My Samsung J7 Pro screen got crashed on Sunday and I took it to Samsung office Ibadan on Monday to repair the screen (25k huh) they told me within 3 days, but up till now there is no green light. My work is stagnant since then.

I am thinking of getting a new phone and a friend suggested Redmi note 8 pro for me.
Can you advice me??
My Budget: 70k - 100k

Please, does Redmi note 8 pro has remote control features?
(What do I mean by this? I have a client in Ukraine that uses my phone for game testing via mtn network, she connects to my Samsung phone via Host app, and navigate and scroll through my browser to do the testing herself. Do you know if redmi note 8 pro can do this too)? I have infinix hot s but it can do it. I purposely bought the Samsung for this task 2 years ago.

Any advice please.

Thanks
CareerRe: Have You Ever Been FIRED At Work? Share Your Experience! by Kescott(m): 1:27am On Mar 09, 2020
CokeBar:
Share your experience with us if you have ever been fired. It would be better if we can share:

1. Why we were fired?
2. How did the firing process happen?
3. Aftermath of being fired… how did you feel, have you recovered, did you get something better?

So, I’ll start:

Sometimes last year, I got an unbelievable offer (well above #750k) at a remote company. I bought a PC, subscribed for large data and set-up a workspace. On Monday which was resumption day, I turned on my PC, logged in and started the online meeting… everything went well for the first day and I got introduced to my colleagues. My friend and I actually got employed for same position, so we usually chatted while working. To be onboarded, we had to install a productivity monitoring tool on our PCs, we were told everything we did on the PC would be captured if the tool was turned ON but I really don’t know why I cared less.

On Wednesday same week, we had a short and simple test, during the test, I asked my friend for an answer as I wasn’t so sure, he responded and that was it.

On Thursday, I had a quick one-on-one call with my manager, I was fired. Apparently, I wasn’t supposed to ask for assistance while taking the test. I apologized but the answer was a straight NO (you sabi how oyinbo people strict). So in other words, I was sacked because I cheated ☹.

Well, they paid me for the few days I worked

I have experienced other sad situations, but this has to be the worst. I was so depressed, the following Sunday, I went to Church and it was while Pastor asked us to greet our neighbor, I remembered I didn’t brush… LMAO.

Now, I got something with abit lesser pay but still very chilled grin
Thanks for sharing..I will love if you can help out with useful link best sites to apply for remote jobs..by the way, I'm also into IT though not a programmer but good in Networking and Security, Data Analytics, web designing and an expert in designing PowerPoint presentations. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
FamilyRe: I Have Been With Him For 5 Years, No Sign Of Marriage by Kescott(m): 12:39am On Mar 07, 2020
Ineedtoheal:
Hi Famlanders, Please I need your advice. I beg you all to save a sister. I have to bring this here coz I know it's where I will get wonderful contributions. Again, I am using this new account coz I have friends and customers here. I don't want to blow my cover. Please this is real and not fiction. This will be quite lengthy, please bear with me.

I met this guy in 2013 when I was in year one. It was not a steady relationship coz we barely call nor see so I didn't take him serious. And whenever we see, it was always at one friends house or another. I accused him of being married but he vehemently denied it. Later on I figured out he had accommodation issue after he lost his job. He later rented a house when he got another job with one of our prestigious federal universities here in Nigeria and that was when things became serious (kinda).

We became very serious around 2016 that is why I count it as 5 years instead of 7. But then during one of my visits, I was sleeping in the room when I overheard him talking to someone but the only thing that caught my attention was when he said "I don't even have a girlfriend". Though I didn't confront him, but I thought about it deeply.

Two nights ago, I had a dream where he was getting married to another lady. I was crying while he was still saying he loves me but can't marry me. I confronted him yesterday, he said I am pressurizing him to marry me that was after he first asked what will happen if we don't end up together. He hasn't told me where the relationship is leading to after 5 years. We have been living for the moment. Just for the moment!

Few info about the relationship
1) He will be 40 this November while I am 27.
2. He has always had numerous girlfriends that when he's with them, he doesn't pick my calls though he always apologizes and he's trying his best this year.

3. He always send pictures of other women to his friends to let them know they are the people he wish to marry but never has he sent mine. Though he claims he's not doing it again.

