I don't know if i am the only one seeing it this way............something is not adding up here. It was not a rape because rape victims go through a traumatic experience that makes them hate to see the rapists.
It's either this woman must have been cheating on her husband or the rapist used voodoo.
These are the two possibilities here. A woman cannot just move out of her husband's house after years of marriage to leave with her rapist because of good sex.

This is a typical Nigerian school situation. Every government school has this problem. When ASUU foresaw it and kicked against resumption without making the necessary arrangements, Vice-chancellors rushed to say they were ready. VC's don't lecture, that's why. Moreover, they have to obey the government if they still need financial help from them.

Bro. Righteousness, don't be surprised or feel insulted by the backlash.
The problem is that most people on Nairaland are gay and Biden is their saviour.
They are praying for him to secure them freedom here in Nigeria to practice their perversion. The truth is that we cannot stop it. The prophecy must be fulfilled before Christ comes. Remember, this world is not our home.
It is ruled by powers and principalities.
Let's forget them and focus on making Heaven, the home for all true followers of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Kylekent59:
You don't have to conclude based on one doctor's results. You have to run another test in another hospital.

He will chop your money and when you are wrecked, he would tell you that you are okay. As long as you are in Nigeria, use your head.

The problem with Nigerians is that most people are ignorant. "Based on one doctor's result"?. Are you serious? Is it the doctor that runs the tests? It is the lab scientist's job to do that! So it is not the doctor's result! The doctor only interpretes what is given to him and then treat accordingly.
That is why when I interprete results to my patients, I take time to explain even the meaning of every word I use. I show them their lab results and explain everything on it, then give any patient that wants a copy.
I feel sad that despite all the effort I put in to help patients, somebody is painting Nigerian doctors in bad light. Smh

Family / Re: Pius Angbo: Channels TV Reacts To News Of Their Staff Who Beat Up His Wife by Kendyrich: 10:04am On Dec 07, 2020
You need not tell us that you are not holding brief for the husband because your write-up says so.
It is clear also that you know this woman very well. I am just a nairalander and don't know the couple.
However,this is my submission:
1. There is no justification whatsoever for beating your wife. Bringing the woman's family history into her nuclear family is very wrong and it's just an effort to justify her current state.
2. If all the things you said about her are true and the man went ahead to marry her, then he must be ready to live with it.
3. When you agree to marry someone, you must be ready to accept your partner whatever becomes of him/her. This is why people must not rush into marriage and take lust to mean love.
4. Any man that beats his wife is a sissy because there are better ways of handling women. I am a married man.
5. Lastly, if Christ is truly the foundation of a marriage, then domestic violence will have no place.
Anyone who claims to be a man of God and still beats his wife is not a true man of God but just bearing the title, no matter how highly placed.
6. The couple needs help from an elderly man of God, not social media or channel's TV.
7. May God help them.

clarocuzioo:
The guy shouldn't have beaten her. I condemn domestic violence in it's entirety.

There's no justification whatsoever for this kind of beating.

But please i urge everybody to try and hear from the guy also before making comments. It will help us all.

Ifenyinwa just gave her own side of the story, how about the guy's side.

Six years ago when the wedding came up, we were so sure a day as this will come.

This girl shouldn't for any reason bring this to social.media. there's a family to report and families will handle this.

If we start saying things about her on social media, days will not be enough for her Chronicles.

Where do we even start? Do we start from her toxic mother getting pregnant for another man and pining it down on her father, later she will openly tell the whole Irette community that her husband is.impotent and that Ifenyinwa's father is different from her husband?

Do we start from her toxic mother terrorising the peaceful Irette community that earned her the popular name " TRANSFORMER," meaning when ever a transformer blows, everywhere will be calm. That name came about when her mother fought a mobile policeman and injured him seriously in the ear.

Do we start from her father grabbing the properties of her late elder sister till date claiming it's his ?

Do we talk about her mother travelling to Ijebu Ode for some stupid juju, only to have a terrible accident at St. Helen's Catholic Church Irette few minutes to her home?

Do we even talk about her mother confessing to terrible things she did , before her death?

Do we start talking about her early days in Bishop Lasbrey Girls Secondary School? Where when her father gives her school fees, she will put it in am envelope , and tell her classmates that her father from Abuja just sent her money, meanwhile her father is a driver in Owerri.

Do we talk about her promiscuity at early stage. In life? Let her kindly explain the circumstances that brought about " DADDY TAKE IT EASY IT IS PAINING ME". Her sexual escapades abound as a student in Bishop Lasbrey, her school mates can attest to this.

Do.we even talk about the illicit affair she was having with a certain prominent man from Irette who was also spraying her money during their wedding that people who knew what's up were laughing at the husband?

Do we talk about her wayward way of dressing even after her wedding?

There's a reason why Igbos around did not marry her, because when they ask questions and make enquires, they know she's just a girlfriend and not a wife.

It's unfortunate this guy used a girlfriend for a wife.

For anybody that cares to know more about this girl, please visit Onwu's compound in Irette, Owerri , Imo state and ask about her, you will understand better the kind of toxic personality she is.

NB : I am not holding brief for the husband. I am just seeing his picture for the first time now.

Romance / Re: Is It So Hard To Find A Good Woman To Marry? by Kendyrich: 3:41pm On Nov 30, 2020
Finding a wife depends on your person. Are you a child of God?

If no, then your finding a wife would be by luck, trial and error. No guarantee anywhere.

