yaki84:And the leaders are from space right? They dropped out of the sky straight from Mars?? Or maybe we imported them from somewhere in Europe or Asia? Every country’s leaders are simply a product of their society. Our leaders are only but a reflection of how rotten our society has become over the last few years. |
This is what happens when you have a broken system, broken society as well as a broken state of affairs. A country where not even one of its sectors works as it ought to or to its full potential. This is simply a case of animals turning on animals. The drivers probably have no proper license, the vehicle probably has no proper papers, the system is not effective enough to check offenders and punish them adequately, people can bribe their way when they commit crime on the road and people can just take any car they like and enter the road without any consequences. The ones who beat up these drivers might be guilty of all the above crimes and offenses, yet they turn on their fellow offenders while blaming their leaders for all their problems...... Nigeria’s problems lies at the feet of the masses from whom the leaders are chosen every four years. |
Enwhen:Nigeria would come close when we stop behaving like animals. The problem is not the government, the problem lies solely at the feet of the people; we the common people are the problem of this country. See America, no deployment of soldiers and police, why? Simply because the people know how to behave themselves during an election and they know it is not a do or die affair. But here in Nigeria............ |
saaphiere:God is in everything?? Even in the poverty, hunger and disease ravaging many people across the world. That is how you people go about trying to deceive non-believers that God loves them unconditionally. I ask you, if he loves and cares so much why is there so much suffering and hardship in the world? Which kind love be dat? I refuse to believe that a supreme being with the power to fix any and everything simply decides to watch as things go badly. He is definitely doing a pretty shitty job and needs to booted off his almighty a$$. The current state of the world is not something to be found on the resume of a supreme being. |
slawormiir:Oga na just better camera and lens oo. Nothing special for the interior of the house. |
Jeromejnr:Crap! Kim who?? Who da hell is he? You just go about believing every and any dumpster prophesy. Thats how some still believe in T.B Joshua who couldn’t predict his own building’s collapse yet could predict elections in far away America. Smh! ![]() |
Kingpele:Try and use punctuations (full stops, commas, e.t.c) to make whatever you write readable. Geez. How hard is that ![]() |
Olarewaju89:That is only if “hell” truly exists; for now it is just a hoax. |
Peterjnr123:Same God who is comfortable seeing people suffer and die due to hunger, poverty and disease right? |
Blackmoran: ![]() Looks like you recently arrived in Nigeria. Ask one of your local friends to put you up to speed about the antics of the average Nigerian politician to win elections and gather support from his community/state. Have you heard of the politician who bought ropes for members of the community to tie their goats and boldly took photos and shared online?? |
Okoroawusa:Chai! You statement is a clear evidence of the devastating effects of poverty, illiteracy and total lack of exposure to true and proper development...on the human mind Come see pedestrian(foot) bridge for oyibo land....shey lagos dey forbid to get bridges like the ones below?!
|
Dididrumz:When Nigerians/Africans stop believing in the superstitious, until then, stories like this would continue to grace the front page of Nairaland. |
Gerrard59:Well said. I have seen Nigerians speak foreign languages enn, fear catch me as dem dey flow; due to interest and commitment to learning it as it boost their chances of better jobs and a better life in the country. |
Or11:Chai! See as shame dey catch me for you. Languages that your fellow Africans can understand within two years and in their third year they start speaking fluently. I am a living testimony to that. And you are here bragging that after four years you can’t speak a foreign language. I can bet there are Africans in that same country who speak that language fluently after four years or even less. As someone said, its just simply you who doesn’t want to learn the language. |
Okika123:Don’t mind dat one. Something his fellow Africans go there and learn within two years. |
vastolord4:Only in an insane and backward country are people very comfortable just giving thanks for surviving accidents instead of doing what they ought to do to fix their driving system and culture, state of their roads and state of affairs in their transport system in general. I have not seen any accidents here in the abroad; not even motor spoil for road and dem kom dey push am and you wonder if these people have two heads. |
Hintona:If he isn’t hiding, please tell me what he is doing; being very very close to his people right?! ![]() |
Canvass:They simply want to eat their cake and still have have it. |
Asquare84:He may be getting paid for been jobless. European nations like Germany do it. Can you say the same about the country on whose behalf you are bashing him? Better go and look for the Covid-19 pallative warehouse near you to break in or else hunger go finish you this week |
cruxgemmata:Not a single sense in what you just wrote. Public properties should be burnt so money looted would be used to repair them ![]() Guess you enjoy taking a step forward, then two steps backward. |
Oshigun:First, you must be one of those who recently picked up the word “simp” hence you are throwing it all over the place when you don’t even know the meaning nor when or how it should be used. Secondly, what part of that statement was offensive? You are the only one finding it offensive as I cannot find people on and offline calling for a retraction of that statement because they found it offensive. You are simply pained, pissed and spiteful; for what reason I don’t know. I guess, Nigeria’s problems are weighing heavily on you beyond your power. Don’t worry, it would be alright. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. So take it easy. Eat well, drink lots of water, get enough sleep and keep working hard. You would be alright. |
Officialgarri:Continue having confidence in him while he and his likes keep stealing your future. |
Oshigun:She is a Nigerian, the people killed at the gate were Nigerians, the people who did the killing were Nigerians, the people who sent them to do the killing at the toll gate were also Nigerians. And last I checked, freedom of speech on Nigerian issues is enshrined in the Nigerian constitution, guaranteeing that Nigerians can speak freely on the issues affecting them pertaining to their country. Please start making proper use of that thing inside your head called “a brain”. |
princeade86:You referring to a president who takes two weeks to read a speech written by his aides? |
wizzyrich:That one who could not see the collapse of his own building but could see the winner of the 2016 election in far away U.S? ![]() |
WibusJaga:I also used the phrase “our country”. So as you can see I am a Nigerian. |
Viicfuntop:They would be convulsing and foam in their mouths on seeing these photos ![]() |
Until Nigerians start calling for a total overhaul of the system, then I begin to take the protests seriously. Sars/Police is just a single aspect of the rot in our country. Until then...
|
This one na clout chaser, pure and simple! Her and her likes simply sat back to watch and see what happens before making a move. I’m sure if there was a rampant arrest of protesters, killings, sporadic shooting, military take over of the streets, ban on all protest nationwide....this lady would not be outside protesting today. The real protesters took to the streets when it all started. Risking everything even their lives. All others are simply playing catch up and putting up a show. |
MyVILLAGEpeople:My exact thoughts! |
myBraine:Something is not right in what you just scribble up there. The question here should be “how did he get the money to build such”? He was a public servant before acquiring all those wealth. Not that he was already a successful businessman before getting into govt. But “boom”! After leaving power he becomes one of the richest men in the country. As a sane and supposedly educated person, you should be asking “how he got that wealth which he never had before becoming governor of Lagos state”. Try reason well for once oga and stop contributing to the already stinking rot in the Nigerian system. |
