Pls can anyone help with the prospects of a FCMB shares. Just being curious of its performance in relation to its peers in the market (Fidelity, Wema, Sterling ) |
MadamVanessa:I hardly respond to comments but this one caught my attention. Nigeria is so divided today because of people like you who hide behind a phone or laptop to spread warped logic. Please try to understand the workings of government and investigations. So your expectation is that suspension order must be given immediately the FBI said he has been indicted? Things don't work that way. It takes a process and so far the IG and PSC have taken the proper channel. |
SUFFERInSMILIIN:When a man calls his people "Stupid" simply because of they refused to come out and vote, then that man needs his head reexamined. On a public forum like this, let us mind those things we say. Your thinking depicts your kind of home training and a minus on how you were raised. Every African trains their children very well, it is up to the child to behave in the proper teachings of his parents. Watch your words brother |
Bros your head dey there mennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Very savage response. The problem with his ilk is that they blame Nigeria and its woes on the President. Ask him what he has contributed, na nothing. Na entitlement mentality dey worry all of them |
I have always regarded Nairaland as a very learned group where people share ideas helping people making somewhat difficult tasks achievable. I have always wondered how Computer village guys get laptops to sell at prices cheaper than what we see online. I am trying to start laptop business and would appreciate legitimate ways I can get it cheaper buying branded ones from abroad. I will be glad to be guided on this. Thank you |
Ustec:Oga next time, try to educate people when they seek answers. Never be quick to insult people In the western world, they have 3 grades of fuel: Regular, medium and premium. Most times people buy the standard fuel and when your pocket is deep you decide to go for premium. There is nothing wrong with what Sylvia has proposed. This clearly shows that some people are doing deep thinking in order to reduce the burden on the common man. Walahi!! I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel for Nigeria. Nigeria shall be great again |

Op this is one of those not carefully reasoned posts people these days are known for. I think as human beings especially on large platforms like this require one to think through posts before posting. How can you compare us in terms of exchange rate. Do you know that a 2-bedroom apartment in that city costs up to $1200 per month? Can you afford to pay N150k per month in Nigeria? Do you know how much it costs to buy a mobile phone in that city when you exchange to the Naira? Why is it that we just don't think critically before condemning our country? Before now, some people call Nigeria Zoo. When the South Africans went after them, they realised they were Nigerians and even sang the National Anthem. Guy this post has done a lot of disservice to your person. Appreciate our country as we do not have any other one. Yes New York get light and good roads. You need to live in their midst to realise how its citizens complain about lack of this, lack of that. Na person wey never visit another man ghetto, go dey think say im own worst pass. Nigeria will surely be great again |
morikee:How are you sure he go fit cope with the cold? Our weather just begin dey do press up since last week. 25 feeling like 22 degrees today. We fit see 16 degrees or less from next week o |
Yeyenatu!! GEJ was so competent that you guys voted him massively abi? Sebi he is Azikiwe. South East don serve their own term nah. Una never see anything. That said, you see it is better to do a political calculation when faced with issues like this. You guys need to go back to the drawing board and reevaluate your strategies. Since Buhari came to power you guys have allowed bile to consume you. You guys are industrious but not strategic. You forgot that in business you never make enemies. The guy who messed you up today might be your saviour tomorrow. When Bola Tinubu was abusing PMB sometimes ago, today they are best of buddies because what PMB needed he got it from someone who abused him. In politics there are no permanent enemies but permanent interests. You guys forgot that the British who administered this country gave the North advantage over the rest of us in terms of what figures they said they were. That arrangement has been on ground ever since. Whichever way you want to put it, to become President in Nigeria you have to kowtow to them. There is nothing anyone can do. The SE does not have the figures to make the presidency. The SW does not have either but ask yourself, if you are Hausa, will you vote an Iboman who says all of them are nitwits? Igbos who denigrated their sons and daughters? Bros answer this and be honest with it. Ko le werk. To be able to win the Presidency you guys have to stoop to conquer. You have to reorganise your strategies. In actual facct and being honest 2023 ko le week lailai (I am not God) |
martowskin1:Bros everyone is entitled to his opinion but please read issues before you comment on public forums. Atiku is committing felony by his action. He should wait for the court to decide in his favour before he starts acting this way. A shadow government is unacceptable to our laws. A man who lives in a glass house do not throw stones at people If tomorrow govt charges him for sedition. Don't blame government o. |
Abuharib:Brought tears to my eyes. May his soul rest in peace. May we not experience this kind of thing in our lifetime. Na person wey dey feel am, go know am. |
You are a damn liar. You had better repent from your ways Anambralstson: |