4. From the look of things he's still searching while he wants to have me all to himself. Maybe a second option since the others are not accepting him and I love him foolishly.

5. The relationship is 50 -50 .We spend on each other. He believes it's the woman's duty to do all the house chores but not the man's duty to take care of the woman.

6. On his Fathers burial last year, 3 of his girlfriends came (me inclusive) and we all wore the burial uniform. Together, we served his guests even when we realized we are dating same man. His neighbors were giggling and gossiping but we all decided to be matured and work together.

7. When my sister that raised me died, he didn't come for the burial. his reason was he had supervision that day in school, same person that calls his colleague to cover for him during exam supervision so he could do other things. He also didn't send me any money but he questioned me for not giving him any money for his Father's burial. Even when I paid him excess for the burial uniform. I know why I did that. Mind you, he has asked me before if he can give one of his ex 10k during her Father's burial which I agreed and he sent her the money.

8. I have rejected some suitors who were willing to marry me coz of him. Though he has never encouraged me to accept any of them. In fact he gets angry hearing that another man is coming close to me.

9. He doesn't call often, I do more of the calling though he always return my calls. He can stay for days without calling unless I call. I know I have been the one holding the relationship coz I thought he will change.

10. Sine 2017 till last year, all I did was forgive him coz I love him. He keeps bringing new / different ladies into the picture. I have gone through a lot of emotional stress. He keeps asking me to stay that he loves me but he's confused.

His good side: He's understanding, motivates me to do my best, he doesn't hit me, he is gentle.

Me on the other hand is sometimes stubborn though very faithful coz I love him to a fault. I easily get angry but forgives easily. When I'm angry I talk so much but I don't abuse him. He is simply the cause of all my anger. He always say I am very understanding, a good girl, drama free but yet he doesn't want to marry me and won't let me go too. I have never involved a third party in our relationship except my late sister who said she wish I will walk away from the relationship because I love the guy more, that it won't end well. All my friends thinks I have a perfect relationship because I don't discuss him with them.

Back to last night, I told him I won't call him again coz he said I am pressurizing him to marry me. The truth is I have seen the hand writing on the wall, not today but two years ago but I keep going back. Please I need advice on how not to go back again. The love he proclaims for me is not enough for him to marry. I have wasted enough time already. Maybe hearing the raw truth here will help.
I am available oh. I am single, never been married and not in any relationship

RomanceRe: My Ten Year Struggle With Sex Addiction Is Ruining me. by Kescott(m): 7:43am On Jan 10, 2020
@Poster this is my one cent but I hope it helps. Your issue is more spiritual than it is physically because the spiritual controls the physical so first thing is to work on the spiritual aspect first.
Secondly, you have an unusual sex drive (Lidibo) and it is completely natural in most cases. I also suffer from a habit that I am not proud of but I am a work in progress.
If I were to be in your shoes, what would I do?
First I will go back to God. Talking to God is the simplest thing to do in life because He is always listening however hearing from God is the most difficult because of too many distractions as you already know I presume. Now talk to God as you would talk to your earthly father, let Him know your challenge but this time, don't try to help God to help you. Allow Him to help you through it completely. You need to stop helping God to help you. Finding things to distract you is only temporary. I had a friend that told me how he cured masturbation was first to avoid the triggers and then He prays and kabash every time a thought of it comes to him, and one day he realised he doesn't feel the urge anyone.
I also need to point out that in your journey to abstainence you will have relapse, you will fall but don't allow the devil trick you into believing that you are irredeemable. Don't remain down when you fall, rise up, ask God for forgiveness and each time, the lessons learnt, the triggers, and more importantly prayers can do a long way to solving the issue.

I just found answers to the habit I wrote about (Masturbation). I also need to mention that I started masturbating about six years ago and it is not frequent, sometime, I won't for months until I let my guards down and I have not slept with any woman for over 19 years because I made that commitment (Vow) to God until marriage.

Thank you for sharing your story and I appreciate the efforts to get right with God because that's the ultimate goal

Roadtorecovery:
Good evening everyone.

I have struggled with sex addiction for the past 10 years with out permanent success especially with regards to visiting and sleeping with prostitutes and keeping my mind off sex.
Presently I cant seem to keep my mind of sex and focus on my life and career.

