This cryptocurrency ban is highly supported hence it preserves our unity.
This bitcoin is used to sponsor terrorist groups like IPOB, Boko haram, bandits etc
This same bitcoin is also used for kidnapping.
We say NO to Bitcoin and yes to one Nigeria.

We should also ban the Naira or the dollar currency since it is also been used to sponsor terrorists or pay kidnappers.

Who PDP EPP, the same PDP that misrule Nigeria for 16years, the same PDP that cannot account for 16bill dollars spent on power, the same PDP that sold all our assets to friends and cronies at a give away price , which today has turn to national embarrassment, the same PDP that witness massive looting of public funds under gej thanks to dasuki and Alison, the same PDP that cannot complete a single project including their HQ after spending billions, the same PDP that condoles corruption and introduce rigging into Nigeria electoral process.

I think you need political revival.

As Nigerians we never focus on issues to solve it and get it right once and for all. And when someone raises a solution that we don't understand, we get sentimental and tribalistic.
The corrupt nature of the common Nigerian who will be employed to run government establishments like Nnpc and all it's attending value chain will ensure that we never move forward. Hence in sane climes government has no hand in business.
Government must deliberately chose to allow private investors to step in to the various sectors of our economy or else our ministries the minister and the employed staff in these ministries will become one big agency of corruption.

If you didn't save yourself and you obviously can't, why do you have to go back to what you where saved from. Is this action by itself not indicative of the fact that you don't value your salvation. If you ever go back to what you where saved from that thing will devour you.

I'm a big fan of Innosson but his marketing and sales team needs to be overhauled.

Sir I don't think we need marketers to explain to our government the impact of investing 5 billion on our local industry(INNOSON) and on unemployment and on the economy at large. If at this point given all the economic indices and hardship that we face and we need polished marketers to explain this then we elected the wrong people

There definitely needs to be more debate around this proposal, though I do agree it has some merits.

My major drawback to Tinubu's proposed QE is the Transmission Mechanism to ensure the new money gets to the Real & Productive sectors of the economy. Else this money will simply find its way into pockets of the 'cabal' and into financial markets - inflating asset prices.

All the same, it's quite stimulating and assuring to hear intelligent debate on sensitive matters like the Economy.

The plan sounds solid BUT since inflation is a high risk factor in this plan, I find it interesting that the consumption pattern of the poor will only help fuel inflation.
Suppose the government prints more money and channels it to infrastructure, this in turn will create more jobs but then the problem is that the wages earned will be spent on buying imported fuel, diesel, kerosene, imported house hold items, imported food items like foreign rice etc, and clothes. The end result will be inflation. Hence government must have a simultaneous approach to this issue if this plan must be followed by this I mean that govt must reduce imports by stimulating growth of local industries that services our basic consumption needs especially in the areas of oil refining, agriculture and heavy metal. They must also simultaneously increase power generation while providing infrastructure to service these industries. Only in this sort of simultaneous manner can this plan be beneficial.

I wont blame them , lots of people are wasting in Nigerian prisons just because of this kind of acts of love, Nigerian system is crazy, no emergency center to call and if u try to help, even the person might just say you are the one that hit him because he doesnt want to pay bill or doesnt have money to pay the bill.
If you think the well, in your mind you will just support the victims with prayer because the story of the good samaritan could have landed him in jail right here in Nigeria, but that shouldnt give us an excuse not to save a life, One thing i have noticed is Nigerians are always looking for the first person to stop and help, once one person stops others will follow suit,

Check out this scenerio
u helped the guy, because the doctors in most hospitals are not qualified, they will reject the person telling you to take him to the general hospital and if satan catches u, he dies in your car , you now went to report yourself at the station , the first thing they do is lock you up calling you a murderer not even a suspect oo or give u a benefit of the doubt, then before u know wassup they either ask you for a 100k bribe and if Satan now catches you the more , you dont have it, then thats how they will frame you for someones else death, and if devil wants to finish your life, if there is one rich man whose sons commits a criminal offence they could collect bribe then make you the victim.
Any wise Nigerian would do anything in his power to stay away from the Nigerian police because ive heard cases where police will change your name on their register that you will never be found.

