Leopantro: You obviously don't know that the said federal medical center that the Medical director claimed that doctors don't pass exams had the highest success rate in the March/ April exams. You can go to the exam center websites to see for yourself. Get your facts straight and don't be a gullible typical Nigerian
my friend do not try to bamboozle us,the point raised by justosaus is nothing but the naked truth, you can argue it and repolish it all you can,it can never make it an half truth, Ard are students and should pay for their residency,by so doing there will be space for those who had passed and thus would be employed, instead recruiting Rd to do the work of qualified doctors,
secondly, all doctors workinging in govt hospital should not own private hospital so that they concentrate and give adequate care instead of referring patients to their private clinic, staying away from work and yet claim inadequacy of doctors meanwhile the supposed drs are in their private clinic working for themselves and getting paid by govt for a work they never did
thirdly, all private hospital in nigeria must as a matter of must have a qualified nurse and not nurse eliza, trained by incomptent doctors,a qualified pharmacist and a lab or liase with a community pharmacy or a private lab
fourthly, we all know that they are kicking against IPPiS because it has exposed them,if there is any problem with Ippis, are NARD the only gvt workers affected,we must all say no to this blackmail called strike by NARD
finally, why do they cry bluemurder because the MD in owerri told them to leave if they do not pass residency, as some of them remain there for over 12 yrs, they now term her an enemy, or are those Phd holders who laboured and paid for their education but now drives truck for dangote not humans?,please doctors should get off this beaten track as it is no longer acceptable.
onye ara...2x

jayjagz: That SW peeps did not start seeing good things in time is your personal opinion, anyway, but I want you to know that we've not said he's to make the list merely because he's embarking on this projects but the time range matters in evaluations like this. Can you imagine someone who emerged in 2011 competing favourably with those of 1999, 2003 and 2007?
ok nah
PoliticsRe: Outstanding Public Officers In Nigeria Since 1999 by ketoprofen(m): 12:01am On Oct 03, 2013
jayjagz: The fact that he commented on his other plans doesn't mean the Governor is only drawing up plans without implementing them. The intelligent approach of Governor Ibikunle Amosun to the speedy development of Ogun State cannot be over-emphasised considering the short period it took even a common man to notice the dramatic change in the face of the state. His road construction projects can be described as nothing but first class even though it can't be done without stepping on toes. Before someone like Obasanjo can commend him despite that he's a defunct ACN Governor. I am an indigene of Ogun state but I school in Oyo state; on getting back to Ogun state it was only by God's grace I didn't mistake Ogun state. Other sectors have also enjoyed remarkable attention. They are just too fast with the building of the model schools and even the public primary schools which were not even conducive for dogs talk less of students have now been restructured, to mention a few. I must confess, Governor Ibikunle Amosun is committed to his mission to rebuild Ogun State.
i think d problem with sw peeps(aside lagos citizens) is that they didnt start seeing good tnz on time, any small token becomes 'OUTSTANDING' to them.
Chimaroke built many sec sch during his tenure in Enugu n heavily invested in educ at all levels, yet am sure no enugu citizen here has mentioned his name.

Dude, look @ d topic n think again.

Gbawe: Come on dude. Stop the mischief and dishonesty. You are a mod here and has seen many threads where the massive infrastructural achievements of Amosun has been revealed here so let us stop all this obsession with bare-faced mischief because I mentioned some of his "plans".

Even those who are not fans of the ACN/APC yet know Ogun State admit to the sheer massive scale of the ongoing work in Ogun State and I don't see what purpose it serves to deny what you cannot be ignorant of. Ask Ogun folks under 30 if they remember ever seeing this scale of work in the past.

This is how you always succeed to cause offence i.e using sheer ignorance to belittle what others have achieved because of your personal bias. Amosun, by any standard you want to use, has revolutionised the affairs of Ogun State especially with Infrastructure everyone can see an feel on a scale many still find hard to believe. You are the same person shown the extensive and comprehensive transport effort of Amosun taking in a BRT system and new taxis yet you still come here feigning ignorant deceitfully to be talking of "what is on ground". Na wa for you sha because I don't know any Nairalander, even the openly bigoted ones, as dishonest as you are.

B2 mario: nice contribution. With due respect, many 4storeys, 3 and 2 were knocked down in orlu even filling stations and reputable resturants in places like owus avenue, amaigbo road, bank road, owerri road etc to pave way for dual carriage roads. They wanted to extend the amaigbo road from orlu main city to adjunct like nkwerre and amaifeke but nkwerre people rejected it because they dont want their houses to be demolished. And dont forget that El' Rufai did it in Abuja where big hotels were also affected. So nothing is impossible!
lets hope and see
TravelRe: Few Pics Of Nnewi by ketoprofen(m): 8:27pm On Oct 02, 2013
achi4u: Yea! nothing is impossible but Nnewi case mighty be a serious case.

