The best thing to ever happen to Kwara State in a long time is Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazak. No wonder he was nearly assassinated. Kwarans are just now enjoying the little semblance of governance which the likes of Lagos, Kano and Akwa Ibom have been enjoying for years He's efficiently unearthing the deep corruption and corrosive damage done to Kwara. Civil servants in Kwara State now put in their very best! No more late coming or incompetence or you'll lose your job. Most revenue generating properties are in comatose, yet the greedy Emir, past government officials and clerics who have sold their religion and conscience for a pot of porridge keep colluding to siphon public wealth and taxing the few companies in the state to death. I expect EFCC should have at least two offices in Kwara State by now. By the time he's (AbdulRahman) through with those wicked, greedy, heartless beasts, they'll willingly buy bottles of sniper and do the needful. ![]() |
Yet the state government recently "renovated" the Government House with 3.2 BILLION Naira, a house he hardly sleeps. Only to be traveling up and down. The state liaison office at VI is one of the worst building there and typifies the affairs of the state. SMES and industries are absent, idle youths everywhere no real progress! The so-called zoning is killing the state, and foolish masses agreeing to a stupid setup that benefits none but the ruling elite and soothing their ego of having a governor from their side of the state. Rubbish. Anyways, the state is already reaping the fruit of her collective greed of accepting pittance to sell your vote instead of voting a more competent person. Enjoy the Abu Lolo's term! |
@ Sexyto, It's called a skink. Most likely a Thierry cylindrical skink. No need killing them as they are like the ordinary Agama lizard and not venomous/poisonous or pose any real threat to humans or livestock. |
FG is on the right path. There's no gain without pain. Nevertheless, ban medical tourism, overseas education for ALL government officials' ward. The 'pain' should go round. |
Loss of trust in the police, savagery, hunger, Illiteracy, inhumanity sums up the picture. Except he murdered someone or caused the death of someone with EVIDENCE, its a grave sin to kill. I wonder how these jungle judges and lawyers sleep soundly at night. Yet they'll fill places of worship and shout more than others. |
The length Western countries will go in supporting impunity is too crazy and nonsensical. Somebody died while fornicating (or maybe adultery) which is entirely his business and the next thing is to hold the organization he works for responsible. Responsible for WHAT exactly? |
Amopeekun:I'll keep saying this, Kwara and Oyo and to an extent Lagos are arguably the biggest winners in the last election! |
Very strange country. Capital expenditure will be trimmed but the abominable salary/allowance for our Honourables were not trimmed. As a matter of fiscal emergency CANCEL the <10bn budgeted for the Legislative arm to buy new cars. If Aso Rock clinic will be is redundant, cancel the 1bn+ budget appropriated to it. The two presidential aircraft, a Falcon 7X executive jet and Hawker 4000 should be able to fetch us about 8bn. Cancel all useless/less important programmes and start saving money. My point is Nigeria can fund her budget 100% locally only if we start sitting down, becoming responsible and damming all consequences and whoever might be hurt. Nigeria has over 56,000 abandoned projects nationwide (federal and states) valued at N12 trillion by the Chartered Institute of Project Management of Nigeria in 2017, higher than the 11,886 projects valued at N7.78 trillion estimated by a Federal Government panel in 2011 Punch Newspaper, April, 2019). By now, I expect EFCC should be recruiting Quarterly and more correctional facilities been built and make all the wicked leaders vomit the stolen fund EFCC should go after ALL administrations (present and past) that received the "Paris Fund" and refused to use it for what it should be used for. Keep borrowing anyhow, by the time China and Co comes for their money and start seizing our assets, our eyes go clear. Though as far as I'm concerned I don't owe anyone a Kobo! |
Enough of the baba 70s, we need young people with creative ideas, not expired ones. The "yoots" are still not ready to wrestle power away from them. |
Seun and the mods (Lalasticlala, Mynd44, Dominique and co)! I'm sure you know it is very insulting and inhuman to accomodate dehumanizing act of posting mutilated and dead people's pictures. Do have them censored. If the Bloggera persist. BAN them and blacklist their sites. Bloggers, the hustle is real and you need to survive, but in the interest of humanity, imbided the ethics of JOURNALISM and STOP posting graphic pictures and pictures of dead person. In saner climes, you could get in serious trouble. Plus, the act slowly dehumanizes everyone who view them to the point where natural human empathy and sympathy will be nonexistent. Please, if you are in an accident scene or so, and anybody pulls out their phone to take pictues of the victim, I repeat, do not hesitate to strongly warn or SMASH such phone. Expensive or not. My heartfelt sympathy to the victims Again, stop posting graphics pictures! |
wellmax:In as much as I support your view that the taskforce has no such right, stop talking as if Southern Nigeria is Eldorado: 1. Kidnapping 2. Cultism. 3. Ritual killing. 4. Drug peddling. 5. Witchcraft labelling. 6. Baby factories 7. Prostitution 8. Yahoo-Yahooism The entire nation is unwell in lots of areas. Try shunning your myopic view. |