May God heal this country.

Guy, what you just said is the Nigerian situation. But if you found yourself in this kind of accident situation, with you being the victim, am sure you would wish that someone would defy all this odds that you've mentioned to come to your rescue. Pray you never find yourself in this situation.

You are right! Tribe should not matter, everyone should be able to vote for their candidate, I have no problem with that but what I do have problem with is the fact that one candidate is inciting one tribe against the other, what I do have a problem with is Igbos claiming Lagos is a no man's land and that they'll determine the outcome of the election. My friend forget about what the Oba said or didn't say, it's all just politics!
My brother, politics and democracy is about influence to get the most votes. Obama used this to get naturalized immigrants to vote for him and he won. So if a candidate who is yoruba is trying get votes from Igbo's who reside in Lagos, shouldn't the other candidate do the same? Let ambode come out and campaign amongst the igbos. Besides, this is politicks like you said, so no tribe should feel incited, infact the word incite Shouldn't come up. The tide of politics in Nigeria is changing. Gone are the days of God father as a determining factor, I think both men should humbly and vigorously campaign amongst all Nigerians who live in Lagos state.
Politics / Re: Tinubu Blasts Party Leaders Over Loss To PDP by Kelly32: 3:52pm On Apr 10, 2015
arsetalks:
I am Yoruba. Ironic isn't it? The problem with the igbos is that you always want to go against the people who are your host. You regard the hausas as enemy but go to the north, you find thousands of igbos doing business there. Hypocritical isn't it? You see the yorubas as enemy yet you can't stay off their land and want to pick who govern them as well.

I think there is a problem with your views. As a democratic country Nigeria should move forward, but we still see things from an ethnic stand point because we don't understand democracy. Don't you think that this would not have been an issue, if the Oba had not made that comment he made? who says a yoruba man does not have a say in ENUGU by reason of his vote? A yoruba man is free to vote any Presidential, Governatorial, Senatorial, or House of reps candidate of his choice if he is in Enugu or any part of Nigeria. Besides, these two men are Yoruba's and Lagosians at that. Fine, their parties are different but whats the essence of democracy without opposition? Are the voters not Nigerians residing in Lagos who should exercise their civic rights? whats your point with the above statement?

arsetalks:
The majority who are Yoruba in Lagos will vote for APC but because of your "we are the victim" mentality, you want to go against those you perceived to be your enemies. One moment the Hausa are your enemy, the other moment it is the yorubas and the hausas.

What's the enmity in Nigerians voting for a fellow Nigerian, in a Nigerian state, under a democratic system of government? I don't get your enmity point. Everyone as long as you are a Nigerian, should be entitled to exercise his or her civic rights without fear, this is democracy.

arsetalks:
I try not to play the tribe card but fact has to be said. My friend ( I find it difficult calling them friends ) are igbos, they all agree the problem of the igbos is the "we are the victim" mentality. Not every igbo are like this though but the majority are. Sad fact.

But you played this card and its simply because you don't understand what democracy is all about, its about being free to chose in Nigeria.

arsetalks:
You see everyone as your enemy and try hard to upset the applecart. The blind knows APC has done well in Lagos. Yours is a meaningless protest vote.

I think you are the one that has this enemity view and besides if APC has done well as they claim, then Let Nigerians decide by their votes.

arsetalks:
Now I expect some uncivil people to quote and abuse me. They will not argue with facts, they will abuse.
I think your statements do not have facts well embedded in them. who says that an opposition party in Lagos can not do better than what has been done. You see the problem we as citizens have is that we are not critical in thought, ask your self why will an Oba in a democratic country make the kind of statement he made? the answer is simple they need a pawn, a puppet, who will only do as he is told because he was chosen. will such an arrangement move you to where you want to be? who says Lagos or indeed Nigeria cannot be better than they show you it is.

