Afam4eva: You're very wrong. of course Ibadan has buildings with red zinc but it also has normal houses like you see in Lagos. It's a very big city and one of the most important in NIgeria. We only talk about the city in negative light cos we believe it deserves more than it's getting. You can't can't compare Nnewi with a city that has a major university, TV stations and other i infrastructure that complete cities are known for. Ibadan is a complete city but Nnewi isn't just yet. It;s still growing though has huge potentials.
dats wat i mean by govt infrastructure. Aside which, *smh*

achi4u: The Nnewi soil texture is quite different, I can count how many times bank road (or Ezemewe road) were been constructed or reashpalted but within 6months the same road will be washed away. Until they removed the original soil before they got what they want. So, a massive work need to be done.
remove original soil cha?
Nawa o.

@ OP, post more pix nah.
Nnewi doesnt end there.
Wish i took pix of d place wen i was there.

TravelRe: Few Pics Of Nnewi by ketoprofen(m): 2:53pm On Oct 01, 2013
Afam4eva: Mr, people can compare Nnewi to Ibadan in a particular capacity but not as a city in whole. Ibadan is one of the most important cities in Nigeria and Nnewi isn't. NNewi is only mentioned in the capacity as a commercial and most importantly, an Automobile town/city. Nnewi still has a long way to go to be able to compete with the likes of Ibadan, Enugu, PH, Jos etc. It's a town that's growiing in infrastructure.
what are u saying?
Dont associate ibadan, sea of red zincs, with those other cities u mentioned above .
Ibadan can only be beta dan nnewi by roads and govt infrastructure, full stop.

PoliticsRe: Aregbesola’s Massive Looting Of Osun State by ketoprofen(m): 10:15pm On Sep 30, 2013
geeez: Okay we've heard but that didn't stop the state from having the fourth largest GDP in southern Nigeria for 2012 behind Lagos, Rivers and Oyo

It also didn't stop the state from increasing its IGR from N300m to N1.6bn per month in less than 3 years (Currently the state with the third largest IGR in Nigeria after Lagos at almost N30bn and Ogun at N4bn monthly)

If these landmark achievements are another word for looting, then let him loot your vain expectations to the very last penny
this same IGR dat doesnt relate to what is on ground.
D same IGR dat d osun masses dont feel,
if u want to defend d guy(which on its own aint an abomination) , talk sth more tangible.

Orikinla: All right.
But you know that the bad cases are more.
I forgot to add that my father was an Ambulance driver for years at the General Hospital in Lagos.
Nigerian doctors were not bad in the 1970s and early 1980s.
But things have fallen apart in Nigeria.
Doctors going on strike will worsen the situation of poor patients.
there are private hosp too.
Btw, do u know y they are going on strike?

We dont even have shortage of docs in dis country, not at all.
Infact, d num of med graduates outnumber d capacities of hospitals, i tell ya.

TravelRe: Few Pics Of Nnewi by ketoprofen(m): 11:28am On Sep 30, 2013
B2 mario: you have right to support any party of your choice, so abagworo should not be crucified for that. But i, myself i believe in personality not party. In my wonderful opinion, i think Ngige is the best candidate since soludo is no longer in the contest. I hope to see when anambra will be like hamburg city of germany with nnewi being the industrial power-house. How nnewi people are industralising their home of origin is something of emulation, i think orlu people, abiriba, nkanu and even ishiagu should do like such.
This is not d first tym Abagworo is bringing APC into igbo issues and he usu does so to spite anambra.
Is dat wat Apc is all abt? War for d igbo nation.
We have been living in peace in igboland even though we had opposition parties -pdp n apga. All SE govs are in good terms with each oda but rochas is making enemies with all d odas,
d prob we have with him is not that he is in apc but he behaves d way abagworo does-being more apc dan igbo.
Rochas doesnt attend meetings of igboland tnz again, he, ngige n oda apc ppl werent there during d opening of enugu intl airport. What were they thinking?
That its a pdp airport and not an igbo airport again? And sb is here rubbing apc to my face.
I si mu na ha bu our progress n'obi.
.
That aside, i also wish that other areas of igboland will replicate Aba, onitsha n nnewi , since d same igbos are ticking d clock in other states.
If we did it in nnewi/aba, we can do it in oda areas of igboland to show
nigeria dat SE was landlocked but its ingenuity was not locked up too.
Our politicians need to put this in their agenda, in a collective fashion.
Good morning.

