Here's my take which will likely not be all-encompassing because of the info you provided:

Since both jobs are legit and the Shell contract job will kick off next month, given the comparison of salaries: a little below 100k = 95k or 90k or 80k even vs. above 200k (210k or 220k or 225k), the Shell contract job is a better option.

Mathematically, if the other job pays 95,000 every month and you've got an expenditure and investment allocation of N45,000 a month, you'll save N50,000 every month.

Multiply that by 12 (months) and you've got N600,000 x 4 (years) = N2,400,000

For Shell, if she pays you N220,000/month and your expenditure and investment allocation is N75,000 a month (I increased this because of spending more when you earn more and also, if you get to work at Shell, I assume the prices of items there MAY be more expensive), you'll save N145,000 every month.

Multiply that by 12 (months) and you've got N1,740,000 x 4 (years) = N6,960,000

So...?

All those telling you to abandon your current job for this contract job have never experienced it. I wish i can communicate to you on phone and expose you to details. Ask yourself what you will do if community wahala stops the project after 3 months and you have resigned the old job. Ask yourself what you will do if your contractors owes you after three months of work. Don't be carried away with the name Shell. Corruption is terrible there. I have been there my dear and the experience was not pleasurable. This is a public forum i could have photocopied my shell ID as proof. nothing gives joy like a permanent secured job. Shell staff who were dropped during this crude price drop have not been able to secure another job let alone contract staff (so it's not guarantee to anything). Its also not about money. A bird at hand .... With a paid secured job i do a lot. Do you know how many oil and gas contracts were terminated just because of dollar and crude prices?(simple policies and decisions affect contract jobs and they have no end of contract benefits!). There are so many unknowns. You have the final decision.

At #250 per litter people are queuing up and rushing to buy fuel. One guy even bought up to 700 ltrs of fuel without blinking. What is happening in this country biko nu.

Its obvious you are confusing nuclear with solar. You don't have the capacity to manage it one bit. From sourcing, use and nuclear waste management you cannot manage it. Do your research well cos international bodies are discouraging it. Anyway site the plants in Lagos only.

Do we even understand the consequences of Nuclear power generation. We cannot manage small safety issues in Nigeria and we want to venture into nuclear energy. The hazard from sourcing, use and waste management is something we are presently not capable of handling. Do a check of the developed countries who use this as source of energy and see incidents that have happened in the past and see if we have the capacity to manage such incidents. Ordinary flood was a herculean task no talk of nuclear disaster. The coal in Enugu can generate energy enough to serve the entire country. I just pity the state where the nuclear plants would be sited. they can site them in Borno or Ogun
