ChinoElects: At least 50% of the users of the airports you mentions are Anambrans coupled with the fact that the airport will sell aviation fuel. So having the airport in Anambra will eventually crash the ones in Asaba and Enugu to some extent, because there are little or no economic activities in those states to drive the airport in the first place. The airport is a critical infrastructure in Anambra because it will go on and open the state in the areas of oil/gas, industrialization, commercialization, agriculture, jobs etc..

Afam4eva: Abia is probably at par with Enugu. A lot of people think Enugu is very populated but unlike most other SE states, Enugu doesn't have big towns apart from the capital. So, most of the population resides in Enugu town but in Abia, apart from Aba and umuahia, you have some medium sized towns with sizeable population.

As an Enugu indigene, traveling to the village when its not xmas or festive times can be messed up.
Aside Enugu capital and some parts of nsukka zone, Enugu is not densely populated

I used to think Anambra was more populated, but then I took into consideration the sheer amount of towns Imo has and its high population density. Besides, most Igbo people I meet tend to be from Imo. Take into consideration all the people from the Ideato-Isu-Arondizuogu-Obowo-Nkwere-Mbaise-Mbano-Orlu-Owerri axis.

Anambra should have maintained the sea while enugu handles air cargo. as soon as this airport is completed it will kill the enugu international airport.

We know anambra has more businesses than enugu and the cargo will be more beneficial but stratgically as a region we wld av had enugu as the air cargo unit.
