11, 500, while a measurement of “garri’’ cost N380. Some of the traders also attributed the drop in the prices of food to the massive supply of food items occasioned by harvest season. (NAN)

All using one book (The Bible), following one Jesus Christ yet believing differently.

Some say Jesus was born in December, others say Jesus was born in October. Some say Mary was a Virgin till death, others say she wasn't. Some say Mary is special, Some say she's not.