Hearme: Ask him why should resident doctors go on strike over issues with Enugu state government?
injury to one is injury to all.
Enugu state docs have gone on strike too for issues with oda state govts
HealthRe: Nation Wide Strike By Resident Doctors From 1st October by ketoprofen(m): 10:07am On Sep 30, 2013
Orikinla: I can see that you are the one who is IGNORANT OF THE FACTS OF THE MATTER.

The last time Lagos state doctors went on strike, I was the only Nigerian online journalist who defended them and summoned international support for them and I did so at a great cost, because it pitched me against Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola when he was hosting an international conference and I was able to get to those attending the conference and told them to ask the governor to take them to the government hospitals and the Lagos state government suffered great embarrassment.
A pregnant news reporter I knew died during that strike among others.

Strike or no strike, I have seen how Nigerian doctors treat patients in emergency wards in Nigeria.
I have taken a collapsed woman to the emergency ward of the General Hospital on the Lagos Island and she was not my mother.
They did not attend to her until I spent all the small cash I had on me.
I saw horrible and terrible things happening to others who did not have any money or anyone with them.
I saw an old woman tumble from a transport stretcher and fell on the hard concrete floor and they were nonchalant, because she was a poor woman and had no relations with her.
I was in the ER with the woman I brought from 10 am to 11 pm before her family came. I could not leave her alone, because they would not have attended to her.

When my father was ill, I never allowed him to use public hospitals, I was only 20, but I spent all my savings to keep him in private hospitals for over one year, because I did not want him to suffer in public hospitals.

When you go to public hospitals in Nigeria, Nigerian doctors careless for their patients. But when you go to their private hospitals, they treat you better, because of the money you are paying them.

So, before talking to Orikinla, you should check first, before posting your stupid reply.

See http://www.nigeriansreport.com/2012/04/lagos-doctors-are-playing-politics-with.html
In other news, we just managed a woman with type 4 abruptio placenta, my first tym of seeing DIC.
All d doctors battled to keep dis woman alive, 3 of us donated our own blood n stl came back to continue d battle.
We gave our resources to ensure she didnt bleed to death, mobilised medical students who donated.
For straight 8hrs, we were sweating lyk asses.
@ d end of d day, d woman made it, dis is enugu state teaching hosp(govt).
U only discussed d bad side of doctors as if dats d routine
.
If we are to discuss journalists now..............

firedup: meanwhile, nard -are they not post garduate students? how come they are paid? is it not them that should pay fg school fees for using the hospital and patients as a practising tool(lab animals)?
now why are they complaining when ippis have exposed that they work as residents(pg students) in one Fg hospital and also m.o(medical officer) in another fg hospital and also working inalary private hospitals thereby collecting salary triple which is against the law.
u guys should just leave Gej alone
resident doctors that work their asses off are mere post graduate students?

Nnamdi Azikiwe college of Medicine, Nnewi campus.
.
Ladies n Gents, am in luv with this town and its ppl.
At least they listened to Ojukwu and decided to industrialise/commercialise their town instead of carrying d concept to kano, port harcourt, n Lagos .
The town that produced d ibeto, innoson, chikason, Cutix grps of companies, etc.
The town where the banks have deposits points busier dan d withdrawals; n most of d depositors carry money in ' Ghana-must -go' bags.
- the town is d first in Anambra abi SE sef to carry out Invitro-Fertilization.
.
The place with d most impressive looking mansions in d state, even in their most 'off town' areas.

.
That aside, who are those asking for road markings, and using d absence of road markings to underscore peter Obi?
Dem swear for una? Am not Obi's fan but How many non capital cities in naija has road markings?
.
@ Afam, am with Chino on this issue. Abagworo is more APC dan igbo and that is the worst form of 'Ofeke-ism' that ever existed.
What nonsense.
So, igbos cant talk on a normal platform again without party politics involved?
He could not even defend d kind Rochas d saviour sef.
And he has d guts to argue over d town i admire so much. *smh*
Aside lagos, no APC controlled town is more prosperous dan Nnewi

You are creative yet you have never converted one of your skills to a money generating venture...
