I made this points as a general comment and observation on my take on the current Political Happenstance in Rivers State.

Police are shameless. Same with the other State-run institutions in our country including the Judiciary. This is not to disparage the institutions but a few top elements who keep 'dirtying' these fine and important institutions. It's a shameful thing that such important institutions would suspend their core mandates just to please a paymaster. That's a very disturbing development and the police top hierarchy should do a self check. Our people have a saying that if they send you a slave message, you should try to deliver that message as a freeborn.. a word is enough for the wise.

Governors are in total control of their states.
Yes that's a well known fact. The recent Automony given to the Local Councils was to take that total control from their hands but that hasn't seemed to be the case. Maybe the true Autonomy would come when everyone and everything settle down and evolve with time.

The people don't really count. Yes, the people don't really matter in this Nigerian project. At least that's what it seems. Someone said perhaps it's the way the ruling class have weaponised poverty. Just throw some money around and everyone and everything just align with you.. that's how the governors are able to have their states in their palms to the councilorship ward levels. Fubara did his calculations well. They made PDP hot for him and he chose another platform fews days to the elections and still coasted home to victory. The electoral bodies should look at our laws to make this fire-brigade takeover of a party impossible.

All these gimmicks is for 2027. I mentioned somewhere that Fubara was only trying to survive and that won't happen without some real fight. The outcome of these local council elections would determine who really controls Rivers state financially and politically. Rivers is a state with a heavy financial purse like Delta.

Wike currently controls both the APC and PDP in Rivers state. We all saw how everyone and everything in both parties aligned with him in this fight. My advice to him, he should strike while the Iron is hot. Instead of being in the middle and causing all these confusions in the state with the resources, both political and financial, at his disposal, he should use this opportunity to bring the key elements in both party together and form one strong formidable force. If he thinks he would continue with this get-it-or-spoil-it game that he's doing, the end won't be too good. He should think about what posterity would remember him for, like his predecessors.

Sadly the Judiciary who is supposed to set things aright and discourage future occurrence is already captured. They are even worse than INEC right now.

About rigging 2927 election, sushi attempt will be suicidal, I don't see how Tinubu will rig among angry northerners that might lead to something else, as for south east you know APC has no foothold there because you can't rig where you are not popular. I only fear for South south because it seems politicians rid them as they like, the brazen thiefry by Wike in last year's election and the recent concluded Edo governorship election make me think that votes from that region can be easily manipulated but then south south and South West can not win APC election

See, it was easier for the leaders of the then opposition to protest against Jonathan cos of Jonathan's personality. Jonathan is more of a Democrat than the likes of Tinubu, el rufai, Buhari and the rest.

Besides Jonathan's personalities as being a reason why he accepted all those riots, another reason was becos Jonathan knew that the opposing politicians had a control of the insurgencies in the north.
And there was nothing Jonathan could do about it.

The north had indirectly used all those Boko Haram and bandits and Herdmen to put fear in Jonathan's mind which limited his FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION.

It was this same fear that made Jonathan to CONSCEED so Easily to Buhari.

Also factor in that Jonathan comes from a minority-Tribe. Jonathan's only big external-link of backup from a majority-Tribe was Olusegun Obasanjo.

Within Jonathan's first year in office, he lost Obj, and Obj is the mouth-piece of the Retired Generals, Abdusalam, Gusau & Ibb,
