We've been here before, we saw it with Beaf. The Mods continually victimized him till he had no choice but to leave NL and the opposition shouted Hooray! Here we go again. I've noticed the deliberate targeting of Wesley80's posts for hiding and most times outright ban over the flimsiest of excuses. A couple of weeks ago it was for opening a thread that the mods felt was "Disrespectful" to Buhari which elicited a lengthy ban, I was glad to see him back this morn on the offensive as usual with an interesting take on Tinubu's propaganda but sadly, I just checked the same thread only to find his posts hidden and just as I suspected he replied my PM saying he's been banned for 6days! Funny enough, the aggressors peddling falsity were left untouched. Why the victimization mods? Does everyone have to romance Tinubu and Fashola to be in your good books? Some of us love those with strong and contrary opinions like Wesley offers. Why the hate Mods? |
To think that was the headline on a national daily speaks volumes as to the length these crooks would go to deceive the public. Once a gangster always a gangster. |
Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) also accused the President of using undue force on the Jamā'a Ahl al-sunnah li-da'wa wa al-jihād or Boko Haram saying “In Bama and Baga towns, military personnel were reported to have been engaged in extortion and sometimes raping of women. And because a soldier was killed in Baga the whole town was sacked by military. This is not the best way military should have acted when they were sent to restore law and order in a town. How can a responsible government allow its people to be killed in this way”. Let me say that I appreciate Buhari's concern for the victims of the Boko Haram attacks on Bama and Baga. However, Buhari should be reminded that the President ordered an investigation into the incidence at Bama. The investigations are being carried out by qualified persons and Buhari ought to wait for the results of those investigations before apportioning blame. Members of the Nigerian armed forces are sacrificially laying their lives down to protect Nigerians and they deserve more loyalty from us all, particularly from one who was once their Commander-in-Chief. But going back to history, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) is reminded that this is not the first time that terrorists have unleashed mayhem on Nigerians. Buhari is reminded that in February and March of 1984, the Maitatsine sect unleashed violence in Yola under the leadership of Musa Makaniki. A conservative estimate is that 1000 people died duringthose riots and half of the residence of Yola in present day Adamawa state were rendered homeless. The military was unleashed on the sect by the military administration of Major General Muhammadu Buhari. Similar charges as the ones made today by Buhari were made against the soldiers sent by his government to quell the Maitatsine riots of 1984. They were accused of undueforce, destruction of property, raping women and killing civilians. Many human rights groups and activists including J. Peter Pham, the Director of the Michael Ansari Center at the prestigious Atlantic Council whom I have personally met and who is alivetoday have documented what took place during thoseriots. In putting down the Maitatsine insurgency, the military incurred collateral damages. Yet Nigerians understood with Buhari. Did anyone call for his resignation as military Head of State because of the incidence? Also, it is a historical fact that Maitatsine riots again flared up more than a year after this in April of 1985,while Buhari was still Head of State, this time in Gombe in present day Gombe state. Hundreds of people were killed and the military again was called in. There were collateral damage and Musa Makaniki, the arrowhead of Maitatsine escaped to the Cameroon and was not caught until 2004 when Obasanjo had ascended to power. To the best of my knowledge, nobody called on Buhari to resign even though he could not apprehend the leader of the sect. Is it too much to ask that Buhari show the same levelof understanding that Nigerians showed to him in 1984-1985 to the President? Some issues should be beyond politics. Anytime an elder statesman calls into question the abilities of ourarmed forces it goes a long way to weakening their morale and resolve which is precisely what should not be weakened when we face an insurgency such as the present one. Finally, I would like to advise Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) not to see security as just ajob for the government. It is a job for everybody. In other nations when terrorists strike politicians close ranks and unite against the terrorists. Our case in Nigeria should not be different. And indeed, I have cause to thank Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members of the House of Representatives from Major General Muhammadu Buhari's (rtd) party the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) who saw wisdom in the President's Declaration of a State of Emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states and voted in support of the declaration yesterday. This is precisely the type of multi partisan collaboration that will see Nigeria achieve her developmental goals. Regards, Reno,

|

So why didn't this story make the homepage? Are the Mods angry people can now see through Buhari? |
Seun neva still wake up? |
I found Ikenna's resignation very startling also considering how well he was doing. Howevery, I think your questions should've been directed at Ikenna not Seun. |
I kinda like the ainol line because of its huge online support so I'm willing to sacrifice the 3g to get one but if you've got any 3g 9 - 10inch, lie I said I'm open to suggestions. How much wld an ainol Hero preorder cost. Pls feel free to throw in any good suggestions. And lest I forget, I'll need the basic accessories, screen protector, keyboard case and capacitive pen. |
Balog's how much and how soon can I get the ainol Hero II tab? It's kinda urgent, I'm open to other suggestions with good battery life and processor but must be a 10inch tab. Pls reply. |
Is it not funny how this thread was ignored by the usual Fashola - Tinubu praise singers? Where's Eko Ile, Seanet, gbawe and co.? Let them come and justify why inequality and unequal development seems to be the number one economic policy if Baba Fashola |
Pls look away if you have zero sense of humour.