Very lengthy write up but it all boils down to one thing, perception! Can any Yoruba person or group dare go to Imo or Enugu and start shouting no man's land? Can any Yoruba person or group go into Imo or Enugu and shout that the election in those states will be determined by Yorubas? No matter how you look at it, the Igbos in Lagos are walking a very thin rope which might just snap any given day. All these issues would have been resolved if Igbos just maintain a calm demeanor and vote for whomever they like, you don't have to shout no man's land up and down trying to claim what is not yours. Yes Igbos helped build Lagos, yes Igbos should be able to vote for their candidate but that does not mean you all get to do whatever you like, Nigeria is still a country classified by ethnicity, Lagos perhaps is the most accommodating of all the States in terms of diversity and the Yorubas are probably the meekest of tribes when it comes to using force but don't mistake meekness for weakness !

My friend think about what you say, think carefully. These two men are Yoruba's and indigenous Lagosians or are they not?
Those who will vote will be eligible Nigerians living in Lagos who have their pvc's or are they not?
So why do you see tribe as an issue in this matter. If a politicians ideas are of my interest why should I not vote him. Hence, if agbaje's vision will favor Igbo's which am sure will still benefit the entire Lagos, why should they not vote him massively?
We do not understand the word democracy, and that's why the oba can come out and say he owns lagos therefore Nigerians must vote whoever he choses. Is this democracy?
Everybody everywhere should be able to vote any person they want Nigeria must move forward, away from these petty issue's.

Really, what can one safely say is the Igbos interest in Lagos? Their Voyage in Lagos is to achieve what ?

You will agree with me that igbos are in need of an economic, viable, peaceful Lagos. Large number of igbos live on commerce, from this its safe to say that the Igbos want a Lagos where there are government policies that promote the growth of commerce and business. A Lagos where infrastructural developments (e.g roads, bridges, hospitals , good transportation system , lighting ) is generally alive to their duties.

What do the igbos really want in Lagos?

Truth be told igbos are just strangers been harboured in Lagos Land. Lagos belongs to some people, in same way Enugu and IMO belongs to some people. Its high time the Igbos understand this and desist from going on their normal activities. Lagos is a no Man's Land. its own by the Yorubas.

So quick, the igbos have selected Jimi Agbaje and even sideline with him, as an adopted son same way they adopted the outgoing President Jonathan in the last election against their interest as a people, which has left them in serious political Quagmire / Ramshackle, to the extent that igbos senators are looking for way to be admitted into the APC

Taking a cursory look into the two Governorship Aspirant for Lagos state, let us ask deep down and answer truthfully some questions ;
A. what sets these two candidate aside?
B. Is any of them Igbo?
C. What is the igbos problem?

The Igbos have had a fair stay in Lagos. The igbos, live peacefully unlike Kano state. The yorubas are highly politically sophisticated people, with great wisdom and understanding that its better they having a government in Lagos that belongs to the same party as the party at the centre, and now you want to destroy this.

Conclusively, its allowed for everybody to vote any candidate he wants, but a collective move to vote against the strategic interests of the people who own the land where you all live and make your living is not allowed. Lagos has been good to Igbos, a lot of you have succeeded in Lagos. Do not disrespect the people of Lagos. Nobody has murdered the Igbos in lagos like what we have, are , and will see in the north. Lagos remains the only state in this country where Igbos hold top government positions. Even your acclaimed, Rivers State have never given the igbos that privilege despite their huge population and presence there.

The people of Lagos / Yoruba's wants Lagos to progress and on Saturday, They will proudly vote for Akinwumi Ambode. A+

The Change they want is here. And that's the change from difference between party to same party. Just imagine a beautiful Lagos with no political differences of any sort with the federal government.

Last Quote Advice: " Igbos should stop trying to be more catholic than the pope "

My brother it is the type of ideas that make it difficult for us to move forward as a country. Why is it that small petty tribal are usually magnified over the greater interest of the nation.