Monjerk:Bros na wah for you o. This guy was painstaking in explaining a process for you. He never judged. He left people to comprehend and bring out facts. It is not a question of supporting Atiku or Buhari. The issues here are Server hardware, Software and storage space. When you store in cloud, that is storage. The storage rests on a physical hardware controlled by a software. The question again is can a server be deleted? He went on to even use database examples. Database example talks about information which is a group of related records. The server in itself is a hardware and has an IP related to it. Reno misled people by the use of delete. You can take a server offline when you do the iprelease on it but you can NEVER delete a server. Now when you do a trace outside of the environment of server to get the ip of a server, you are more or less intruding into an environment and that is criminal in itself. It is very funny where this server thing will get to but I know some people will go to jail after this case. So bros try to equip yourself with facts about the topic you are contributing to so that you do not appear lost. |
trapQ:That must be a very reckless statement. Must you just throw stones all the time? Someone made his views known, rather than you say yours you start attacking a whole race. Grow up, adults discuss here and stop being a low life |
Southernminorit:Bros there is no truth in your statement. Have you ever asked yourself why Trump mellowed down with that kid? He knows the guy na were. Do you know the number of letter that have been exchanged with that guy? Why do you think Putin is a Champion on its own. The US knows it has to pick its battles. In the event of a war with NK, South go support, China , Germany and Russia will support them too. It is not as simplistic as you put it. No dey deceive yourself o |
The problem here is that we as Nigerians (including the OP) do not understand the process of evolution and how it plays out The likes of Sowore, Moghalu and co have started a process that will take some time to germinate. We always forget that you don't ask people to vacate a seat for you just like that. You have to fight for it to dislodge the set of human beings who have been there. The process has started. It is not going to be an immediate thing. When APC wanted to control the center, the party started with Fashola and blossomed to the center. That is why it is instructive for the focus to be on WTA (Wole Temidire Aguda) in Kogi State. Let that party hold 1 state first, then WTA prove to Nigeria that young people can do it then you will see that PDP and APC will be dead parties in years to come. That is the way things go. We as a collective have realized that this current state of affairs cannot continue but we also have to make it a gradual process and not be in a hurry to derail the process. BAT any day will be a better alternative to these present crop that we have because he is good at identifying young talents to do the job. When he was Governor of Lagos State, he nurtured young men, the only 50 year old in his govt then that I know was Lai Mohammed and probably one or two other people. Fashola was identified as good for Lagos and he did creditably well. Even though Orobo messed up with his arrogance he was also another young man who has shown we could get things right. Go and check the roll call of the world, all the leading contenders to the American presidency are late 60s and 70s above. It is not about age, it is about being the best man for the job. Without any fear of contradiction, BAT is the best man for the job and so deserves a shot at the Presidency....QED |
Obasanjo has denied any plane crash escape. He said he did not travel away from his house. All these rumour mongers trying to whip up sentiments shame on you. SHame on FFK and co |
It is Karma. When Sanusi dispossessed hardworking businessmen of their livelihood and threw millions on the job market and eventual dubiously sold the banks to his cronies, I knew Karma will come back one day. He never see anything. He would have been deposed since 2016 but well-meaning Nigerians pleaded on his behalf. He is the only man I know who despite knowing he has skeleton in his cupboard will still throw stones in the marketplace. When you know, you know |
nwanyionitsha:Bros this is a conjecture and we need to be careful with it. The issue here is Atiku has done the right thing by going to court if he feels aggrieved. What we are only doing here is an academic exercise that takes us nowhere. Saying area of strength or weakness can be conjured by anyone. For me Atiku's handlers ought to have educated him on what in law stipulates in arguing cases. I am not a judge and can only wait on the courts to decide on the merits or demerits of his case I will advise we all wait for the outcome. This same card reader has been the nemesis of PDP because since after the master rigger Obj, their figures have been going down. PDP has not been able to make the landslide victory they made before now. If you watched Amaechi on Channelstv in 2014 during the electioneering, he said the era of allocating votes is gone with the card reader and that is what has happened. You can only win election in a place where you are popular. Even if you rig, it will be narrow escape. The error of landslide is gone. Atiku stood in front of a trailer. PMB is not the kind of opposition he needed to vie against. PMB controls a cult figure akin to that of KIM II Sung of Korea. Atiku is a fry. People's vote counted and he lost |