I keep wondering why Fashola hates the poor so much, not content with destroying poor and innocent peoples properties on land he's carrying over his insanity to the lagoon? Sometime ago there was talk of converting the Makoko settlement to some kind of African Venice and you'd expect the hypocrite to embrace the idea but no way, this one went on a rampage weeks later destroying peoples homes in a senseless rampage that left entire families drifting in the lagoon for weeks without end. They've managed to gather their lives back and just when the future of their children seems to be under real helpful consideration, the pauper - hating governor is about to roll out the marine bulldozers again! When in a few years this ids that are about to be denied basic education start robbing and bombing the rich hitherto pampered by Fashola and his band of elitists I hope his asslickers will recall how they all gradually sowed the wind. God help us all. |
At least the PDP steals and leaves the people in peace but these ones steal rob and trample on the poor. |
We are waiting for them in 2015,the only reason there hasnt been a revolt is because we are comforted there can be a change in a few years, we are patiently waiting for them. |
Hmmm, seems even MASSOB now has a PDP wing. |
wesley08: No warning, no notification? how tha hell am I supposed to learn a lesson? Its just ediotic to ban me for making a light hearted comment simply because the usual pig faced bigots took the opportunity to throw the usual ethnic / Ojukwu slurs. My comment was on the lily livered Minister that collapsed at the boom of a canon, I simply asked lightheartedly "where Oduduwa had gone when God was sharing Liver that her shildren had turned out to be wussies! I only said so for the humour as my second hidden post on that thread alluded to so why on earth was I judged on the platform of the lunacy of others? Do I have a history of tribalism? In a sane platform with sane mods my comments wld have been laughed off like most normal folks including Yorubas did, but in Nairaland with thoroughly incompetent Mods that dont know where to draw the line and with sense of objectivity irredemably blunted by ethnic affiliation and sympathy what do we have? Wussies jumping at opportunities to exhibit vacuos cyber power! What on earth is wrong with that OAMewu4 dude? I can bet the morones (Dayo and Seanet) that turned my comment into an ethnic war were spared! I just hope that ban doesn't reflect on my record, what rubbish! See me see trouble this new year O!LOLZZZZZZZZ...... |
^ A friend told me the PG hostel goes for 10k but its about 4 a room. My intention is to stay in town and shuttle but I don't know how buoyant I'll be yet. |

GARRI (x7): GARRI (x7): thelastPope: His name is GARRI (x7).Obviously |
Rhino.5dm:Is that the point? Did those people accuse and abuse the president unfairly or not? I ran thru that thread and these same people you're shielding continued abusing the President till the end. Now that there's incontrovertible proof that they didnt know what they were saying shouldn't the point be made? I just don't get people like you. |
Desola: Contrary to popular belief, I actually do not take Nairaland seriously at all and in as much as I would defend my Yoruba culture and heritage both on-line and off it, I would not discriminate against anyone on a mater of race or gender. I long for equity and fairness even though that side of me might not come afore on this forum. However, I want you to be rest assured that my perceived dislike for your people is not all that I am about - hard as it might be to believe.Wonders they say shall never cease, seems its going to be a good year. |
Grabbing a ringside seat. Any chance we'll get a part two? |
ypzilanti: Exactly. we should be discussing how to create things like online databases for all corruption related reports, or local governance watchdog groups. Or encouraging whistleblowers. Not debating which foooolish tribe is better than the other.Easier said than done. |
wesley80: Never fight with a pig, you'll both get dirty and the pig loves dirt! so this prolly is the last time I'll respond to you, So Squealer ( I'm sure you know something about Animal Farm) you can jump into the shithole and knock yourself out and while you're at it be generous enough to let a maggot crawl up your legs and place some eggs in you - surely that has to be the way your like reproduce their kind without polluting the rest of sane humanity! You said what? tell it to the third finger stuck into your poker face.Oh dear! oh dear!! oh dear!!! |