I have a good Job and a beautiful damsel whom i have promised marriage and I am afraid I might loose any if not both of this if I don't stop, think and act NOW.

Since is a habit I learnt over time, how do I unlearn this habit permanently.

Please has anyone been able to get over sex addiction successfully.

My recent relapse after 10 months of celibacy threw me off balance and presently I have lost touch with God, friends and family because of this demeaning lifestyle.

Today after 2 weeks of relapse and wallowing in self pity, I have decided to restart all over again with strong determination to take into consideration the lesson learnt from my last relapse as I plan to adopt a better approach to ensure I conquer this habit.

I have spoken with one of spiritual director who understands sex addiction above my expectations and he is very supportive.

I have also opened up to my younger Cousin brother who also understands what it feels to suffer addiction.

I also confessed to my lady about my relapse and strong determination to quit and she is helpful and supportive but with the condition that she may not cope if I should suffer another relapse.

My addiction and its resultant consequences have made close family and friends loose their respect and confidence in me.

Above all, i feel so separated by God who have done so much for me .

I want to pick my self up and fight because of

1.God
2.Myself
3. Family
4. My girl friend

At this point I need all the help I can get to snatch out my life out of satanic bait to ruin me forever

Any professional here can please save a frustrated brother. I have not give up.

The way you girls think self ehn, once you're in a relationship with an average Nigerian girl, it has automatically become your responsibility to be doing the calling while her own responsibility is to be at the receiving end... "He stopped calling as he used to"
Relationship should be a 50-50 stuff.
The relationship failed because of lack of communication: because your responsibility is to wait while he calls while you receive
I agree with your assertion to the point where you said 50-50. It is actually 100-100 and yes, that mentality of entitlement from ladies kills relationship and marriage faster. See relationship like Life, you need to do all you have to do to stay alive and healthy. Everything you need to do to spice it up, you MUST do else the in no time, that relationship/marriage becomes lifeless.
@Poster, if you are still in secondary school, you got a lot ahead of you, relationship will definitely take you no where, this is the time to work towards building a future for yourself and not dependent on man or uncle. Build yourself skills wise, network wise, etc. Relationship will happen when you least expect it.
RomanceRe: How Long Have You Been Celibate And Why? Share Your Experience by Kescott(m): 4:35pm On Dec 15, 2019
Here is my story:
I was abused at a young age. I'm a man and was abused by a nurse (Living in a 'l face my neighbor' neighborhood).
From that time till date my sex drive is out of this world. I tried something at 14 with a friend and was caught and given jungle justice by my parent's except the lynching. The trauma and the shame I went through at the time, taught me a very important lesson. Dick is no respecter of persons and what ever you feed your mind with virtually have a great impact to your life. Fast forward to 1999, in my local church, we were told to make a commitment not to engage in sex until marriage. I need to state that before this time, i was somewhat not really interested, just needed to make friends and other things in life so the thought of it never crossed my mind. After that vow in front of the church and individually, we all went to a corner to anoint our dick and Vaginas with your own anointing oil, that was where the devil knew he would try his luck. From that time, the temptations and opportunities to have sex increased exponential. My dick was always ready for action. But when you find yourself making out with a lady and when it gets to the real action, your body will just remind you that you made a vow that if you break, you will die, that was how I stopped. Now that doesn't mean that I don't crave for it. I do everyday. It actually created another problem which is masturbation which I am hoping to end completely. On my own and joining different forums hasn't really helped, but when I fast and make it intentional, I find myself completely abstaining. Also social media isn't good for someone except you have conquered your fears and the triggers. I know my triggers and I have made efforts to avoid them. It's not been an easy ride. If you exclude occasionally masturbation, I have been celibate for about 19 plus years now

Then you are on solid ground sir
My issue is recruiters are afraid of people with foreign degrees and first class, since I came back, have been looking for one, the ones I see try to give peanuts, though I need the job but can't settle for something too low as it is difficult to leave a job in Nigeria where jobs ain't enough

Because you expected to leave the UK soon as u r done with ur studies, unlike the US and Canada.

Nigerians need to understand that tartiary is not the only way of education or how to get employed. I know of someone taking home N1.2m per month salary without ever seen the corridor of a university.
For real, share info with me abeg..