Bros just as someone mentioned earlier, every tribe has contributed in one way or the other to the woes of this country. The thrust of this piece is to reiterate the fact that all have sin and come short of the expectation for this country. It is not a vindication for any ethnic group but a reminder that everyone is bitter about the action of the other. This should now reinforce the need to offer solutions by doing those things that unites rather than divide us. The Igbo race have to build bridges not making divisive statements. Look at Yoruba leaders (not the Afenifere nonsense o), they were tactical in their support so that head or tail they do not lose. When a Ben Nwabueze as a member of Ohaneze comes out to say that his wish is for Atiku to win the election and thereafter after Buhari won election the same group says Igbos must be SP, then you begin to wonder if people forget so easily The event of 1966 is still fresh in everyone's mind and it will take years to build the trust back. That is why Ndigbo have to build rather than be divisive. See the way they carried on after losing election in 2015 to Buhari. They carried the bile in their hearts for 4 good years. Same thing has started again and another 4 years will be gone. In actual sense of it, between a PYO/El-Rufai and Atiku/Obi who do you think the larger votes block will support in 2023? The SW have been very receptive of the ruling party unlike the hostilities in SE. That is why Ndigbo have to rally round the likes of Orji Uzor Kalu. It is a way of providing soft landing for Ndigbo. Okorocha would have led the pack but he messed up the opportunity by placing self-interest over group interest. Trust is key and that is what Ndigbo have to build. My 2 cents anyway |
deomelo: ![]() You be baaaaaad guy |
Bros you see self delusion is a terrible farce that all men put their chances. Every man thinks that he has the upper ace forgetting that where he thinks he waxes stronger is the beginning for other people In 2015, some people rode on the back of PMB's popularity to get into power. In 2018, they became so full of themselves and today we know where they are. Saraki, Atikuloot and co can see their own folly now The Ibo investor who has come into Lagos and other major cities as hustlers and have made money know the power of his hosts and will not utter statements that will jeopardise his business. A peasant who cannot muster N500k to run a shop will seat behind the computer and type stuffs to say leaving to the East will cripple Lagos. How laughable can that be? In 1998 when the Hausa's clashed with the Yorubas in Sagamu and the the indigenes told them enough is enough, when it was apparent they would be driven out of the town the elders who have been settlers ad have made millions exporting kolanut to the North rose up to plead on behalf of the miscreants who started the pogrom. By the time they were on suspension, the Yorubas started building the kiosks and were selling those groceries the Mallams were selling. People did the analysis and realised how much money the Hausas were making from the kiosks. Look at the man talking. Omokri who cannot boast of $10k dollars cash is the one talking of crippling Lagos economy and some miscreants will come here to say he was making sense. Abeg make dem go. Lagos needs a breath of fresh air. This is what happens when you have people being ungrateful to their hosts. In due course, they will hear from their host. It is those who think they are wise that will teach the fool to be wise. Make we dey watch as things dey go |
@Mayor, I commend your effort and bravery bringing these issues to the fore. We should all show love to our neighbours. I think the issue needs not being over-flogged. Our elders are observing and at the appropriate time, the needful will be done. One unique thing with Yorubas is that we always sound the clarion before we take action. We might be denigrated and called names but at the appropriate time we will give a response. It is people who call the fool a fool that will teach him to receive sense. Just don't dissipate too much energy on this. I salute your courage. You are a very good young man |

Bros make una borrow unaselves brain nah. Do you need PVC to vote in a party primary? Party primary is not a PVC thing. It is a membership register thing. Why do you guys like saying things you do not have better understanding about nah? |
Is it not the same Peter Obi his people call Adaobi? Bros when did you start following politics? Was it not when he went to platform some 2 years ago to sweet talk them that some people from the SW began to reckon with him? Bros you don't know as much as Peter Obi as I know. You might like him. Yes. That is a right of choice you have got but to compare him with that Erudite Professor is an insult to intellectualism agabaI23: |
Bros how can you be comparing Peter Obi with Osinbajo? Make una no get too excited nah!! Haba!! Can you see Osinbajo's demeanour when he makes his speeches? Softspoken, intelligent, pragmatic and so on and so on. You think he got his Professor from a roadshop shop in Yaba? Abeg compare likes for likes jare Mrmos: |
Bros please stop this. Stop it. Why are you doing this nah? Johnnyessence: |
Bros abeg allow sleeping dogs lie. You should know by now that your constant harping on this kind of derailing discussion you are distracting others, I am begging you in the name of God please allow people focus on what we are here for. Some of us are overseas and want to know what is happening. I am at 3:34am and yet to sleep since yesterday. Let us get the info we need abeg. Johnnyessence: |
Your logic sounds good and fantastic. However, someone told me of the story of a man who was telling another man of how to escape from a lion. The man told his friend that he read a book that if you see a lion, just lie on the floor and pretend you are dead. The listening friend now responded to the narrator that " Are you sure the lion has read the story"? That is food for thought for you man. TrueNigerian300: |