So forceful Hairstyling is now Gov. Bello's concern. I'll not be surprised if he lists it as one of his achievements. No single development in the state. Pathetic. |
See protest oo. Even their Government dare not propose such kind of bill again! |
Only if Governor Wike is this active in clamping down on cultists, Rivers would have been better off. |
As a learned Barrister, someone dressed in a Fulani regalia means he's a Fulani man? What an hasty concluson! |
Cultism/gang war Kidnapping Prostitution Broken families Irresponsibles parents Etc. Rivers state, a state that should have been one of the best all-round in Nigeria has totally been reduced to a gangland! |
Coming from a grossly incompetent organization. What happened to issuing ID cards at the spot like banks issue ATM Cards at the spot. No, you'll have to wait for years for the so-called permanent ID card as if it's rocket science to mass produce them. |
Nairaland and the glorification of fornication! When years back they'd never have tried this nonsense in most Nigerian communities. Now Nigeria is witnessing the proliferation of BASTARDs here and there, and the best thing thus mods can think of is to bring this rubbish to the front page. |
Most of what #Revoultion now is agitating for should have been the norm assuming if Nigeria were to be a sane country. With the enormous population of Nigeria's youth. If 2,000 youths each at least, protest across at least 25 states in Nigeria, with about 5,000 alone in the FCT, even the Law Enforcement will think twice before shooting anyone. A revolutionist is never afraid of dying on the path of freedom and justice. But trust the youths, nobody wants to pay any form of price, one shot or few wads of Naira notes, the whole protest will be sabotaged, and everyone will scamper. Nigeria of today, many people will rather die saving a wall gecko rightfully so, than protest for anything in Nigeria. Who wants to die fighting for a demography who will rather shout and stay in the their beds while at best shouting online without any form of cogent action? |
A Hardworking guy looking for his daily bread being shot and badly injured is a sad case. How the state Governments of Lagos and Ogun states still allow those useless, lazy beings to operate leaves less to be desired. |
Mass shooting again? Most likely a White supremacist. If it's a Black, Hispanic or Arab now, PooNN (CNN) and co will already be agog. Crime-related death everyday in the US from gang violence to suicide to police shootings. But their media will almost always keep a lid on it except the ones that already leaked. But in Nigeria, some fame-hungry bloggers will be the first to post such news accompanied with gory pictures of the victims without no verification nor thought on how such act further contributes to the destruction of the country's image in the international scene. Please anywhere there's an accident, a fight, or so, and people are dead, mutilated or badly injured, while others assisting the victims, never hesistate to issue a strong warning or at best smash the phone of whoever tries to take such pictures without consent. |
Wouldn't it have been better if the Government crossbred them with the local ones adapted to the Nigerian terrain. That way, you'll make them less susceptible to local diseases, and still get an appreciable quantity of meat/milk. Plus, you train selected, interested farmers and sell the crossbred cows to them at cost-effective rate. You don't cut the hand to spite the face. I'm no pessimist but I don't see this project as lasting except the government plans to continuously import cows, which will be very myopic of them. I'm sure millions/billions have been sunk into the project. Some bigots are already applauding this weak move. |
Obainoneandonly:So for discarding the nonsense you spewed, you automatically concluded I'm an Hausa/Fulani .Plus, from your dimwittedness, someone not being acadmically sound= love for government job![]() Like someone said you grossly lack exposure. There are loads and loads of people up North who will give you a run for all your perceived academic worth! |
Obainoneandonly:Blah blah blah. Usual nonsense from a falsehood monger who thinks Nigeria is still in 1945. Travel round the North, and you'll meet loads of peeps who'll give you a run for all you worth— Academically etc. This is definitely not to excuse the occurrence. |
Pastorpreneurs full town like say tomorrow no dey. Them touch not my anointed zombies will soon arrive. Trust me, it takes one/few determined journalist(s) to unearth the scams going on from the big GOs to the smaller GOs. From the free masonic rapist called Fatoyimbo to the "holy water"-exporting fraudster called TB Joshua. Time will definitely unravel all! |
If the other players (farmers etc.) in the Agric chain have to purchase land(s) with their hard earned money, there's no justification as to why the Fulani herdsmen have to be given land for free. They must all buy like others. You kill, maim and frt pampered again by the government!!! The globe-trotting Governor obviously do not understand the rudiments of governance. |
E don dey happen. We will live to watch the very end by God's grace. |
wis3:Neither do yours count too. By the way, I'm not in support of whatever atrocities the group have committed, but proscribing should have been the very last option. Hordes of Nigerians have been victims of armed Bandits and killer herdsmen killing people and destroying their source of livelihood, what exactly has been done? Isn't it ironical that the President now obeys "the Courts" he has defied their order to release the Man. |
So this is the best solution the FG can come up with ! Too bad. |