If yes, then The Bible says a good wife is from The Lord. There's just one way of going about it - depending on Him.
You have to pray and wait for Him to give you a wife.
First you have to know how God speaks to you because He speaks to us differently.
When you have known how He speaks to you, pray and ask Him for your wife, then wait and He will speak to you the way He usually does.
It has to be this way because only God can tell the end and the beginning. Humans are very cunning and only God knows the hearts of humans. This way of finding a partner is guaranteed. If you are not a child of God therefore, get born again first.
What about the people who are not born again but have been enjoying their marriages?
The answer is luck, then ultimately the mercy of God.
I am happily married to a very beautiful woman and both of us are children of God, to His glory.
Before I met her, I had two girls in my life and was confused on who could be my wife. Then I met my pastor who told me to withdraw from both, pray and wait.
In summary, I did what he said and eventually my wife came through. She was not any of the two I occupied myself with.
God help and be with you.

Career / Re: Why Are People In These Professions Very Rude? by Kendyrich: 7:04am On Nov 24, 2020
I think you hate doctors because of envy or something.
You seem not to even have an understanding of how the hospital works at all even though you appear to.
Nurses in private hospitals (usually owned by doctors) are nice and caring because they know they can be fired any time if there are complaints from patients.
Nurses that are rude are those in government hospitals where doctors and nurses have equal rights. A doctor has to even beg before some nurses carry out their duties. There nurses are not under the control of doctors but listen to their superiors only. They do whatever they like and nobody can talk to them except their superiors. Government work is like that anywhere in this country, not just the hospital.
In private settings however, anybody( all employees) can be ordered around like in any other private business e.g schools

You also seem not to know that all other professionals in the hospital apart from doctors are under one umbrella called JOHESU. Their strike is the worst. When doctors go on strike, they just withdraw their services, that's all...but when JOHESU goes on strike, they lock up the entire hospital so that doctors that are not on strike cannot even use the hospital.
Summary: It is laughable to adduce the behavior of nurses to ill-treament by doctors. It shows gross ignorance.

ethicallyright:
Nigerian nurses are used as domestic servants by doctors that they are older than sometimes. This causes deep inferiority complex and aggression which they transfer on patients who book an appointment with a doctor through them . Each time a patient gets to a doctor through them in a hospital, they are reminded of their gross irrelevance in the scheme of things. Have you ever heard of "Nurses strike"? That's how irrelevant they are. I'm describing auxiliary nurses here not matrons and midwives.

Employees you meet at commercial banks are not necessarily banking professionals who understand accounting and economics. Those that collect deposits and customer service officials are usually contract staffs who are made to work like slaves for cheap wages. The only difference between these people and the bank security is their uniform. You most likely have never spoken with a real banker at a bank. The real bankers stay in inner rooms and enjoy their lives.

When you see a "NEPA" staff , there is a high probability that he is coming to disconnect your line because of debt. If you are honest and pay your electricity bills , they will start smiling at you like they smile at me.

Most Nigerian doctors become angry when they remember that you will give their credit to your pastors as testimonies in church. It's really a frustrating thing to think about.

Most of you are talking trash here because you are not married, neither do you fear God. We are talking about somebody's wife, not a fiancee or girlfriend! I feel for the man, maybe he didn't know how to react- overwhelmed by shock. I am not in support of the man fighting another. If your spouse cheats on you, settle it with him or her. Don't go fighting. May God save us from seeing evil, in Jesus Name.

Family / Re: Why Women Shouldn't Bother To Lose Weight by Kendyrich: 10:57am On Nov 13, 2020
Weight loss has two components: 1. A health component 2. A social component.
Your post only addressed the latter i.e the social aspect. The health component is the most important of the two. When you are this big, it is said you are obese.Obesity is defined using one's BMI ( body/mass Index. The normal BMI is 18.5 - 24.5. A BMI between 25 - 29.5 is overweight, while a BMI from 30 upwards is termed obesity. Obesity has many health problems. From my experience, these include:
1). Diabetes mellitus: Obesity is a risk factor for type-2 diabetes and a central part of the management of this disorder is weight loss.
2). Hypertension: Obesity is also a risk factor for hypertension ( high Bp). Weight loss is key to managing hypertension.
3). Other cardiovascular diseases such as ischaemic heart disease caused by narrowing of the blood vessels supplying the heart due to especially fat deposits.
4). Hospital-associated: Obese patients pose a challenge with carrying them in the hospital when there is an emergency. Health workers avoid carrying them to their bed or operating table so that they themselves will not start having waist pain. Obese patients easily have pressure sores when on admission. Obese people are a big challenge especially in the operating room.
5). Obese people are prone to injuries especially fractures when they fall.
6). The wounds of obese people do not heal easily and is prone to infections because of the fat.
7). Obese women are more prone to having gallstones ( stones in the gallbladder) and fibroid.
cool. Burns injuries are worse with obese people.
I can go on and on. People should try to lose weight for health reasons. The social reasons depend on one's self-esteem. Do not feel less or inferior. You are perfect in God's eyes and anyone that loves you would like you the way you are. Anyone advising you to lose weight should be for health reasons, not to look sexy.

Trump does not hate us for being African or Nigerian. He hates the injustice, the terrorism link to us and the tendency to commit crime inherent in some Nigerians. Romance / Re: I Proposed Marriage But I have now Lost Interest by Kendyrich: 12:27pm On Jun 23, 2020
NEWBIN:
We have known each other for about six months now. I proposed to her in March 2020 and kept telling me she was thinking about it.

Just yesterday, she said yes to my proposal and I was so excited. When I met her yesterday evening, she told me Friday (June 26) is her birthday and that, she expects a lot of gifts and mobile money from me. My bowels became full instantly so left to go ease myself.

I have lost interest. Show me a way to outsmart this fraudster of a lady, thanks.

Do not lose interest yet, bro. It's also possible that she wants to see your reaction.
My advice: Try to also see her reaction by just calling her on her day, sending sweet messages, and praying for her. Do not give any material gift.
Do this, then wait to see her reaction.
What you do next depends on her reaction. Pray to God for a good wife, bro.