Had the oba not made the statements credited to him, the issue of Igbo's this and Igbo's that, wouldn't have come up? Besides agbaje is free to campaign to all NIGERIANS and I repeat ALL NIGERIANS Igbos inclusive.

In the UK, once you have the British passport, you are eligible to vote-in persons of your choice and that's how we now have Nigerian descents as mayors in UK.

I think the issue should be that of capacity to perform, but Why must we be tribal in our views and at the same time threaten life? For all I have seen Ambo has not been able to defend himself or speak convincingly on issues as it concerns Lagos. Its either the Oba defending him, or Fashiola, or tinubu or even YOU defending him it gives Nigeria and the view that he is just a puppet without a mind of his own that must be defended by the Oba (a puppeteer). So as a sensible Nigerian its obvious he is just a puppet, so why should I vote for him

Romance / Re: Women And Self-objectification by Kelly32: 4:27pm On Feb 21, 2015
Nneka123:
I totally understand your point of view and where you are

coming from with your point. You're actually talking about the women who just decided that they wanna show their booobs or asss on social media like Instagram. For example, if a girl was suppose to put a picture of not showing her breasts or ass, just a simple picture, she will not get as much likes, as she will, if she had a picture of her displaying her boobs. I'm not against you trying to prove this point that women are the cause of them being objectify, but first of all it's not in any way their fault! it's society. The idea that sex sell is a hallucinating idea, A false hope in some sense because when we try to sell sex, we try to sell subjectivity and objectivity, where men act as subjects and women acts as objects. And objects can never be empowered. So, even those models who are paid, they are not empowered, and they are not choosing it they are being forced to do it, As because of the existing male chauvinist society, where women are for being used for sex, to do work at home, to be a baby doll, etc.And that's what mainstream media tries to project and tries to sell women in this way.
In all those music videos, you will realize that women are unnecessarily asked to be dancing and shaking their ass! while men are in full clothes. most of the male singers are comfortable in clothes while female singers are overly sexualized and hyper sexualized to sell that music or video. It's not the fault of those women but it is the fault of those directors trying to promote those videos.

Anyways! your point wasn't bad. i understand where you were coming from.

My dear, I don't think you understand where she is coming from and your comment is overly loaded with IRRESPONSIBILITY. Your statements suggest that the problem is that of society, but I put it to you that these women on those video's are actually PAID (meaning they collect money) to trade-off their dignity. Hence they consciously weight the costs and the benefits before selling their dignity.

My dear it boils down to CONSCIENCE. Every lady that dresses the way she does has a motive, a reason, a purpose deep down her conscience that backs up what she does. But then there is a direct connection with her intent and how she sees herself, either as a cheap object to conquer sexually or as a person of prestige to be valued. So my dear, end this irresponsible talk of pushing the blame on society. After all, its us individuals and our actions that make up society.

so if GEJ is a joke and did this, what would you call his predecessors which includes Buhari, who should have laid these foundations a long time ago. Am not trying to exonerate GEJ because I think he could have done better.

However, if during his tenure he took on power and finalized the privatization process, took on rail road and is seriously overhauling it, took on the roads at least the federal roads and has significantly worked on them, turned around the manufacturing sector and we have companies like kia innoson and others establishing plants in Nigeria, took on agriculture and we see before our eyes a lot of young people going into agricultural ventures like catfish production, egg production, cassava production to mention a few, invested heavily in the Nigerian film industry and that industry is currently enjoying a boom and employing young people, invested heavily in education especially in the north given their backwardness educationally.

We should at least give him GEJ some credit to have done this a midst the level of decay that was prevailing when he came in. Obj both as a military and civilian president did not achieve this, other military presidents (including Buhari) did not do this even when they had the advantage of the barrel of the gun.

The best way to handle corruption is to put in checks... Layers of control, make every process electronic, reduce physical contact with funds... Etc.