Let them maintain the one they have now. That town is too congested and densly populated.
no be small serious case o.
Where i lived, the roads are narrow but d kind of houses dat adorn them is not what u mite want to pull down.
Orlu story can neva be compared to nnewi, lie lie.
Imagine pulling down all those hostels ogbuawa has- gigantic n massive 3-storey students hostel n another 4-storey big hostel.
Am sure all these are not in d master plan.
D same man also has a 3-mansion complex in another place, which am sure are not in plan too.
So, imagine pulling down 7 massive houses belong to one influential man.
Remember am still talking abt ogbuawa o.........
Nnewi own go reach CNN abeg.
.
Ngige had d same problem as a gov @ awka. For him to plan d city , he proposed Choice hotels and others shd go down but at d end of d day, it didnt work.
However, they shd start that planning from Awka first.

PoliticsRe: Outstanding Public Officers In Nigeria Since 1999 by ketoprofen(m): 7:36pm On Oct 02, 2013
Gbawe: Indeed. Aside his huge achievements already in infrastructure in a short period, his urban regeneration plan and brand new Abeokuta flagship town development is really ambitious and impressive. One of the best on show in Nigeria currently behind the likes of Eko Atlantic.

The plans for the light rail network throughout Ogun, of which Lagos only boast of similar, is also an example of a very transformational achievement capable of vastly changing the productivity, efficacy and way of life of a people. One only needs to visit London, Paris, New York et al to appreciate the important of modular/linked rail transport. Amosun certainly deserves a mention and I expect Ogun State to be vastly transformed for the better by the end of his tenure.
ok.
But we are not discussing plans here.
We are talking of tnz on ground.

Ogininafio1: Nigerian doctors will keep suffering, you will suffer till suffering becomes your middle name.
I'll say this, like I say all the time; if you are a Nigerian doctor and you have not written or in the process of writing PLAB, USMLE, AMC , MCC , TRAS , NZRex you are doing yourself a lot of harm becos things will NEVER change! Get that into your head.
You will complain and strike till you become a conso, and after becoming a conso, you will now start to write the above exams and cross over to become an SHO.
Every day consultants call me to ask for 'materials' to these exams becos the country is moribund and no matter how much they are paid, they can never compare with counterparts practising in a world class setting. Unfortunately, their pay sef no reach. An attending physician equivalent to just an SR earns almost 200k dollars per annum that's over 30million naira. (I pity you nigerian doctors, doctors in america compare with celebs!)
I know some of my colleagues will fire me and argue back and forth but I've been at the frontline for the better part of a decade. So go ahead join the strike, fight but have ur back up cos , start today cos qualifying exams take time (2yrs on the average b4 everytin gels). Things will never change my brothers and sisters, better you change the world for your family and friends first. Cheers
well,u have a point.
But all of us cant vacate dis country.
Some are making it big in private hospitals; one can also invest in other tnz sha

Gbawe: Mumu, can you tell Nairalanders where the road below are in Lagos State? You should be ashamed of yourself. Me and you may be dedicated to our political camps but I draw the line at maligning PDP/labour/APGA/DPP administrators , or any others, I know are genuinely delivering for and loved by their people. That is what we should all uniformly subscribe to if predisposed to the developmental aspect of Nigerian politics. When a leader is loved by his own people, who are fiercely happy with his leadership on their behalf, a decent person (especially when a non-stakeholder) will not go there.

Political sophistication means we must, whatever our personal convictions, defer to the opinions of the electorate at all times. If, for example, Abians say they are happy with Orji then who am I to forcefully join issues with and insult those stakeholders over that announcement even if I personally disagree with their opinion? You, on the other hand, are not the least bit principled or morally upright so I am not surprised the same Aregbesola you have praised elsewhere is the leader you now attempt to malign because of your ignoble and two-faced nature.

If you have heard or been to Abia or Aba in particular you wouldnt have said this, Aba that has many reputable companies and big market before now. If the man is from Delta state it has nothing to do with business, by the way, the owner of the reputable farm, songhai farm which is one of the best and biggest in africa is from imo state but he has the headquarter in Port Nova and branches in Rivers state, Delta state etc. Even dangote and his group who want to build an ultra modern petro-chemical company in Ogun state that will cost 9billion dollars is from kano, so why not in kano?
